((Oh wow. I could have not wished for a better post for me to take a leave yet have room for a come back. *bows* I'm appologize for my absence and I hope you will all welcome me back))
His breath was short and quick. His legs were heavy and felt as if they were going to give up on him, yet he continued to run. After being trapped in darkness for what seemed like years upon years, he ran of his life. The rain slammed on his fraile shoulders hard and angerly, the sky roared with thunder. He didn't care, he had to get away.
Long locks of uncut and unclean hair blocked his vision, but like a homing pidgeon, he made his way down the cold dark streets to his haven with ease. Turning a corner, he mis-stepped and fell onto the hard pavement, his body screamed with such pain he could of blacked out right then and died there. The footsteps behind him grew closer and he forced himself up. After nearly an hour and a half of running for his life, the footsteps had stopped following and only the sound of his own bare feet on the wet concrete echoed off the walls of the city.
He ran up the porch stairs of an old victorian fashion house and scratched at the door.
"O-Open.." he pleased with a sore throat, on the edge of bleeding.
"Please open..."

"Please open..." ((Glad to see you're back Derniere-san)) Adrian, after just entering the warm building heard a thump and scratching sound at the door. Having his hand still on the knob he turned it and opened the door only to see a beaten boy on the stoop. Without a though Adrian's long pale arms descended, wrapping themselves around the form of the boy and lifting him gentle before carrying the young male inside. Kicking the door softly shut behind him, oblivious of the chaser, he laid the man down on a couch he saw there.
"Comrade," he yelled to one of the workers that he would soon be colleagues with, "bring a glass of luke warm water and a pail of warm on the verge of hot water and a sponge and towel!" He glanced down at the young man once more before adding, "make some soup as well!"
With that he knelt by the boy and stroked the wet bangs from his face and felt his forehead for a fever.

By the time Mizi had finished the drinks, Slaine was dishing out the last pancake onto the plate. With his own can of whipped cream, he made a smiley face on them each and grinned at his work. "Perfect," he said in triumph over the breakfast, setting a couple slices of bacon on the plates as a side.
"Mizi! It's do-.." the waiter started, but his voice caught in his throat when he heard Adrian's yell. As much as he wanted to first check on what was happening, he thought it wise to first follow the instructions. He flicked the faucet on to begin warming water as he hurriedly began searching for the said items. Sponge, glass.. Those were easy enough. He had those out in enough time. Towel and a bucket? Not so much. It would take too long to find those. Or at least longer than he'd want to spend.
Slaine let the sponge soak under the warm water before filling the glass. Who could be out there? he wondered.

Mizi froze with Slaine's own mid-sentence interruption. Someone... needed help? The brunette watched his partner begin on the instructions and figured he, too, should help! "I'll get the towel from upstairs," he declared urgently, running from the kitchen and scrambling up the carpeted staircase to the linen closet.
"Towel, towel," he murmured in a chant, fingertips itching for the fabric as his violet orbs scanned over shelves of bedsheets and pillowcases. When his fingers connected with the precious terrycloth, he snagged it from the closet and returned down the stairs as quickly as he could manage.
"Slaine! I have a towel!" he panted, breathing labored from the scampered run. "What's wrong? Do you know?"

Adrian hissed at the warmth that entered his pale chilled hand from the feverish forehead beneith him. "A compress as well! The man has a fever!" Adrian's collected, cold voice rang across the still room. His cobalt gaze searched the young mans attractive face. With a quick movement Adrian's pale digits to unbotton the shirt that clung to the man's damp chest.
"Grab a blanket as well!" Adrian ordered as he moved to the mans pants. He had to get him out of these clothes before the youth got any iller.

Talis awoke in the midday sunlight streaming into the dimmed bedroom of Radevel Taibel. "Radevel..." he murmured. Chestnut eyes blinked a few times and the boy turned in a hazy state of wakefulness over to find... his lover's side of the bed empty. An indent in the pillow was the only sign of the man ever being there. The night before... he'd told Radevel everything. He'd apologized. He'd cried.
Sitting up in bed, the youth hoped that today would be different. That perhaps, Shinto would suddenly become insignificant. And that maybe just maybe, Radevel might eventually... see him in a different light than just another whore. A hand rubbed at his eye, and he pulled on the hoodie he had on the night before, followed by those baggy pants. With a soft yawn, he slid his loosely-clad body off the soft mattress and moved to Radevel's bedroom door. Dirty blonde locks were tousled only from the pillow; amazingly nothing more. Pushing it open, Talis began to make his way down the stairs to the prostitute's quarters.

He held himself and shivered. "W-Where is she?" he studdered. "L-Lady B."
Rikuo sighed as he left the documents room and collapsed on the chair. Since that night in her office, where she asked if he could do some searching and gather information on the Lurker's Lair, he had been working non-stop with very little sleep, while still trying to keep up with his collage studies. He closed his eyes for a moment when he heard a bunch of ruckus coming from the entrance hall. Slowly, he stood up and walked out and looked over the railing, peering over the two boys aiding the stranger. "Is he ok?" Rikuo shouted.

