It was quite late. Obviously. Penn and Liao had, eventually, gotten through dinner. But, of course, that just couldn't be the end. Penn wouldn't let it be.
So they went out and watched a movie - luckily Penn had chosen a codemy over one of the new mushygushies or horror flicks - and then went out for a late ice cream. Liao was becoming increasingly irritated with the prolonged 'date,' but couldn't quite complain. It had been... well, it wasn't... it could have been better, but it had been much better than any of his days spent at home. His life seemed to be taking a deffinate positive turn.
And then, finally, it was time for the date to end. It was probably around one in the morning, but Liao really wasn't sure. Penn road with him in the bus to make sure he got home alright (he also had some business he needed to take care of in the area, although Liao wasn't at all sure that this was true because it really was quite late).
"'Night," Liao murmured slowly, turning to open the door to the apartment complex.
"Goodnight, Liao," Penn replied, swiftly bending down to leave a small kiss on the other's cheek.
Liao glared at him. "Now why did you have to go and ruin a perfectly nice evening?" he asked, his tone scathing.
"Oho, so you admit it! You were enjoying yourself." Penn grinned broadly and gave a short wave before departing, Liao's fixed glare traveling with him.
The boy sighed softly and then proceeded to make his way through the apartment complex until he found Wei's room (he had made especially sure this time to remember the way). He knocked on the door softly and waited for a reply.
But there wasn't one. He knocked again, waited, and then proceeded down the hallway to where he thought the... the twins lived. He knocked and waited.
((Wei is fully in the room, right? sweatdrop ))

TableTopWatch Fuuyo tried to stop himself, he really did- but as one hand was occupied with a book and the other was grasping the hand rail, he couldn't quite hold a hand over his mouth to stifle his smirk, nor the just barely strangled chuckle.
"My, oh my~ You alright there?" He asked with a brilliant grin, blue eyes set on the teen before they moved towards the desk he had finally been shown. "Thanks for you help, Kiddo, I owe you one," he added, sauntering his way towards his destination. Although he had only found one of the necessary books, he supposed a bit of smooth talking and rich coffee would have his boss thinking of other articles, other stories that needed to be written...and nothing of that smart-a** assistant who never seemed to get things right. Sin nodded. "No problem," he said indistictly, pushing his glasses furthur up his nose with a finger (they had begun to fall down as he stooped down to pick up his books and had been irking him sufficiently ever since). He picked up his books again, arms immidiately protesting this over-stressing of their usually lax and ill-excercised condition and began to haul them over to the counter.
He set them down heavily and waited for the librarian at the desk - who was one of his aquantences - to see him. The librarian smiled broadly, reaching over with a wide hand to carefully grab the top most book and behin to scan.
"More aquarium books?" he asked in a conversational tone as he continued. 'Aquarium books,' huh...
"Not exactly. The ocean is rather larger than any aquarium I know," Sin replied with a small shrug.

Haro froze, his hands still as he stared at Shin with wide eyes. He could just as easily tell him that he had a bad dream, involving a certain snake, and then...leave, but-- The boy blinked several times, swallowing hard, before he answered; whispering something about how much he loved the tiger and that he didn't want to go. Almost breathless, the smaller teen added quickly that he was in his room and wouldn't leave even though he had asked nicely.
"H-he...He said...he said he'd...hurt you if I didn't go with him and I didn't want you to get hurt so I just wanted to say goodbye," he murmured softly, his voice barely above a whisper as he curled slender arms around the tiger's neck in a gentle hug.
-----
[[Yeah, I can't remember if I actually wrote that he was, but he's supposed to be. :D]]
"So then he was like, 'I saw her first, you b*****d, blahdedah,' I kind of forget what he said after that but the look on his face was hilarious! You should've seen it. So he came closer, with this murderous look'n his eyes and--"
The snake's storytelling was cut short by a series of knocks. Vi glanced at the door slowly before registering that someone was on the other side, waiting to be let in. His mind got all fuzzy when it was late, not to mention whatever Wei had put in their drinks. The rabbit rose gingerly, taking less than graceful steps forward, towards the door. Why did it have to be so very far away??
In reality, the door was only a room away from where Wei and Vi had been sitting, popcorn and candy wrapers scattered around the coffee table, admist quite a few glasses of some sort of, most likely alcoholic, beverage. "Oi, Viiiiii~" The older male dragged out the syllable until he was out of breath, grinning wildly as the slender teen turned back around with a flustered twitch of his tail. "Are you sure you're okay?"
The rabbit nodded pleasantly, turning back around with a wobble as he pitterpattered towards the door. Opening it with a sweet smile, the teen mumbled something about alley cats as the scent of feline hit him like a one pound bag of kitten treats- the fish flavoured kind. "...Isn't it...late-" He couldn't exactly think of the right word, he was trying so hard though. "Late for...kids to be..wandering the halls?" He asked, clearly more than a bit tispy as he stared at the kitten without recognition.
[[Oh my~ .__.;; On a side note, I never realized the numbers for Vi's font color either. OH THE IRONY. D:]]
-----
This is what he would say as he presented the single book he found (even though he was supposed to bring back three) like a rare and valuable artifact. 'Oh Sir, won't you accept this humble sacrifice to your...awesomeness. I brought doughnuts, and the hazelnut coffee you like~ Why don't we discuss your current stories over said pastries???' Get the man thinking about food or coffee, but only as a last option. Talk about coffee was dangerous because, he, himself did not drink the vile stuff, so the conversation wouldn't last long...
He rehearsed and re-rehearsed the plan over in his mind as he waited in line to check out his book.

