"Netsubo-mei-mei!" Kristal exclaimed in pleasure, smiling at the grumbling girl who had just come back in. "As long as there's no school, please, help yourself to the breakfast! I know you didn't take any before you bolted out the door."

Although Hao and Ren were uninterested in the fight brewing nearby, Kristal had enough fighting for one lifetime. Fighting to live, fighting to stay fed, fighting to keep everything in order when one lived in a disorderly upside-down world; it was far too much for her to take. Surprisingly, she slammed her right hand down on the breakfast table, causing all of the dishes to clatter, and glared menacingly at Fang and Netsubo. "No fighting at mealtimes, please; if you would like to brawl, take it somewhere outside, where I will not see how pointless your scuffle is."

Raising an eyebrow at her unusual behavior, Ren crossed his arms and leaned far back into his seat. He was not finished with his breakfast quite yet, having drunk only two and a half glasses of milk so far, but he may have to be done soon if this turned violent. "...Kristal, what do you think you are doing? Those two are not going to get into an actual physical fight; shocking as it may seem, there are families in the world who express love for one another by friendly bickering and not by harming one another."

Immediately, the purple-haired girl's rage cooled down. Ashamed, she lowered her head and stood up to bow at Netsubo and Fang. "...I'm so very sorry, you two. I...I thought you two were just going to pointlessly fight...I'm very, very sorry..."

"Don't over apologize, Kristal..." A yawn came from the nearby steps, showing that HoroHoro had finally woken up and decided to come down for the cooked food. "It's still early in the morning...Now where's the breakfast...?"

"Oh?! There's going to be more people coming?!"

Kristal looked excited. She was not used to knowing so many people and having them in the same place all at once. HoroHoro laughed lightly as he trudged over and pulled up a seat, flopping down and digging into what was left of most of the breakfast. Hao grimaced.

"Ladies and gents, keep your arms and legs out of the way of Horo's mouth."

"Almost. But it is pretty bad."

Horo tried to retort to Hao's grimace, but the food in his mouth incapacitated any further speech from him. His attempts drew forth a few disgusted looks from those gathered, however.

Laughing, Kristal turned to Netsubo and smiled. She could see what was on the other's mind; reading faces was just an easy thing to do for her. "Do you wanna go out for a bit, Netsubo Mei-mei? We could walk around until lunch time!"

"All right then! Let's go!"

Kristal stood up abruptly and grabbed Netsubo's hand, saving the two from further conversation between Horo, who's mouth was full, Ren, who was dangerously close to beating the snot out of the Ainu, Hao, who was also close to harming the loud-mouthed boy, and Fang, who was laughing too hard at the three's interactions.

Kristal much enjoyed the silence, but she also enjoyed that rowdy air the men kept about them. In truth, she would always be a tomboy at heart.

Once outside and away from the others comfortably enough, the purple-haired girl decided to test the waters as carefully as she could. "So...Netsubo Mei-mei, what's been on your mind? You look very troubled..."

"Oh? What happened?"

Apparently, though she was the one to instigate it, Kristal had no clue what Netsubo was talking about. She had a horrible memory, sure, but this was a little bit of a stretch, even for her.

Then again, so many things had happened that night that she may have been confused over which topic her friend was referring to.

A frigid silence comes about them, to eerie to be called normal. Their breath's a shower of steam , the moister itself as itself turning to ice as it leaves their now blue lips. A man walks slowly past, each step turning the concrete to ice. He walks past them for a few steps before turning to them. Blue eyes are the only thing seen on his face, everything else, seems non existent.
