When giving only a couple inches with Talis' effort, Radevel began to actually put his strength into it and shoved all the harder against the smaller boy. Talis was never too hard to keep at bay even as unpredictable as he was considering their size differences. "Wrong answer!" the man practically yelled into the other's face, his hand moving off Talis's shoulder to grip him around the throat. "Time for games is over."

But.. hadn't they been a long time ago? he wondered absently. Why was he hesitating in just dealing out Talis's punishment and being done with it? It used to be that simple. Radevel's hard eyes kept a protective shell over his roaming, confused thoughts as he gazed down at the boy. His grip tightened all the more. He just wanted to curse Talis for all this. Damn. Damn him!

"Ungh!" he voiced, a noise of pain mixed with struggle. With the hard shove, Talis was successfully pinned between Radevel and the wall. Now feeling those strong fingers wrap tightly around his throat, the one of the boy's hands tried to pry off the grip which threated his air supply.

"Radevel, stop... stop it," he demanded. As the man's hand tightened further however, Talis became afraid. He'd always accepted the fact that the man could be dangerous... he knew Radevel could kill someone even if he rarely bothered to get his hands dirtied. But he never thought the man... willing to kill him. And now, as the boy's coloring began to pinken as he was having more difficulty getting normal-sized breaths to his lungs, he grew more fearful by the moment. Perhaps... Radevel wanted to believe it was his fault. The boy wondered maybe if he just pleaded guilty the man would at least stop choking him. And if he apologized for the crime... 'But I'm glad that whore is gone... I wish he was dead for what he did...'

Swallowing his pride and innocence, Talis barely breathed out,

"I'm sorry. It was my fault he escaped, Radevel. Y-you're right. I did it. I'm sorry." Talis looked at the man's fuming face in dismay. "I--" he started, pulling at those fingers to permit a breath so he could finish clearly, "But... I m-meant what I said last night. I did."

Radevel eyed that discoloration of Talis's cheek with sheltered interest. The human body would turn such colors in a number of situations. From excitement and embarassment, but among his two favorites.. pain and pleasure. The way Talis's skin flushed compared to anyone else always caught Radevel's eye. The hues complimented him so well, causing him to look all the more desirable.

The boy's confession broke through that train of thought. His hold gave way only enough to allow a proper amount of air to reach Talis's lungs, but no more. What was it he was feeling? Anger, of course, but.. pity as well? Surely not similar emotions as the ones Talis had confessed the night before. How dare that boy possess him with such feelings! Wasn't it a disgrace only to get the way of his work?

Maybe some other time.. But Talis had gotten in the way of his business and profits! It couldn't be overlooked or something may happen again.

Just as his hand began to slip away, it stopped on the boys shoulder firmly, pressing him even harder against the wall. In almost the same instant, the larger man's knee rose to connect hard with Talis's stomach. "Sorry? A story you tell far too often!" he shouted.

Shades of caramel watched the man's eyes anxiously, wondering desperately what Radevel was thinking. It was so difficult to know! His eyes seemed harder than usual and terribly obscure. He was thankful for the slight shift of the man's hand. Taking a few deeper, shaky breaths, his coloring slowly began to return to it's normal shade.

Unaware of what was coming, with the relieving freedom of that choking hand, Talis began to take in a two deep breaths. Radevel's knee struck him hard on his second, causing him to lurch forward against that hand that held his shoulder as the wind was painfully knocked out of him. A wet, glazed look cast over his eyes, but no tears fell at this time. He just felt... pain. And not the kind he enjoyed either. Radevel's angry voice rang in his ear. He said sorry too often?! It had been a lie to begin with! Talis bit down on his lip before a gasping out a breath. His head hung low now, the boy staring at the space between them. "R-Radevel," he choked out, an arm moving to try and move the knee away and protect the abused area.

Mizi's plum hues watched Slaine stoop to hold the returned boy in relief, concern, ... and could it be a flicker of jealousy? No, he had to remember Slaine promised him that he and Shinto weren't like that. When Lady B entered the room and more chaos was added, the brunette glanced over at the new boy. Perhaps he had been too harsh upon their first encounter. Mizi quietly exited the scene back into the kitchen to tend to the soup. The broth was now simmering in the pot as he stirred. 'I should be glad that Shinto's back. Slaine will be... happier. I can trust him. He's not like... Val. Just friends. Besides, think about what horrors that man must have put Shinto through... poor boy,' Mizi's mind wandered and the searing pan threatened to burn the soup with the young man's lack of attentiveness.

