Haar stopped for a moment, picking up his hands with a most surprised expression. He hadn't expected an apology from the teen, although it was very nice to hear one. You didn't hear them often when you were in the militia.
Resting his ahands along the other's upper back, the red-eyed commander almost smiled, "Just don't let it happen again."

"...I'll... try not to..." he mumbled slowly. He couldn't promise that he wouldn't - after all there were some situations where lying was unavoidable. But he would try, which was saying something because he rarely made an effort to do anything for anyone.

"Good," the young man murmured gently, brushing a hand one last time through the teen's hair before he attempted to stand up. After all that sitting, his...side was starting to hurt, but he figured, nonetheless, nothing would happen if he tried to hobble back to Alti's room.
Struggling to keep an upright position, Haar placed hands on his waist, looking down for moment before continuing, "Mm, I think I should at least try to contact the castle so mass chaos doesn't occur, although I doubt anyone's even realized we're missing," he murmured in an almost dramatic voice. "Would you like me to ask some sort of subject to come get you later? I just don't want you falling asleep in there and drowning on me," he explained with a faint grin, brush damp brown hair from his face.

"Sure..." Alti mumbled, his eyes glancing back up to focus on Haar. He felt slightly... he didn't know what he felt. Annoyed? Maybe. But it was rather hard to feel anything other than dizzy at the time.... But that wasn't the point. THe point was that Haar was leaving - meaning Alti would be alone, for a little while at least - and Alti felt... annoyed, rather than his usual happy - well, not neccessarily happy... for some reason the words 'Alti,' 'felt' and 'happy' didn't seem to fit too well together - reaction to being left alone.

Brown eyes flickered from right to left, watching the door and Peyton's breathing, the slow rise and fall of his chest on the makeshift bed Cain had found in the medic wing. It had already been about ten minutes and Shannon hadn't returned with Ceris or a cleric... Running a nervous hand through brown hair, the knight leaned forward gently, brushing light blonde hair from the young teen's face, "Peyton. I'm... I'm going to go get your General, okay? I'll be back as soon as I can," he murmured softly, heading off in search of the charasmatic head of the ranger squad.
Knocking on the appropriate door, Cain bit his lower lip as he waited. The door quickly swung open, a tall, young man on the other side, eyeing the knight suspiciously. Scratching at sandy blonde hair, the grey eyed general cocked his head to one side, leaning against the door's frame. "And who might you be?"
"I- Cain-" What had Dee written down as his last name in his records? "I...Peyton is dying, I swear to you, Sir. I can't find Ceris and he asked for you since the Commander isn't here," he sputtered, watching with hidden satisfaction as grey eyes widened considerabley. "Where is he?"
-----
"S-sir." The blonde attempted to salute his officer, but was stopped halfway through by the young general.
"Idiot. What the hell happened to you?" Cyrus asked, not quite as agitated as he was worried.
"Mm'not sure," the boy mumbled, squinting as the twenty-something year old mumbled under his breath, resting a hand on his shoulder. "I'll try and get in contact with Ceris or Haar. You'll be okay, kid, well as long as I'm here of course!"
[[I haven't really talked about the other generals at all. Cyrus is my favorite one though. 8D He's sort of a rebel, a pain in Haar's side for the most part, but I love him. X3]]
-----
Haar smiled, "I'll just tell your mom to send someone," he explained at the egde of the doorway, his voice echoing through the bath room. Picking up all the belongings he'd rushed to bring with him, the young red-eyed man picked up a stray dagger. He wondered how that had...gotten loose. Scratching at dark hair, Haar eyed the small bit of metal for a few moments before slipping it back into it's proper place.
Shrugging to himself, the young man slipped out of the steaming room, dressing quickly in the clothes Allora had given him with a frown. These clothes had no...places to put his weapons. It made him feel oddly vulnerable. Grimacing gently, the commander finished up buttoning the scarlet shirt, slipping a dagger in the back of the boots rather than any of the pockets.
Now to make the long trek back to Alti's room...

