I told my mom about this, and she had a couple things to say.
One: By then I will be a legal adult and can do as I please.
Two: Statistically, only 1 or 2 of you will be rapists, so I should be fine! xd

I wonder where this whole thing about people on line being rapists came from.
Regardless, I can provide contact information for the conference grounds, this isn't going to happen at a private residence. sweatdrop
Also, I think we are getting Lord Vermillion to come.
I'm currently trying to come up with a reliable (and secure) location to store the No Mod Left Behind fund.
I have this odd feeling that if I said I would just handle it, it may provoke (warranted, but unnecissary) suspicion.

Alright, my situation on this modlycon. whee
I'm one of the "graduates" of that year, so my preference is not to have this in June, if at all possible. Also, the University of Delaware (where I'm probably going to end up thanks to in-state tuition) starts around the 26th of Aug., so too late in the summer would be equally bad in my case. Otherwise, that summer (early July through mid Aug) sounds good.
There is also the problem of me getting all the way over there. Problem A would involve preferably getting my parents blessing (I turn 18 that June but I don't want to start off my adulthood by getting myself kicked out of the family). I'm 99.9 percent sure they won't approve of my going across the country to meet a group of people I've been hanging out with on the internet that could possibly be (insert label here). But I figure that since it is so far in advance, I could probably get them to go along with a pre-college trip if I pay for it myself and use my frequent flyer miles. It would probably be easiest if I flew directly to a major city in Cali and snapped a few pictures for good measure. But problem B- then that leaves an issue of driving since by then I probably won't have a driver's license...
Maybe I should wait for the next one. crying

I got the same graduation issues. And I'm able to drive but it is very unlikely I'll have a car of my own. Luckily, money shouldn't be an issue since I've got a stash I almost never dip into.

... So, definitely up for this. I'd like it to be in the summer, since I'll be out of school and hopefully not working unless I need to, etc etc. California is close(r) to me, so that's awesome as well. Plus, hey, if it's in that summer, I'll be 21! XD That'll be exciting.

So, how long does everyone think we can hold this for?
I had envisioned an extended weekend, something to the tune of 4-5 days.
I'll get price quotes this month, and see what we can swing... I know this will be an issue of no small consequence.

Wow. I want to go. I should be able to go. BUT there's just no way I can be sure at this point. In fact, I probably won't be sure until sometime like April or May '07.
So that makes it hard to plan, right? But I have enough money to pay for myself, so I guess it doesn't matter wether you have to make room in the budget for me or not.
