Feeling the companionship even though it was still new and still awkward, it was comforting in a strange way.

Vincent nodded towards Travis and company. "I'm looking for Sheo or Kate."
Kate's body convulsed slightly, but did not move otherwise. She was technically dead.

Alpha started walking down the street, thinking of where to look next... then chuckled as he got an idea. He mentally sent a command to one of CL's sattelites.
More data than usual began to run across Travis' eyes.
(and we all know what that means...)

once he felt the coast was clear, Jun came out from his hiding place to find Kate in a mess on the floor. "Kate!! KATE!!" he quickly rushed to her side trying to get a better grasp of what happened as his ears folded back in fear that she was a goner at this point. "Please let this work!!" he said flustered as he started CPR.

Kate trembled slightly, still a very deep blue color in skin... and then her eyes opened. They were entirely coal black - no iris, no white of the eyes.
"Damn that creature," she said, her voice sounding quite odd, as if she were a snake-like creature and having trouble making any sounds that weren't hissing.
She was immediately up - pushing Jun back quite a few steps quite quickly - and was running. Then she jumped out of the window, forty stories above the ground. When she landed, there was just a big hole... Kate-sized. Then Kate-creature climbed out of the hole, hissing at Alpha.
