Decadent Dreams mage_86 I agree with kiling richard. Thats a fabulous idea, but i think we should glue in somebody else for the triumvirate. Most definitely can not have the beautiful Jean-claude in pain. Maybe Micah....it doesn't really matter. I don't mind Richard, it's just his way of being really petty with anita that I hate...at first I thought that after reading the previous books it was really out of his character to treat Anita the way he does...but...I suppose people in real life can be just like that...the books are written from the viewpoint of Anita..she may have seen Richard as a complete good-two-shoes who was "perfect" but he may have not been like that at all...who knows...I just wish they would stop being so petty with each other, but I guess as long as the triumvirate is there they will always be like that... I think Jean-Claude is equally as annoying sometimes but without both of them there would be no triumvirate and I really can't think of any other character taking their places... Agreed. I don't completely blame Richard for all the stuff he and Anita goes through. It takes two to tango yadda yadda. I couldn't imagine replacing anyone in their triumverate. As much as the three of them make me want to hit them at times, they're simply made for each other. And Fenris: I don't know how accurate it is (I'm in need of rereading the entire series) but that hole in aura thing sounds sooo dirty the way you explained it xd

Wow, so much hate for Micah and Richard. While Richard's constant "I hate myself and want to die" attitude is rather tiresome, I can't say that I hate the character. He's just really screwed up and needs to figure out a way to resolve his inner conflicts. Micah, I'm fairly neutral on. He just seems like a furniture fixture in Anita's house rather than a character to me.
Anita, however, I'm really starting to dislike. I was fine when she started screwing Jean Claude, but the series is just going to hell, in my opinion. Anita's overpowered and oversexed. I don't like the uberpowerful super saiyin Anita that screws almost everything around her. I liked it when she seemed like a real person with real issues rather than the author's personal representative in sex fantasies. She's a canon-Sue if ever I've seen one, and the books are just getting boring. Don't get me wrong, a bit of erotica here and there is fine, but Incubus Dreams read like a series of shaggings interspersed with a strung together plot that Hamilton forgot about until the final chapter. Personally, I hope the next book is more akin to Obsidian Butterfly.

I don't see how anyone could hate Edward. Sure, he may be a sociopath, but I think he's by far one of the better developed and more interesting characters in the series.

scream Richard... I hate him!!!
Nothing will ever change that. He's such a whinny little b*tch. I've never liked him, even in the beginning. Why does everyone hate Micah!? I like him, so easy going. their king and queen (in a way) there doesn't have to be any great romance between the two. It's kind of like... a business partner. they work together making sure everything goes smoothly. Well that's how I see it. I wish Laurell would just kill Richard off already...

I e-mailed LKH and her friend answered (telling me that LKH is a technophobe) and told me that Edward will be appearing in the next book.

Might as well get my two cents in o.o I dislike Richard too. At first, I thought he was cool and funny... then he went all whiney and stuff and it was just pretty annoying. And the whole... evilness of it all drove me insane. Bad Anita! We do not have sex with whiney werewolves *whack whack*
>.< Yeah, that's pretty much why I hate him. Almost everyone I know who reads those books who goes to my school dislikes him. Keyword: Almost.

I personally Hate Belle. I put her, I because I hate her more, because she is evil!
But I really dislike Richard. He is so mean. I started to like him kind of again in Incubus Dreams, because he finally got a taste of the ardeur, so he knew what Anita was going through. That doesn't mean that I am going to forgive him for all he has done though.

Richard gets my vote- I really hate him! At first it was like "Awww, cute, a guy with morals, finally!" but that changed....not only is he dragging Anita down with his angst, but everyone else! He's supposed to be strong for the Pack, but they all seem him brake down and it's gonna cause chaos sooner or later. Richard should die, and everything will be happy again.
I don't like Micah either, just because Anita bowed down to him so quickly. Sex on the first day? And I know she angst-ed about it, but it still seemed like she didn't really care. If her sluttiness started anywhere, it started with him. He's kind of a pointless character 'cause he just kind of stands there, doing nothing...he should die too.
I can understand poor Dolph, but I'd like my police officers to act better. ^_^ Ronnie should die painfully. Donna...yeah, her kids are cute, but she needs to get her face eaten. WTF was Edward thinking?!
I'm starting to really dislike Anita too...the morals she had in the first few books were refreshing, even if she did treat JC pretty badly (how could she not see he loved her?!). And even the first few sex scenes weren't too bad, but now it's just....yeah....
Why, oh why, Ms. H did you introduce the arduar?! It just totally screwed up the series...

I'll probably hate Micah, although I haven't gotten that far in the books yet. I skimmed through NiC or one of later ones, and thought, "WTF? Did I MISS this guy in the other books or something, 'cause Anita sure as hell didn't start screwing JEAN-CLAUDE that fast!"
I also hate Jean-Claude's dialogue. Not the actual character, it's just... he speaks English slang to much to seem French sometimes. It's sort of a hit-and-miss kinda deal.
Oh, and I LIKE Richard. Even if he is whiny. Look how individualistic I am. ...

It's never bothered me. I imagine spending so much time in the states and around those who aren't old vampires he'd learn a few new words. Not to mention the fact that he's the vampire poster boy in the eyes of the public. That should require him to get with the times. Besides, he doesn't really use outrageous slang.
