The mage nodded. "That would definitely be the best plan if you wanted to be inconspicuous about it, and there are cases where it is more effective with a sudden appearance."
Certainly with looking as helpless and fragile as he did, he had been in enough situations where his magic had taken people by surprise. Watching a would-be mugger simply bounce off a well constructed shield could certainly speak for the amusement value.

"Could also scare people with fog too." She though about it for a moment. "I mean if a fog appeared out of nowhere around someone it would probably dissoriante them for a while"

Kaleb nodded in agreement. "Intimidation value can be important for a lot of mages who want to stay out of harm's way, especially without the benefit of shielding skills."

"It would be fun to get to creep people out with it. Specally Vivace." Mostly cause he was easy to scare and it was funny since he didnt usually hold it against someone.
"Well actually he might like it .... but it would be fun"

Being one of those people who was creeped out easily, Kaleb didn't think he would find that nearly as amusing. Still, it did remind him of a particular lesson he had back in his training.
"I can imagine making fog would be a useful ability for games of tag or manhunt," He said with a grin, a simple game could be greatly complicated by mages using their skills to the best of their ability.

"It would!" she'd have to try that next time her and her siblings played a game.
"Espically if you knewyou could make the fog and you dressed in dull colors so you'd blend with it" Not that she realy had much other than black but still. She could maybe find something that was gray

Kaleb nodded enthusiastically. "You could even use it as a distraction, if they think you are hiding in it, you could hide elsewhere and lure them away from yourself." During that day of makeshift survival training, Kaleb couldn't count the times he had resorted to distractions and deceptions, since he couldn't rely on his physical stamina to actually outrun anyone.

She nodded. "Yea. Could make a fog in one place then just hide somewhere else. It'd be funny to watch people search where they think you are"
That would be a good way to get out of things. Distractions were a wonder when you needed one

"It makes me wish I had people to play tag with," Kaleb said with a grin. "It also makes me want to learn more water magic, it sounds like a lot of fun."

"I bet Demyx would play tag." Since he'd played with the 'kids' before he would probably still play with others.
"Though he could cheat and hide in a pool if he wanted and it'd be hard to tag someone who was at the bottom of a pool"

"It would be hard to tag him there, unless you find a way to remove the water faster than he could put it back." Kaleb said in an offhand tone, he really didn't think he could best Demyx in that area.

Kaleb grinned. "If he hid in the deep end, you'd have to find a pretty big stick." He played with his tail a bit as he thought about it. "Do you think he can breathe under water?"

"Yea .... but usually pool's have some sort of thing laying around that can reach the bottom." She nodded slightly.
"I dont know .... maybe its just that the water wont let him drown or something"

"That's an interesting idea, I wouldn't have thought of that." Kaleb blinked, wondering if magic could make it possible for water to take such a liking to someone. "We should ask him about it sometime, so we don't have to speculate about it."