Now this was a much more familiar feeling. Absorbing the fear from another, seeing that pain etched beautifully on their features. That was what he was getting from Talis just at that moment.. But it wasn't enough yet. Seeing the boy almost doubled over gave him an open shot, he realized. Radevel let the boy push his knee away, but as before one blow came after another. A fist came down rather hard for the center of Talis's upperback with enough force to send him harshly to the ground.

He was sure the smaller boy had felt worse physical pain than this before(so far at least), even if it was the type he found arousing, but he couldn't recall anytime he had beaten Talis like this. Anger was a feeling he had begun to feel less and less toward the boy, leaning more toward annoyance, but with the belief that he had something to do with Shinto's release, that stored away anger rose with a vengeance.

"Don't!" Radevel growled, brows knitted in his flowing wrath. "Don't call my name like that."

The fist which so conveniently stabbed him in the back shot pain into his spine and forced Talis into a sprawled mess on the ground. He now arched his back, countenance contorted in a pain. His teeth slammed down on his bottom lip, drawing blood. After a moment, Talis peered open an eye, and reached out a hand to grab a hold of Radevel's foot.

... Terrified.

Don't call him by his name? Talis remained silent for a moment. He tried it again despite the warning, "R-Radevel... please..." Talis didn't know how to finish his sentence. Stop? Be reasonable? What...

Slaine smiled softly with the reunited family, but a certain wave of concern flooded into him. Shinto seemed.. almost empty in a way. As if his spirit had been broken and beaten completely. He hated, just hated whoever it was who did this to the boy! But Lady B was here now.. Things just had to be fine. They always were when Lady B was there.

The young waiter leaned in and placed a kiss gently on Shinto's cheek. "I'll be back, alright?" he said, removing himself so Lady B could take Shinto into her current care. Maybe she would be able to find something out. With that hopeful thought, he wondered into the kitchen to find Mizi seeming rather dazed.

".. Mizi?" he questioned. He noticed the soup began to boil angrilly and he placed a hand lightly on the other's shoulder. "Mizi!"

Was the boy really that stupid?! he silently asked himself while doing well to hide the incredulous feelings threatening to rise upon his features. He was certain this wasn't the type of pain Talis enjoyed. He told him not to say it, yet there it was again. Was he purposely trying to find any way to disobey him that he could?

Radevel jerked that foot away from Talis's hold only to bring right back for a kick to the other's side. "Please what, Talis?" he asked, glaring down at the prostrate boy on the floor. "You're always wanting something or another! Now it's impossible for me to interpret what exactly you're asking for anymore. But you know something? I don't really give a f*** what a selfish boy like you wants!"

Hearing the exclamation behind him, the brunette gave a start and snapped back attention to the angry pot. Steam coming off its contents heated his forearms uncomfortably as he hurried to stir it. His shoulder shrunk away slightly as he looked over it to see Slaine standing there.

"S-Sorry... wasn't paying attention..." Mizi muttered apologetically, feeling only a little nervous stir in his gut. He had been so caught up, Hikaru's entrance hadn't registered with the prostitute.

Despite his mixed emotions from Shinto's return, Slaine couldn't help but feel a pang of concern for Mizi now as well. What had caused him to fall into such a daze? He knew the drink mixer too well to know he wouldn't be upset with Shinto's return, but something still seemed off-set with him. And now considering himself the boy's lover, he was determined to find out if anything truly was bothering him. No matter what, he never wanted to see Mizi distressed ever again.

"Hey," he said quietly, his curiosity showing through with his tone as he moved just up beside Mizi, rubbing the other boy's upper arm affectionately. "Is anything wrong, Miz?"

A dark red trail began to spill over the curve of Talis's bottom lip and the boy let out a pained groan as he was kicked again, his arms unable to hide or protect himself effectively.

However, as Radevel angrily badgered him, one of Talis's arms went up to hide his face from the man. If Radevel was going to take glee in wringing whatever pain he could from the youth, Talis would do his best not to show it for now. When his master's final claim was left to ring in his ear, Talis cringed. He wanted to reply, but he had no idea what the man would do should he say something more. Still, it was better than the alternative...

"Please, stop! I'm sorry!" he pleaded, "Just... stop..."

Mizi switched off the heat to the stove and finished stirring the soup. He hesistated despite the security that sweet hand bestowed upon him. "I..."

But whether it was Mizi's concern of causing the other distress for his own doubting of loyalty, or his anxiety of becoming too much of a burden for anyone, the brunette couldn't bring himself to say anything.

"I'll be okay," he murmured finally, "I'm glad he's back."

Mizi turned and offered Slaine a soft smile. "Aren't you?"
