"Well, there is no reason for Leo and Asher's friends to stay at the apartment for much longer. I don't see why they can't come tomorrow," Daniel replied to Elsa, and thrn he addressed Rin. "Tea in bed sounds nice. Earl grey with lemon, if you don't mind." He was indeed very tired. Many of the members he once took care of had been reporting a chain of terrorist attacks against people with abilities ever since a boy with visions (they must have been talking about Leo) made it to the news. They had asked about Rin and Elsa, worried that their sisters (in the old terms) might have seen them as well. "Elsa, Rin, have you been aware of recent terrorist attacks targetting those such as you?"Raki stopped bothering his brother when his grandfather mentioned terrorists. Though he had not been addressed, he felt that he needed to say something as well. "I think there were some that attacked a restaurant in the bad side of town," he said. "The eyewitnesses said they had been looking for weirdos."

Leo had just eaten a piece of meat when the topic was drastically changed. Then he heard Raki's voice and became worried once again. He hadn't seen much on that day but he did see the symbol they were all wearing in the fire. Leo didn't want anything to do with this right now so he decided to stay quiet and play innocent.Elsa and Rin stopped eating as well, but only for a few seconds. "I haven't heard anything on the streets recently. I haven't gotten any messages either." Elsa said softly and continued to eat. Conversations like these weren't abnormal.Rin hated this part, the only way they would find more information without actually going to the terrorists hide out was for her to use her mind's eye. "I....I haven't seen anything yet....." she said softly, but she could feel Daniels eyes lingering on her a little longer. "Please don't make me look....not now......" she said softly, though she whispered the last part as she began to remember the last time she looked through a criminal's eyes.

Asher glanced at Leo, remembering their conversation about the burning restaurant before. Seeing his uncomfortable brother, he decided to say nothing of it. The two of them had just got here. They didn't need to be questioned right away.Daniel would have requested for Rin's cooperation, but it seemed she had yet to recover from her previous sight. However, it was important that they know what the terrorists were up to, though he did have to consider her plight. Criminals usually saw the most disturbing things, and it was often that those who can see through them were very fragile. "Very well, I won't ask now, but I hope you'll be willing to look soon," he said."How about I go after them?" Raki suggested. "Being a spy, it would only make sense that I infiltrate their hideout." He had to pout when his grandfather quickly refused, saying that he was too young for even this sort of mission. "I've been on worse." Daniel's mind didn't change.

Rin gave a soft nod. "I will try..." she said softly as she began to eat once more, though she was definitely not looking forward to this at all. At times like these she wished she could just disappear for a few days.Elsa placed her hand on Rin's knee to try and comfort her. "Don't worry Daniel, we'll find out something." Elsa quickly finished her dinner, though she was usually the first to finish anyways. She brought her plate into the sink and came through the dining room again to go into her room. "Raki it's your turn for dishes tonight." she mentioned on her way downstairs.

Daniel had to chuckle at Raki's complaint, specifically the comment about how there will be more dishes to clean. "Now, stop complaining and accept the chore," he said much to the dismay of his still very immature grandson.

Leo wasn't sure if he was enjoying his stay very much, it was such a different environment than what he was used to. Leo pushed his plate away and gave a soft sigh. "I'm not hungry." he said softly as he excused himself from the table and tried to follow Elsa's footsteps downstairs, though it wasn't without running into a couple walls first. He was kind of glad nobody helped him when he ran into things, it forced him to figure everything out on his own. Leo continued to their room, making sure he counted the steps accurately so as not to break into someone else's room, and sat back down on the bed. He was starting to miss the apartment.

Asher, seeing Leo leave, decided to get up and follow him, though only after a while of trying to decide whether or not he should go. It didn't even matter to him how his biological brother would feel. He just needed to get to Leo. After a year with only the two of them, being in this environment would take some getting used to, and he was sure his brother would need the most help with that. Entering their room, Asher once again found Leo on his bed. "Feeling homesick?" he asked, taking a seat next to him.

Leo gave a soft nod as his brother came into the room and sat down next to him. "There are too many people here." he said softly. "This place is too big. It's harder to figure out where everything is at." Leo looked toward his brother. "They said that....Daniel will pay for everything, living expenses, food, school....do you think it would be greedy to ask....if he would help us pay for an eye surgery?"

Asher couldn't help but wonder. "I don't think so," he answered. "You're technically his grandson now, so it would make sense if he helps you, but I don't know if it's wise to get surgery right now. That kind of eye surgery is still in early development." He wanted to be sure his brother would have his sight restored without the risk of a theoretical side effect.

Leo gave a soft grumble, bringing his knees against his chest. "Easy for you to say...." he mumbled softly, though he knew it wasn't Asher's fault that he couldn't see. Sometimes it just felt like Asher didn't understand what he was going through, sometimes Leo wished his brother couldn't use his eyes at least for a day. "I'm still going to ask. I don't care what the chances are, I want to at least try."

Asher rolled his eyes. He supposed they could always try and try again if the surgery failed. "Leo, didn't you say you were able to see again temporarily when you tried to help Chase at the restaurant?" he asked. "If possible, we can help you find a trigger so no surgery will be necessary, at least for now." If his brother had no patience to wait for surgery, they could try something else for now.

"That was just luck. What if I can't get it to happen again??" Leo put his head down against his knees. "At least I don't have to worry about hiding from you. I'm glad I can be myself." he said softly as he leaned over and rested his head on Asher's lap. "What do you think mom would say if she were here?" Leo asked, enjoying the warmth of his brother's legs.

Asher had to think of that. What would their mother say? "She'd probably say to have patience or something," he said, running a hand through Leo's hair. "Maybe also tell you to grow up a bit. Then she'll tell me once again to protect you and make sure nothing happens to you. Not sure how well I've been doing that. What do you think?"

Leo almost didn't want to answer that. But then again it wasn't exactly Asher's fault that he was getting into dangerous situations. Leo was putting himself in those situations by himself, if anything he wasn't protecting Asher very much. "I think you've been doing a pretty good job." he said with a smile, flipping onto his back and bringing Asher's hand to his face, kissing his knuckles softly.

There he goes again, Asher thought to himself when Leo kissed his hand. It wasn't an annoyed thought, but he did notice this was happening a little more often. Even so, it was cute, and he couldn't stop himself from giving his little brother a peck on the forehead. "You're too adorable."