Radevel had been downstairs for the past couple hours. With his shower over and two scalding cups of black coffee down his throat, the man didn't look quite look all that satisfied. Or more so, happy in the least. One fist clenched the counter until his knuckles were as white as his hair. The supressed sneer twisted his features into a tight-lipped scowl. If anything, Radevel looked pissed.
But it was past time he just sat there letting the said anger boil over. It was time to release some steam. The distinct sound of breaking glass sounded as he none-too-gently tossed his coffee cup in the sink, the handle snapping off with contact. And here he thought he might wake up to a peaceful(or at least in terms of Radevel), perhaps uneventful day for a change. Not quite. Without even thinking, his quick pace directed him to Talis's quarters, figuring he had to be up and out of his room by now. He didn't bother to knock, instead just throwing the door open.
"Answer me something, Talis," he said, voice hauntingly calm, yet within it something unpleasant stirred. "Do you wish to ruin me and everything within my grasp? Was that your beginning intentions from the day you arrived here two years ago?"

The boy had been in his room for only a short period of time. The sound of running shower water could be heard coming from a gradually steaming bathroom and Talis had discarded his baggy sweater on the ground. The boy's head was down and he was in the process of untying the drawstring of his sweatpants when his door burst open.
Had the prostitute not been so shocked at the unannounced arrival of the one man who, on extreme rare occasion, visited his quarters, he might have been able to formulate a better sentence than the one he eventually came up with. "Radevel!" he exclaimed in awe. But when his lover's voice creeped over his slender frame, Talis was immediately concerned something... was off. The night before... Radevel had held him so carefully. Nothing had even passed hidden between the sheets. And now, the first time Talis saw him the next morning, Radevel seemed almost angry. "I--" he breathed out, ".. What- Wait a minute... please, Rad--" Talis dropped his attempt at the drawstring, though his loosened pants settled dangerously low on his hips. "I-- n-no! Of course I wouldn't mean to---" The teen was truly oblivious to the cause of the abrupt questioning.

Hikari nodded thanks and then ignoreed the rest he got himself a cup and took out different ingrediants out which included milk, ice cream, whipped cream, strawberries, and a straw. He blended them together and made a milkshake. "Y'all want some?" He asked feeling more non nervous about his voice or the others.

"Don't play f***ing stupid with me, Talis!" Radevel snapped, stalking forward to loom threateningly over the boy. He didn't waste time for his arm to reach back and backhand Talis none too gently. "I know you may not care much for this business yourself, but I can not have you gallavanting around destroying everything in your path like the spoiled brat that you are. You must have had something to do with this whole Shinto business. You were one of the only ones who knew he was here. Knowledge that wasn't even supposed to be yours, yet you manage to always ram your nose into everyone's business." By now the larger man's eyes were starting to gleam with a leaking fury.
"So how did you go about doing it, Talis?" he continued. "Sneak out of my room last night? Or worse yet, have another one of those little whores do the work while you acted to distract me?"

"Not a clue," Slaine said hurriedly, filling the glass with the water. In the speeded process of pulling it away and turning off the running water, he accidently sloshed a small amount onto himself. That didn't seem to slow him any, however. When hearing the new order, the waiter felt a small rush of panic. So many things at once! His head was spinning. "But obviously someone's in trouble."
'Focus. Focus, Slaine!' he prompted himself. 'Everything's fine.' He was faced with two of the things he hated: Demanded rushing and sick people.
His quickened pace took him into the room where he had heard Adrian's calls, but what he saw was the last thing he expected. His mouth dropped slightly agape and his eyes widened in disbelief. He didn't know if he should be feeling a torrent of relief or if he should be all the more worried.

Talis was immediately silenced. He was caught horribly between the possibility that Radevel was truly angry with him and the idea that perhaps... this was some game. That perhaps Radevel was just acting angry for the sake of good show and might break into that low chuckle and smirk at Talis's gullibility any moment now. However, Talis's initial hope of a tease was quickly diminishing from the moment the man's hand connected hard with his cheek. A resounding smack. Talis's face turned with the blow and a mark already began to form on his cheek. When his eyes found Radevel's intimidating countenance again, the man was already plowing through his next accusation. "Radevel, what are you t-- Wait-- I--"
The man's critical words overwhelmed Talis and soon he found himself struggling to even formulate a defense. Shinto? What the heck had happened? Why was he being blamed! Talis bit his lip and shook his head, trying to take a few steps backward from his looming lover. None of this was making ANY sense at all. He wanted to defend himself...
... that is up until Radevel's final inquiry washed over him, shocking his frame. Light caramel eyes grew wide and an almost hurt furrow troubled his brow. Distract him? ... Radevel accused him of distracting him.
I love you.
Those three words. Three words that he had desperately clung to. Three words that he had only found the courage the night before to utter.
Talis cast his eyes away from the man, torn between anger, hurt, and resentment. How he longed that Radevel actually took his words to heart! And now they were being trampled on and labeled a lie. His tears a lie. His feelings used only for the purpose of a distraction and thus implied... to be nothing more than that.
And for all the emotional distress that troubled his mind, Talis had his own anger taking over on the outside. He crossed his arms defiantly and set a hard look on his face. Well, hard, in his opinion.
"Get out of my room, Radevel." It was an order. An order of dismissal.