Allora was, as usual, out in the gardens. It wasn't some sort of girlish obsession she had. It wasn't the flowers, or the fragrence, or the cool breeze... it was the cards. She was currently in a rather heated game - if "heated" was the right word when the woman were usually sitting back lazilly and fanning themselves in their ornate dresses - of poker, which she was winning, as per usual. Either she had a really good poker face, or she was just plain lucky. Or she was cheating, which was quite possible. THe other ladies were all other members of the royal line and had their own servents waiting.
One of these moved up to whisper something in Allora's ear. She looked up and said, "Please do escort him, then, since he is out. A meal would likely be good. And get someone to drag Alti out in a couple minutes so he doesn't drown entirely." Away from her son and in a more sedated area with older and distinguished women, Allora at least tried a little bit to not appear too hyper.
((Either that or she's just not inspiring me like she usually does. T^T Also, sorry for the... lightness (of color). I couldn't find a more suiting color for her.... Unless there's some sort of master list of all the colors one can use on Gaia. xD;;;; ))

[[Curse those all-knowing servants!]]
Haar had surprisingly found his way back to Alti's room without too much trouble, or side-splitting pain (it was always nice if one could do withouth that every once in a while). Allora was missing, but that didn't stop him from busying himself about the femininely-colored room. Setting the rest of his, rather bloodied, clothes as well as his assortment of weapons at the edge of the teen's bed, the young commander ran a hand through his hair several times in an attempt to dry it as quickly as possible.
In a few minutes, a rather wide-eyed servant came through the opened door, murmuring something about dinner and ladies and...something else that Haar couldn't quite understand. Well, if he was going to be having some sort of dinner with Alti's mother and...possibly others, he'd have to look less like the raggamuffin he was and more like the dashing commander he should be! Picking up a stray brush, the red-eyed twenty-year old swpt it through his hair several times before nodding at the servant. He hadn't used one of things in a long while... [[a brush. what a loser]]
"Eh, so what are we having?" He asked the young servant in a relatively calm voice, fingers tapping nervously against his waist. Where was his sword when he needed it? He didn't know why, but the blade calmed him down to a degree, and he could've used it right then... Unfortunately the servant squeaked something that, again, Haar missed and he only ended up smiling weakly. Hopefully it'd be good.

((Haha. I feel stupid now. xD;;;; ))
As promised, a servent was eventually sent to fetch Alti, who was currently withering away to a wrinkled prune in the hot steamy waters. He looked up, still quite groggy, as two pairs of hands hoisted his small frame up out of the water. Cool, nameless hands were applied to his forehead and soon a soothing, smoothe sensation slid down from his forehead, down his spine and to the rest of his body. He felt... at least slightly more clear. Better.
He was assisted out to a side chamber, dried (they seemed to think he was incapable of even that, which, at that time, he probably was) and then clothed as his blow-dried (wind magic is a wonderous thing) hair was combed. Something must be up if they were going to this length to ensure that he looked descent.
And then he was set to wait in a sitting room that was joined onto the master dining room. He slumpt back in his chair and closed his bright eyes, one pale hand raising to rub at his forehead.

[[It's okay. n_n]]
Haar loosened the collar of the shirt slightly, growing more ancious by the second. "So-" Gulp. "What...who exactly is g-going...to be...there?" He asked in an incredibly hesitant tone, red eyes flickering every which way as the servant led him down the hallway and towards the main dining room. "You know, I'm...rather...uncomfortable with...this...with this. I don't really know how to talk to women, so- I....they are a perculiar sort, and..."
The grey eyed servant stared up at the babbling man with a sheepish frown. "Mm, sir, we're here."
Haar shut his mouth quickly, wincing as he opened the door to the large room, glancing around with an expression on his face that usually didn't let others see. He was...scared. Nervous, and scared at the same time- and... Running a hand through dark brown hair, Haar noticed Alti with a relieved sigh, walking off briskly to sit next to him. "So...so...what's going on exactly?" He asked, fingernails biting into his palms as he sat down.
[[...wow. o___o;; Haar needs to take a CHILL PILL. For serious.]]

