Naruto Ginji Lestat The Iron Magus Camron Flamheart The Iron Magus Okay, not to sound cynical... But is anyone else already pretty sure how this is going to turn out? We'll find out the former friends' tragic story of how they became estranged, the entire populace of Gaia will be dragged into their quarrel, where we'll pop each other with special attacks in the forum and earn items, and then in the end the two sides will reconcile and be buddies once again, and everyone will go "Awwww." Also, does this seem familiar to anyone?I get what you're saying about the basics here. However, I have to point out that, this event is more than just how two friends are fighting over power here. This event is answering some long-time questions about the planet's history. We now know that there are more demigods than we realize. Many more. And that they could be right in front of us, without us even realizing it. We also know that Jack is more powerful than he seems now. It's very likely that most holiday icons here are as powerful. I feel that the admins will use this fact in the coming events now. And depending on our feedback, they might begin pushing this fact as much as they've been pushing the forum-based battle system. Truthfully, I feel that this event is going to be the base for a longer plotline. Demigods aren't something to take lightly, after all. If all goes well here, we may very well be seeing them a lot more. I respectfully disagree. I really doubt this event will have a big impact. Time will tell. Oh. There's some talk about this being related to Dragon and Kai.What do you guys think? if they seriously did that...I would lose all hope in the gaian plot writers.... Did what, exactly?

if they really derived this whole earthworm being the reason Overseer and Sentinal become opposing forces, simply because a Dev made an item about earthworms, way back when, due to some science experiment. I'm sorry...but going that far just to find a plot....the concept that's why they're doing this whole thing irks me...

I suppose....It's better than nothing...Though how awesome would it have been if instead, Flarn and Jack had teamed up and used their energy to summon the Zurg back?

Wow, for some reason I got an image in my head of Jack and Flarn doing a "Wonder Twin Powers, Activate!" move when I read that. @_@ But yeah, more Flarn would rock.

Okay, okay. So, maybe the worms are related, maybe they aren't.
But what about Titan's Legacy?
It's also a stretch, but in the Manga, we see the overseer giving life to a plant. Most of the Titan's Seed poses have to do with plants.
However, the two newest ones are earthy and fiery, which reminds me of the Sentinel.
Thoughts?

*mumbles about how the overseer is just as evil as sentinel* Nope....Coming up blank on this one...unless...what if the overseer and the sentinel have the same powers, but use them differently?

Look, I don't like the Overseer either. I've made that abundantly clear. He's all... fishy. And clammy. And stingy. And capitalist. And he always made me say "Thank you, oh benevolent overseer!" for every crappy gift he gave me. But have you READ S.I.N.'s profile? It's not looking like we have much of a choice.

If I recall correctly, I think Lanzer once said something about how they barely plan a month in advance, with just about everything. This would mean that only things released in the last month or so would even partially be related to the event.
The worms, Titan's Legacy, and most other things were released months before this event went into the planning stages. This would mean they have no tie-ins with the event, at all.

TIM, respectfully, That last statement I said was made with all seriousness. They're both demi-gods. Would it be entirely imposisble for them both to have the same powers, if only they had differint methods of using them? The overseer might use his for protection, while the Sentinel uses hers for.....something else.

So yeah, they might have the same power.

Ya. They don't do uberplots. (That is. Plan something years in advance. Like George Lucas did with the Clone Wars.)
But they could easily tie in all the little things to create the image of a planned plot. To create seeds of connectivity.
The worms theory is totally not far fetched. It could be. Might not be. Who knows. I personally would love it if it was connected in the slightest.
Especially as users have been going "WE WANT MORE PLOT FROM THE ITEM DESCRIPTION" for HOW long now.

I've been back tracking, trying to figure out everything that's happened since I've gone... and well, all I got was Sam and Liam hooked up. That disappointed me. Then, today, I suddenly get demi-gods. For a moment, Gaia seemed more like a world. Maybe it's a good thing.

Then, today, I suddenly get demi-gods. For a moment, Gaia seemed more like a world. Maybe it's a good thing. A single domain with multiple parts, all of which unconnected, only proves to create chaos on levels not required. It's easier to simply connect everything and create a back-story from it. It also gets everyone to stop yelling for more plot, at the same time. It also makes our job easier. Rather than tracking several disconnected bits of plot lines and NPCs, tracking everything as a whole is much easier.

Camron: One of he Devs said that they actually planned months in advance for this event. So who knows. But I do think that the worm was inspired by Jenzee's worms she loved so much. Which to me isn't a bad thing.
And it may be a cliche plot line, but the character design let that slide (a little) in my mind >>
