---- Agh, so this one was a bit later than I wanted it to be. Sorry about that, but Gaia was down for a good deal of the weekend and I was really counting on that time to get it done. But here it is. I’m sorry it’s so short. I didn’t really expect it to be any longer. However, I want to try to start putting issues out each month again. So read it up and don’t hesitate to give me your opinion of what you see.

1 H. Monthly Talks to the Newest Heads By: Oropher Valandil. -----Both Lilyanna Bell(Eowuclya) and Reese Coaste (Reese_Roper) are enjoying their new role as Heads. -----Professor Reese Coaste is a short, frail young woman with very pale skin. She cares about the welfare of her students and the elves in her classes. She tends to be a bit brisk, but deep down, she means well, and would give her life for all within Hogwart's walls. At least thats what she said about herself.
-----Professor Lilyanna Bell is 6 foot with waist-length jet-black hair. She has bright emerald green eyes and tanned skin. Her personality is that of a typical Slytherin stereotype when someone crosses her the wrong way. Usually she is cool with everyone and tries to be layed back. She also has a pet owl named Crimson and a pet calico cat named Tigre. Thats what she told me in our interview.
-----Both are very happy with the way Hogwarts is being run and hopes to stay for a long time.

2 Teachers Anticipate a New Term By Figgy Prewett
-----Once again, a new term has come to Hogwarts and this term’s teaching staff is “cautiously optimistic,” as Professor Coaste so rightly puts it. Professor Angil affirms, “I am anticipating a lot of work, but I look forward to seeing how active everyone will be.” This seems to be, more or less, the opinion of most of the staff. These interesting people chose to come to this very school. Some, like Professor Voluptuous and Professor Character, came from other magically educational institutions. Professor Angil owned a small store before she came here to Hogwarts. Then, others left rather interesting lives to come teach at Hogwarts. Professor Coaste describes her past occupation, “I was a traveler. Made my living training and selling nifflers. I did quite well for myself. I kept the first one I ever trained, Scruffy, and he and I are still companions today.” Hope Maxime Hagrid is only eight years old but has already led a life unlike many, being the daughter of two half-giants. Needless to say, this term’s staff is a most diverse one, but this is an advantage this term. Professor Character states it best; “We all have different teaching styles which the students get to experience.” -----All eight members of this term’s staff have taught here as Hogwarts before. However, a few of them are “dipping [their] wands” in other teaching methods and even in different subjects. Professor Character has decided to take up Transfiguration and states, “I'm a little scared that I might not measure up to teaching Transfiguration; but I'm excited that the term is going to be a great term.” Alutian has kept her subject but is planning to write more lessons this term, having only stated teaching at the end of last term. “I only had enough lessons for two weeks of last term, after all! Now I have to do lessons for ten weeks for two classes--it won't be easy.” However, other teachers have tried to change their lessons for a simpler method, “I’ve decided to write bigger and better lessons (and post them far more often) but only set one lesson for all my classes each update, as apposed to having 5 different lessons for each update. I really hope my students take to it. It allows me to mix ideas from my old lessons.” This is surely going to be a term of new ideas. “I’m excited to read the answers I get this term.” Hope says, “I really want to make them think.” -----The teachers even seem to be a bit more connected to each other this term. “Never before, have we had such a devoted staff at Hogwarts” says Mafalda Prewett, Deputy Headmistress. The second week of term has only just ended and yet many have already posted their second lesson. They even showed that they supported each other, when interviewed. “I think that the other teachers here at Hogwarts are doing a great job.” Says Professor Character and, when asked if there was anything to disclose about the other teachers, Professor Angil was not alone in keeping secrets, “What happens in the staff room, stays in the staff room, you won't get a word out of me.” -----Obviously, however, teaching is not all there is to life. “Life is not all teaching,” says Professor Character, “but I enjoy doing it. In my free time I like to read, draw, and just spend time with my husband.” Professor Angil agrees, “Teaching is just a small portion of my life. I love also to play video games, read, go snowboarding or swimming depending on the season, and listen to music at irrationally high volumes.” Then, some of our teachers prefer a grader kind of life when they aren’t teaching. Professor Coaste enjoys traveling the world with her pet niffler, Scruffy. “We'd gone over most of Europe in the five years we were full-time travelers. Next stop: Switzerland!” Then when she is not traveling, she reads and trains her little shiny-object-loving pet. Hope Hagrid, spends all of her free time making speeches to the giant communities of the mountains on trusting wizards and getting giant’s rights the “right” way. She even admits that, when she finally goes through Hogwarts herself, she wants to become the first part giant in a high-rank ministry position. However, then there are those who just enjoy being in such a wonderful place. Like Professor Voluptuous who merely enjoys the experiences of teaching. “I like to browse the Hallways of Hogwarts, it always reminds me of how lucky I am to teach here at Hogwarts, I also eat every now and again, I chat it up a bit with some of the other teachers.” -----Yes, indeed, this term’s teachers seem to have great possibility. The Deputy Headmistress stated confidently, “I think this might be our best term yet. I think we are really starting to get to where we always dreamed of being back before Professor Pinkie retired. There will always be room for improvement, but we have come a very long way since I first came here to Hogwarts myself to teach.” This term’s future has great promise. Many members of staff had little to complain about Hogwarts. The main complaint was that the student population is much too low and that many of the students really should pay more attention to their studies and all the activities that go on in Hogwarts. The only other complaint was Hope’s, who complained “a few of the door-ways are a bit low.” Professor Voluptuous merely stated,” I wouldn’t change a thing here at Hogwarts.

