"Isn't anything going to happen?" Faust asked. He seemed to be getting extremely tired.
"Yeah... but this one will be slower. Gentler. Death is like that. We'll wake up, maybe having remembered this, maybe not."

With an effort, Faust extracted himself. Once he stood on his feet, his body solidified. He looked even thinner than he had been in life, and he was wearing all black. "What is this supposed to mean?" he asked as the world started to shift gently.

"OK..." Faust said absent-mindedly. "Damn... I can't keep my eyes open..." he fell to the ground like a marionette whose strings had been cut.

As they slept, the world continued to shift. Marie dissappeared as did Lilith and Dameon. Things started to return to normal.

Faust woke up next to Netsubo. He shook his head, remembering vaguely what had happened. Sitting up slowly, he realized that his entire body was in agony... and then that, no, it was perfectly normal. His body had aged faster in this reality and taken more abuse than it had in the other one, and he wasn't used to it. But... he noticed that he was still wearing black.

Netsubo stirred and opened her eyes. She saw Faust and smiled,"You're back to normal!"She sat up.

Mephistophiles bolted upright. "I didn't do it! Wha? Oh! We're back!"
