The pokemon froze, looking surprised. The Emolga regretted her actions? Had it been an accident? Even so, she would be forced to fight. The Roselia wasn't aiming to kill, just the thought of her cousin had her distraught. ">I am afraid I have no choice. I bear no ill-will towards you because of this. Let us begin!<" the Roselia finally declared taking up a defensive stance by twirling around.

As Alex and Raiden would continue onward, they would stumble across a tree. How odd. Weren't they in a volcanic area? Where would there be space to grow trees? The Shieldon had accidentally knocked out another of his admirers. Oh no! He was down to one! The pokemon watched as the Baltoy tried hiding behind a rock. ">It's okay, don't be shy! Don't hide, admire me~ Shower me with love!<" the pokemon cried trying to jump over the rock and hit the remaining Baltoy with Tackle~ Li Shieldon [M] Lv 4 Nature: Quirky Stats: HP:9/17/PP:19/ATK:9/DEF:15/SPD:8/SP-ATK:9/SP-DEF:13 MOVES: - Tackle - Protect - Captivate EXP: 109/125
That had been easy enough. This forest was great actually. Pokémon attacking him and Takeshi was getting stronger. On top of that, he had gained a valuable new member of his team. Improvement at it's finest! The shinobi glanced around, making sure that he was paying close attention and continue forward. His instincts were something to rely on, they had helped him so far.

The pokemon loved the thrill of the battle and had a high energy level along with a certain bloodlust. Curious, Gin watched as Takeshi deemed the pokemon worthy and so the shinobi caught her.

Alistair genuinely wished he could talk to Pokemon in this moment. He would have loved to know what kind of interaction his Emolga was having with the Roselia. Social situations were tricky, and it helped to have a partner... even though, admittedly, his awkward nature made him somewhat of a buzzkill. "All right, Lucianna. Air Slash."
She took a deep breath, focusing. Hopefully, she wouldn't kill this Grass-type. Not that Lucy minded killing, but it seemed they'd set off a chain of event she didn't appreciate getting Alistair involved in. With a swift move, she'd slash a blade of air towards the Roselia.

Too soon indeed. The young trainer should have realized even thinking that phrase was like begging for trouble. As he proceeded deeper into the volcanic region, he'd find his path blocked. Standing in the middle of a trail, steely gaze locked on Tao, was a hot blooded young Sandile with something to prove. It would have cracked it's knuckles if it had any hands, instead it would simply tilt it's head, causing the tattered black bancho cap it wore to fall over one eye, the metal trimmed brim touching his snout. It couldn't be clearer that the boy wasn't getting out of this one without a fight!

The scenery was much the same. Rocky land, hot cracks in the ground, and a great volcano in the distance. Then a lone tree confused Alex as he neared it. Before he could even try getting past it, it turned around. A Sudowoodo... "Alright, Pansear, you're up. Focus punch!">"Lemme at em!"< Pansear charged in, fists up, before stopping to lock on a more focused strike.
Tao looked at the sandile wearing the cap for a good long while. He wasn't expecting the hat. He sighed and let out Seret from his pokeball.
In a flash of light the still very young mudkip formed. Even so, the water-type seemed pretty unfazed by its opponent.
"Alright, Seret, let's see what you've got." Tao still had yet to see the new-born in combat and still had to mentally gauge it's capabilities.
">Alright...<" The Mudkip began to close the distance between itself and its opponent, determined to stomp the sandile's body into the ground. [5/10]

The Sandile's eye would gleam as the Mudkip came at him, it's jaws opening wide as it bellowed ">KRAKATOA!<" As the Pokemon's teeth came back together it's maw suddenly erupted in flame, snapping open as the Sandile shot forward. It would seem that so much time near magma rather than sand had managed to alter something about the Pokemon, and Seret was about to find out just how much as it came at him with an obvious Fire Fang!

Tao watched as the Sandile bit down on Seret. He was intrigued by the Sandile's ability to use Fire Fang. Maybe it was because they were fighting on a volcano? Well, he'd wonder about it later.
Seret felt as the ground-type bit down just before he could get out of the way. In any case, it hurt. It didn't faze him from trying another stomp however. He wasn't out of the fight yet.