3 Lonny The House Elf Comes To Hogwarts By GeoStorm -----As he entered Hogwarts for the first time, he knew he was going to enjoy his new job. His old Mistress had passed on and his only option now was to come to Hogwarts. He was a little nervous, but he entered the school and began to look for the door. Lonny was short, even for an elf, and many students towered over him and frightened him. He looked in every door, but he couldn't find the kitchen. He couldn't even find a broom closet. How could he be a house elf if he couldn't even cook or clean? He was very upset. He sat down in the hallway and sobbed. He didn't know what to do. Finally, he came across a room filled with desks...just another classroom. Except that the desks were short! And there were other elves in the room! He was so excited. One of the elves showed him how to get into the kitchens. He cooked and cleaned and attended class regularly. Lonny was finally happy now and felt at home at Hogwarts.

4 -----Most fans of J.K. Rowling’s books have checked out her site and all those other biggies, like Mugglenet, The Leaky Cauldron, and the site get your hard facts, Lexicon; these are just a few of the popular ones. But many don’t go too far beyond that. Sure we all like to read a fanfic every now and then; and most wont say no to looking at some fanart. There are sites out there that are amazing, but most just don’t bother to look for them. So I’m here to give you the scoop. Each issue I’ll be showing the readers a site that I’ve found in my wondering about the internet.
-----This month’s find is still at large and in charge [of many Harry Potter fan’s desktops XD ]. The owner continues to make new additions to it all the time. I, myself, have been known to use her desktop images for my own desktop... often. ninja This site is always making me giggle. I highly recommend the music videos, desktops, and t-shirt images. It’s really much better to look at the site yourself, but I’ll post a few of the more amusing back grounds and even my favorite out of their few cartoons. So, let’s see it already, right? Just keep in mind that this is only a very small taste of the site, you really just need to go check it out for yourself.
(Just pick and click the background you want to see!)

And here are my two favorite cartoons... (Although I must admit that there are only four) The videos are really quite hilarious, I just don't have the means of hosting a muaic video.

