Okay, so, the Mods have been considering something that would affect the entire RP, but we want to poll the people first.
As you know, we originally split the Earthlings into two groups because, at the time, the mods as a whole felt a little overwhelmed by a single group of such magnitude. It was an experiment of sorts, to see if it made things any easier.
It did. Eventually, though, both groups essentially got just as large as the original group (canons included). Logically, you'd think it would have been twice as hard... but strangely, we'd pretty much grown accustomed to planning for large groups, so it was no longer an issue.
What did become an issue, though, was the dead spots in both groups. There would be times when one group had zero activity, but the other was zooming ahead, which essentially ruined any hope of an equal timeframe without careful (read: annoying to both mods and RPers alike) handling. One group would be held up simply because the other group couldn't move forward.
This was further compounded by something I mentioned in my last post: RPers ignoring their secondary characters, the canons. People may post frequently with their Earthling characters, but completely 'forget' about posting as their canons. That essentially means those characters do not act... and let's face it, that's out of character. If the canons didn't act, they wouldn't be heroes of any sort.
Faced with both of those conundrums, we have a proposal:
When the groups reunite at Port Royal, a splitting will occur again, but with one key difference: the Earthlings will remain on the 'King's Quest', the main plot, while the Canons will all transfer over to the 'Queen's Quest', the secondary plot. The 'why' is already accounted for, so you won't have to worry about figuring out a reason for your characters to just up and 'jump ship', so to speak.
With this new split, the Earthlings can all progress down the central plot, and even if some people are inactive for a time, it won't hold the plots back nearly as much. As for the Canons, the main reason for the split is so they may progress at their own pace. They won't be 'required' to post, or rather, not as heavily as the Earthlings, because their plotline is simply 'follow a trail to Mickey'.
Now, for those of you who truly enjoy playing a canon frequently and are concerned that your characters will simply be lost, don't worry. The canons will still post, still progress, still develop as you had likely planned. And if, for whatever reason, the Canon quest is -still- not active enough for your liking, we will be allowing some Canons to stay along for the ride. It hasn't yet been discussed the limitations on such a thing (maybe two or three could take turns, switch out every so often, whathaveyou), but as I said, you will be able to post. We're not taking your characters away.
As for the canons who are, essentially, completely forgotten by their owners: any canon on that quest who hasn't responded in a reasonable amount of time to another canon's post will likely be re-opened for audition (assuming, of course, they're active with their other characters). It isn't fair that someone claims a canon, brings them in, and then does absolutely nothing with them if someone else wants to play that character.
The main point of all this is the actual separation, and this is where I ask for your opinions or concerns. Are you okay with the idea of the Earthlings being on the main quest, while the Canons are on the Queen's Quest?
And just as a little teaser, for those of you wondering when any sort of plot-related discovery will be made by the Earthlings: you'll get your just desserts soon enough ;D

Kuro told me this was in consideration the other night, and really the only thing I had to say about it were my original intents with Riku, which were to keep him with the majority of the Earthlings anyway since that's what he promised Mickey he'd do--but I don't play him anymore, so my voice is moot when it comes to him. xd As for the rest of it, hey, as long as some activity and progress is gotten out of this, go for it! You know me, I'll roll with anything you throw at me.
Bring it on!!! ^o^

I was there when you freaked out, Kyle, about this problem. I guess I will agree to the split because, at least for me, I was kind of sad when the earthlings split because of bonds and stuff. I however do not have a say in canons because my canon is a "world canon". Seriously... go for it.

Honestly, I think that would increase the activity of the RP exponentially.
I tend to post as Cloud more often than myself. >_> >o< <_< So, if this does happen, I'd rather like to have him come along with the Earthlings. It doesn't particularly matter, though.
Playing HA!Amy with more of the main group would inspire me, too, I think. :OOooOoo. In short, I think this is a grand idea!

I like the idea as well. I've been wanting to try picking up a canon for a while, particularly Vincent if he was available, but any canon I picked I was kinda worried about, because I was worried and I wasn't sure about how to just jump into it. I think that it would be a great chance for people to grab a canon and ease the work load, while being able to follow both quest's with more ease and dedication. I know that without a character on the King's Quest, I tend to just kinda...skim that part of it. So I say go for it.

I think that's a really interesting idea, and I'd actually be rping with people who I've talked with for forever in skype, but I've never actually rped with here. I mean, I don't have a canon character, so really I'm not heavily affected by this. Sayrike just gets to meet new people and have that awkward stage where everyone knows each other but she doesn't so she'll just stand in the corner and smile and nod and watch all the happy reunions. XD
Joking aside, it sounds fine to me.

I think the splitting is a good idea in theory, my only concern- which you've addressed- is the fact that to me, it just ' Wont FEEL like Kingdom Hearts' if we cannot have at least 2-3 of the Canons from that universe with us.
I would be more comfortable if we indeed switch between KH escorts like Sora, Riku, & the nobodies. How these are chosen is left to be sen.
Personally I enjoyed played Axel very much- I can't wait to get him back- because having him react and express himself around the variety of persona the Earthlings have was something I enjoyed the most. I want Axel to interact even more.
There were also moments which were preplanned that involved Canon thats I still really want to see played out. After so much planning it would be a shame to dump them. crying

As I said, the canons won't be dumped. They'll simply be allowed to go along at their own pace. Should they be 'dumped' by their owners, they'll be left up to audition for anyone else who wants to play them.

Things of Note!:To lessen the clutter of Stickies, the HA Profile Threads have been combined! There is now a Table of Contents in the first post, organized by type of character (Earthling, Canon, et cetera).
Also to lessen said clutter, the Random Chance thread has been moved to the Main Forum (since it can be used for anyone and for anything, really) and unstickied (since we don't have to worry about it getting lost in the, oh, 4 normal threads in that forum xD).
In case everyone missed it, Psalm Grasshopper has announced that her and Riokin's new roleplay Kingdom Hearts: Fragments of Memory is open for auditions! Please check the FoM Profile thread and the Information thread for details! Also, welcome back, Kichi, since no one actually seems to have responded officially 8D

Going to rape the damn HA Timeline come Monday. That is, we're jumping ahead and cutting off all this dead time that no one uses for anything. Why give anyone a chance to do anything, right? People much prefer to sit there with jaws hanging slightly limp, drool just slipping out of the corners of their mouths.
NOT BITTER. NOT AT ALL.
Also not being a drama queen. Pffffffft, me, neeeever. And I know a few of you are having really, REALLY hard times in real-life, so my immature passive-aggression isn't aimed at you.

HA ANNOUNCEMENT FOR ZORDS For those that aren't familiar with the Power Rangers universe, the Zords must be in Animal form. It can be any animal that relates to the summon, but it -must- be an animal (mystical or not), and not a human or a human-animal hybrid. Also, Zords are all approximately of equal strength, so someone with really low MS would still have a Zord with the same power as someone with really high MS. The only difference might be in any sort of energy attacks they use.