The woman in the door frame raised an eyebrow in question then sighed before turning a pointed glare at Adrian. "So, fox, why leave you life of solitude and come to a disgusting place like this?" Her one eye was harsh and peircing.
The younger woman, who was still latched to Adrian's neck pipped, "yeah, and why with such a little boy- boy? Why not stay in woods with Moeteko and Kibachi? We no fun no more?" Her pout was cute and innocent as she stared up into the flustered males eyes. Then she suddenly purked up, her red ears appearing with excitement, "Moeteko know! We find you cuter, nicer boy-boy and you come home, ne-- ne??" Her eyes shone... she was, of course unaware she had insulted Bo, though she was not one to "think" things through.
Kibachi watched as Adrian weakly tried to dislodge the younger woman from him. Her interest was on the young male who, at the moment, was clutching the honey. He said Adrian was nothing to him, which means Adrian was just being nice and courtious... not flirtatious-- which means he hadn't come out yet... she sighed darkly. How annoying...

((Aw, scan it! Scan it! 8DD
I'm trying to get together a pic of Zephyr and Hei, but I have had a crapload of work lately. D8 ))
Bo glanced over at the annoyingly perky little fox...thing (in his mind, being of such undoubtedly cheerful nature were "things"), a small scowl on his lips. He had at least had enough experience to know that he was undoubtedly catogorised as being 'cute' (despite his attitude problems).
"I doubt that'd ever work. It think Mister Clueless here is asexual..." he muttured under his breath.

Kibachi raised her eyebrow at the younger males mutter and her lip twitched slightly in a smirk. The young male sounded... irritated-- that Adrian was oblivious to any and all advances. Does this mean the young male held a small amount of interest towards the grey fox, that he too was unaware of? Her eye sharpened on the boy as she calculated out the posibilities.Adrian, whoever, blinked up at girl clinging to him and tried, once more, to dislodge her from his chest. "Moeteko," he said in his calm voice, "I like it here. I'm learning how to inhabit this human form of mine. I was unable,of unlike you, to live with and as a human before now." His eyes softened. "I still don't understand most of the human customs or forms of communication. I've just gotten used to the 'hand shake'. "Adrian's lips quirked at the first time someone offered their hand to him. First he thought they had food to give him, then he thought they wanted to pet him... it was an unforgetable encounter with a flustered old woman who, with her purse, taught him that human don't pet each other.Moeteko pouted. "Adi~~" she whined, "I don't want to share you with sticky boy-boy there!" She pointed at Bo with an angry jab. "Ki-ki and Adi are mine... " she pouted again as she tightened her hold around his middle.((I really have no idea how Bo feels for Adrian, I'm just throwing things out there-- sweatdrop Oh! And there are the two links to Kibachi's and Moeteko's sketches: http://www.deviantart.com/deviation/47206304/http://www.deviantart.com/deviation/47206983/ ))

((I saw it already because you're on my watch. 8DD
They'recute.
And I'm not quite sure about how Bo feels about Adrian, either... I suppose he thinks he's a bit of a clueless idiot, but nice enough. Bo isn't nearly as easy as Zephy, tho, so don't expect him to suddenly go 'fmgiloveyouwtfarethesestupidgirlsdoinghere??'))
Another black mark in the young teen's book. Sticky, was he? Well, considering that he was eating honey, it was true... But that wasn't the point!! The point was that that... girl was making fun of him without a second thought.
"Oi. 'Sticky boy-boy' has a name. I'm not off in some other room where you can be assured I'm not there to hear your insults, and I'm not hard of hearing," he said, looking grumpy. Had his hands not been sticky with honey, he probably would have picked up his books and continued to read, a deep scowl on his features. But, as it was, all he could do was continue to glare.