5 H. Monthly Editor Kidnapped! (Part II) By Figgy Prewett -----When we last left the story of our editor’s kidnapping, we found her in a chamber deep under the forbidden forest. The chamber walls were lined in intervals with great statues of old and wise house elves. These were no longer visible, however, because the room had filled up to the high domed ceiling with scrolls of parchment in untidy piles just after she read the following: Quote: Dear Ms. Mafalda Prewett, ---We have been watching you and you have been chosen. These are the lists. Check them thoroughly if you wish to leave this place. We have created a mirror image of you to continue with your daily life, you will not be missed. Good Luck, The H.E.L.F. Council PS: Sorry, your predecessor wasn’t very organized… ----- Mafalda remembers, “I didn’t have my wand with me because I don’t normally take it with me to go brush Figgy’s teeth. I didn’t dare yell for help because it might have caused an avalanche of paper. So I had no other choice than to look at these lists I had been summoned to have a look at.” -----So, our editor sat upon the hard stool and stooped over the ancient desk to investigate its contents. She tried to open the large drawers of the desk to find some form of instructions, but they stayed firmly shut, although there was no lock. They were in no way labeled or sorted, but somehow she knew exactly where to start. “When I look back, it just made sense to start by cleaning off the desk. But I knew, somehow, that I needed to read them as I moved them, or else how would I know where to put them?” She soon discovered that they listed what looked like every person and creature that passed the castle’s threshold. Some held records of student’s misdemeanors, some their achievements, some held a list of the teachers and others held every lesson the had ever given, some seemed to look like a conversation recorded onto paper, some contained the names of the hundreds of house elves that cleaned the castle, and some just noted each and every living thing in no particular order at all. There was still no note of what she was supposed to do with these lists, but Mafalda read through each one thoroughly. After a while, she began to make mental notes about certain castle inhabitants more than others. “After I had gotten though the first pile, I was thinking to myself that a quill and ink would be nice.” No sooner had she thought this than there was a gust of wind in that door less, windowless corridor, a few papers rustled on the desk and there was a sensible looking quill and a large handsome bottle of ink sitting where there almost certainly hadn’t been before. So she took up the quill and continued, now making notes on some names and leaving others the same as always. -----This is how things began. If she felt hungry, a gust of wind would make a few papers rustle and a delicious meal would appear on the desk. If she felt thirsty, another gust of wind and a hot pot of jasmine tea, her favorite, and a canary yellow mug would appear. Besides these mysterious gusts of wind, Mafalda concluded that there must have been other magic at work in that chamber. The ink never blotted or smeared, her hand never cramped. Although she was dinking ample amounts of tea and eating delicious meals, she never seemed to feel the need for a bathroom. Nor did she ever feel sleepy or in need of a bath, she always felt awake and clean. Mafalda wondered, again; what on earth is this all about? How did this room or whoever controlled it know her favorite kind of tea or food? Well, because they’ve been watching me, she answered herself. That in itself was a disturbing piece of knowledge. Who were “they”? How did they watch her? Why did they watch her or decided that she was needed to do this tedious deed? Although, however distressing this whole situation was, Mafalda couldn’t help trusting the room and whoever may have put her there. “It was a bit like watching a good Saturday morning cartoon.” She remarks, “You start in a dismal state and you worry about what will happen next but, deep down, you know that everything will be alright and resolved in no time.” So, she continued to go through the lists; making notes and checking other lists. She was not entirely sure of what she was trying to do or what she was the goal was, but she knew she was doing the work correctly all the same. Once she thought she heard the scuffle of feet and a few times there was the sound of rustling papers, as if the scrolls were multiplying themselves even as she worked. -----Mafalda soon found that many of the scrolls were the same type of lists but from different dates. She began to put these in different piles and as she looked up to add another to a pile, she found them now neatly put into cardboard boxes. At long last she had gotten through the piles on the desk. The boxes of scrolls lay neatly next to it. As Mafalda places the last scroll from the desk into its box, yet another gust of wind blew and a sheet of parchment fell from what seemed either the sky or the top of a near by tower of scrolls. It was another letter: Quote: Ms. Prewett, ---Good Job. It seems you are getting the hang of it. We knew that you would know what to do. That is why we chose you. We have watched you long before you came to the castle. We knew you would come. We have been watching. We are the keepers of the lists and records; the force that acts out the will of the lists. We guard their secrets most jealously. We would try to keep them tidy and organized, as is our nature. However, a human has always worked on the lists in the Room of Records and we dare not upset the magic of the Room. When you have finished, we will appear. When you have finished, we will help. We dare not touch the lists before you; we fear the magic of the Room. The Room has always had a master to work on the lists and command our force. We have chosen you. You have gotten very far, believe it or not. We hope you have the best of luck in tackling the rest. To aid you in your work, we give you these gifts. We have chosen you. ----- As she reached the end of the message, another gust of wind made those stubborn drawers of the desk rattle and open. The two drawers on the left held supplies; the top held spare quills and more portable bottles of ink while the bottom contained piles of blank parchment. The top right drawer held Mafalda’s own wand and the bottom held a Siamese cat with icy blue eyes, a bracelet-looking collar of white and canary diamonds, and a rather worried and ruffled look. Mafalda looked back to the parchment and, again, a post script was to be found: Quote: P.S. We thought you might like the animal. ----- Mafalda immediately picked up her cat and hugged in a very affectionate way; she had been worried who was going to feed Figgy. The cat looked very glad, indeed, to see her owner. It seemed as if the feline had been just as worried and for similar reasons; who was going to remind her two-legged companion to eat. Mafalda then picked up her wand and wondered if she could apparate. Then she reminded herself that if she is, as she suspected, under the school like the Chamber of Secrets, then she wouldn’t be able to apparate anywhere because she’d still be within the school grounds and didn’t really care to find out what happened if you tried when she was in such a vulnerable and unknown place. She then turned to the room at large. There had to be hundreds of piles of thousands of scrolls and lists. How much longer this could take? What on earth was this all about? Who were these people? What are these people? All questions will be answered in the third and final part our story in the next issue of the Hogwarts Monthly.
