It was a strange and miraculous first. He was being tooled about not to places that mirrored clinical hell, but actually allowed to become well again...to an extent. The scene itself was actually more a blur than anything else, until the white hallway.

Silent, feral eyes slid around, checking his surroundings with an eerie calm. Seconds ticked away; then, in a sudden surge of violent movement, he slammed into the scientist and forced the man into the wall.

Start talking, and pray you have your scalpel. Where am I, and how do I get out?

Seething hate rang in his words as he pushed a crushing grip on the man's shoulders. With his body more or less restored, he was a strong individual, even without the use of his disciplines. And he was pissed.

Subject is showing increased vigour and a burst of aggression... confirm analysis from Elite Member Cora.

Understood.

*The scientist spoke into a small unit on his labcoat, watching Iden totally without concern*

This is a test run of your abilities under stress. The only way out is at the other end. You will be tested en route. Do you feel strong enough or do you require further vitae, test subject CX537?

Wrong answer.

The hissed words marked the violence that was then enacted upon the scientist. Iden slammed his head forward, cracking the doctor's skull with his own. From there, it would descend into blatant brutality; unless stopped, Iden was going to hammer the man into the wall with his fists, then continue hammering until he had neither a face, nor breath in his lungs.

And then the sickening part would come. Iden had no need to feed from the man; he was fixated on something more important. With a sickening crunch, he began wrenching the dead scientist's right arm from his body. Quietly, methodically, Iden tore the limb apart, until only the sharpened bone was left. It would be his tool for the improvised surgery he was about to enact.

Whimpering at first, Iden gritted his teeth and plunged the spike into his own belly. He gritted his teeth, fighting back the gasp that came when he began to saw through his own flesh; it was horrid, painful and mind numbing, but it was necessary. That THING they had implanted was there, and when the hole was big enough, Iden was going to stick his fingers into the hole and rip it out. The little parasite's fate was beyond his capacity to care about. He tossed it aside and leaned against the wall. NOW he needed to feed...and the doctor still had some left in him.

*Silence followed. The walls were coated with a material similar to Corbin;s ADNR so the scientist pulped against them nicely and offered little to no resistance. Upstairs, somewhere, people were ticking boxes and watching Iden;s moves. But no sound woudl come to him, or anyone approach. He'd just be left in the corridor, gurney and dead end behind him, corridor marching on ahead...*

Fists hammered on the walls; all of it was a test. Someone had the brilliant idea of unlocking his skills and powers. THe blows made no marks upon the wall, but they felt good.

With the bone implement as his favored weapon, and the doctor's labcoat maintaining his decency, he started down the corridor. Whatever these madmen and freaks had in mind, it could not be good.

*every move was scrutanised by those watching, his mental state recorded in turn. AFTER he'd gone 10 meters, a wall crashed in behind him, denying him the ability to back track to his last kill... where scientists were retrieving the baby and placing it back into an environemtn it coudl survive in... until the test was over anyway.

Ahead of Iden, a t junction. He could go left, or right. Down to the right, the feel of a breeze. The the left, the scent of blood.*

Breeze, or blood?

Iden had had enough blood to make him swear himself off of it. He was sick of the constant stink of steaming vitae...it reminded him far too much of the butchery he endured daily here.

Breeze it was. Ignoring the wall, he continued to move forwards along the passage, keeping his improvised weapon in his blood-slicked fingers. He was sick of this place; he had full intent to finish things when this "test" ended.

*The right hand corridor snaked a little, but as Iden heade ddown it and around the mandatory left turn further along, he'd find the source of the breeze.

Behind a metal plated grill, a huge turbine processed air into the facility, turning ponderously as air cycled through it form beyond. The corridor again split into two, one direction left into a room with a second exit on the far side and right, a small tunnel led through the wall into an open area beyond*

The fan. It had to lead SOMEWHERE. ******** this test, Iden wanted out. If it meant misting into a vent and crawling to freedom, then....

But the more Iden thought about it, the more he realized that was a poor idea. For all he hated these mad scientists, he had to admit that they were well prepared. It would be careless of them to leave an open vent.

Right it was. He scrambled through the tunnel into the expanse beyond.

The fortitude of these... DeSeers... in impressive...
Subject survival instincts are noticeably prominent, given even slim oppertunity...
Learning capacity is suprising, for a dead man...
Ingenuity in using human materials implies both an able mind but also desensitisation...
This has been evidenced by the information drawn form the Lady. We've all seen his scars.
That he didnt attempt the vent is interesting...
Too obvious a trap. He knows he is being tested.
And yet...

*Discussion, marks, data, all of it was going on as Iden would scramble into the next room... and be electrocuted the second he touched the floor. The tunnel was safe, so was the corridor on the other side, but the room in between was alive with current*

Electrified floors were bad news. Iden scented the ozone as soon as he slid into the room. There was no visible source, however...making it a curiosity he wasn't sure if he wanted to trust.

Aware that he could not stage an escape if he were incapacitated, Iden let one of the Ouroboros serpents test the chamber. When it was cooked, he felt the sting of the electricity, and swore.

Quietly, he planted his feet at the exit to the tunnel, and kicked. He hoped the momentum gained would propel him to the exit, where he could scramble his way out...otherwise, he'd be chugging vitae to mist his way over to avoid being completely crippled.

*Iden would indeed be able to make the jump, and another set of ticks was made in boxes.

The corridor ahead ended in two doors. Nothing distinguished them, no feel or mark gave either priority. There were gaps between the door and the top and bottom frames, but no scent came from them, or feel of a breeze*

With his scramble to relative safety came a few more grumbles. The longer this wore on, the more Iden just wanted to throttle someone and go home. He was missing the mansion something fierce; a sentiment he was sure to make known on the poor bastards running this nightmare when he got his hands on them.

Now it came to the doors...and Iden was not interested in which led where. Celerity was his friend; both doors were hammered open night instantly, leaving him backing off to avoid any backlash.

Brute force instead of caution...
He has the tools to investigate..
...which would imply a termination to patience.

*Behind door number 1, a pit. Behind door number 2, the path continued in another corridor. Only this time it was interspersed with little red beams. If Iden tripped them, red mist everywhere. If he avoided them, a dead end await him...*

The scientists would just love the inconsistencies Iden was making...with both doors open, the twin serpents were sent to recon each path. Weaving around the beams, one would seek to define the hallway and make certain his eyes were to be trusted. The other peered down the pit, and attempted to quantify that route. Iden, meanwhile, was crouched, clutching the bone knife in his hand as he waited.