((I'm glad you like them... drawing on a plane leaves something to be desired but *shrug* oh well ^^. I didn't think Bo would-- he's to independent to cling to the first cute male he sees)) Adrian slowly stood when Bo spoke scathingly at Moeteko. Suddenly he realized he hadn't done introductions-- that was a common human courtiesy and he had forgotten! He quickly gestured between the three. "Kibachi, Moeteko, this is Bo, he's a customer. Sir Bo, these are Moeteko and Kabachi." He then beamed at the fact that he did a human action correctly. He was learning!
Moeteko didn't even look at Bo as she continued to whine and whimper at Adrian. While, Kibachi rolled her eyes at Adrian and shrugged in the direction of Bo clearly saying that 'he's-so-clueless-you-gotta-love-him.' One would wonder how Adrian had stayed alive... until you realized it was only his social skills that where lacking. Not his intellegence in other feilds of life. ((I really don't know what to do to make Adrian "come out of the closet" sweatdrop ))

((Maybe if Ki passed him some buttpron he might be all like 'hoshit*nosebleed*' and wake up. xD;;; I dunno. I don't really have any ideas pretaining to that.))
Of course, that hadn't been at all what Bo desired. But it was an attempt (a bad one, but still an attempt). He nodded towards the two, although he still looked distinctly irked, and spooned another gob of honey into his mouth.

Shin was, then, quite awake, his bright eyes mimmicking the other's golden hues in their wide-open aspect. Haro... leaving? Because of Shin? Because he was... worried about... him?
"Haro... don't leave me, please...." he began, his voice a subtle whisper as he gazed imploringly over at the other, his heart racing. He knew he sounded... desperate. But he found that he didn't mind because that was, in fact, what he was. He... he couldn't... He had finally allowed himself to fully feel -- feel what he felt for the boy. And he was going to leave to protect him?
That couodn't be right. It just couldn't be.
"No one will hurt me, I..." he began. But he had to stop himself. How could he honestly be sure that no one would hurt him? For all he knew, this Benji person might not mind being a murderer....

Kibachi suddenly walked forward, grabbed the young girl who yelped a bit at the harsh grip, and pulled her away from Adrian. "Moeteko," Kibachi said sternly, "I would like to speak to Adrian about his plans here alone, so you stay and keep the young gentleman here company, and we shall be back."
Moeteko pouted before wrapping her arms around Kibachi's neck and kissing her passionately on the mouth. She then let go with a smile and said "Okey dokey" and waved happily as Kibachi and an exasperated Adrian left the room. Moeteko then turned her attention to Bo and sighed. "You're not ******** him right?" Her tone had changed, as had her posture and air. "I mean, don't get me wrong, I would love for Adrian to find a good partner and rut until the cows come home but really," she gave Bo a one over, "your young, city born, and a bee..." She roled her eyes at that. "But," she stated with a smirk, "I don't think you are, so I don't have to worry about Adrian getting involved with a sheltered insect." Her eyes where sly, cold, and narrowed.
((She's my cute b***h ^^ I personally love Bo, though 3nodding ))

((Haha. I have some girls like that. *coughCandycough* Candy is more right-out b***h from the beginning, though.... And her luvvy is a girl named Clover, who is total 'devilbitchf*ckyes.' 8D;;; They'reinteresting.))
Well, that was unnexpected, to say the least. "Hell no. Just 'cuz I'm in the same room as some ridiculously clueless guy doesn't mean I'm going to just... slut him up. That's my brother's job...." he muttured. Bo deffinately sounded exasperated - and the not-so-perkypreppy girl would be serving as his object to vent on for the next while.
"I'm not a whore. I don't sleep with people I've only just met." He met the other's narrowed eyes with a quite acute glare of his own, arms folded over his chest (the spoon was clutched protectively in one hand, well away from any flesh).

At first, Liao had thought he had the wrong room number (perhaps the twins were actually triplets and the third of their number occupied yet another room?), but upon closer examination (which basically meant a glance inside to see Wei sitting relaxed at a table further in), he realised that it really truly was Vi.
"I... uhh...." he began, staring up at the other in mild disbelief. He wasn't sure at all what to say to the obviously drunk rabbit. "Wei told me to come here?" he said hurriedly, glancing back over at the snake.

Moeteko smirked then, "good..." She then seemed to revert back to her bubblely self as she bounded overly gayly and snatched a cookie from the platter. Her eyes closed and her vixen ears twitching with pleasure.
Kibachi stood with Adrian in the other room. The had been catching up on news for a bit and had fallen into a comfortable silence. "So, any propect mates?" Kibachi questioned bluntly. Adrian shrugged "not really, most people annoy me, expecially females." He glanced at Kibachi, "I don't know what I'm looking for. I don't think it's a female partner. Nor one that is pure human."
Kibachi studied the pondering male for a second. She didn't know anything about the boy in the room, but at the moment there was no chemistry. She need Adrian to meet some other males that where anthros and not "traditional" in their mate selection.

"You have some sort of split personality or something?" Bo asked somewhat peevishly, although his tone was merely conversational. He was obviously still quite irked over the other's snootish prejudgment of his bee nature.