Alti glanced up at the sound of the other's voice, his bright golden-orange gaze meeting the other's for a moment before they closed again. "Nnnn... dunno. Probably a dinner party... or something...." His eyes brushed open again and surveyed the other, noting the clothing... and Haar's clenched hand. "Just... relax. You probably won't have to say anything... One of Mum's important friends should be here... or we wouldn't be eating in the big room," he said slowly, jerking his thumb over towards the currently closed doors that would open into the dining room.
He glanced back over at Haar for a moment before his eyes settled on the floor. A normal person probably would have said something along the lines of "you look nice" or something cliche like that, but Alti mearly murmured, "...You're wearing Dad's old clothes. Hope that doesn't creep you out."
((xD;;; Alti is so unromantic. By the way, he is refurring to Allora's husband... who may or may not be his true father. ninja *has surprises (real surprises) in store*))

[[They can be unromantic together. >_> Stupid Haar.]]
Haar stared at Alti with an almost queasy expression. "Is that...r-right? Oh well, that's...sort of..." Breathing hard, the young man closed his eyes for a moment or so before he turned back to Alti, his gaze lowered. "You, apparently weren't awake enough to realize what I told you earlier and I have a feeling that what I said to your mother will come up sometime during tonight's conversations. I don't want to have to lie in front of a hoard of people," he hissed, growing more worried as he spoke.
Oh god, why...he just...hope Allora wouldn't say anything about...about them-- because, well, they're weren't exactly...together.
[[Oh how I love when he freaks out.]]

Alti frowned. "I thought you knew her better than that by now... Of course she'll say something. She probably arleady has. She's more gossipy than ten teenage girls..." he muttured softly under his breath. He didn't look overly concerned, however. He was too used to his mother's actions to take too much notice any more. In fact, he seemed nothing more than bored.
He looked back up at Haar and murmured, "If you just ignore her and stop caring... then everything is easier, you know. She's nothing more than noise when it comes down to it.... And it's not like she thinks we're engaged or anything... right?"

Haar turned his head away from Alti, eyes focused on the empty seats at the other side of the table. "I can't say I know what she assumed," he murmured in a hesitant tone, hands folded in front of him. "I know she thinks we're...'together,' but other than that I really can't say what she thought. She did seem rather excited though, but I'm sure she gets overly enthusiatic about many things so maybe that's not...not something I should be concerned about," he added in a purely diplomatice voice. It was easier to...not think about what was really going on when you have to change your voice and make yourself sound smarter than you really were.
Turning his head back towards the teen, Haar almost laughed, "I hope she doesn't think we're engaged for her sake more than ours'. I don't think she'd be very happy to hear that we weren't."

Alti shrugged. "Dunno... might be amusing to see her expression - as long as I'm far enough away that she won't tag me," he joked, a small grin on his lips. He leaned back in his seat and ran a hand through his neatly combed hair - he hated when it was all prim like that... he'd rather just have it mussed or messy, even if it didn't really suit him.
"ANyway... somehow... we'll slug through this. I suppose. If something goes wrong, I can just run away during the midwinter festival and maye she'll think we eloped or something," he murmured, grinning slightly.

"And if her gossip spreads as much as I assume it does, I'm sure the generals would demote me, if that's even possible since I'm...above them," Haar mumbled, looking almost confused for a moment or so before continuing, "Anyway, when's this whole thing supposed to start? I need to prepare lines in my head about how I wooed you or something. You know? Have a story planned out just incase she asks," he said with a grin, the idea of making up such a story almost entertaining to him. "You got any plausible ideas?"
