Netsubo looked slightly confused but stayed quiet. They all seemed to understand this messed up time stream better than her.

"I don't know how things were before... but I can't live without Eliza," Faust sighed. He was still staring at his dead face. "I hope I don't scare her too much, when she finds us... do I look all right?"

Mephistophiles nodded. "It all depends on the inverse. You tore the fabric of time and space when that equation was solved. To fix it, mold it the way you want it... you need that inverse. Otherwise, well, you're just one more menal patient who commited suicide."

"You drank antifreeze," Mephistophiles reminded him.
"I know... but my body..."
"... has been cold and dead for over a day. It won't support a soul, not after what you've put into it. Same goes for you, Netsubo." Mephistophiles turned away.
"But... I just need to write..." Faust said.
"Then come to hell. Spirits can write there. Many are sentenced to an eternity of it."

Faust looked troubled. "I could. But.... it would feel wrong, using her body like that..."
"Spare her the pain of knowing that you took your own life and allowed another to do the same," Mephistphiles suggested.
