It's from a very old edition of a New Yorker. I found it online somehow, don't remember how, and saved it to my REALLY COOL PICTURES folder. whee I'm not sure who the artist is, or if it was the cover or a picture somewhere in the magazine, but yeah, it is pretty awesome.

Yeah, it's so hard to find amazing pictures of mermaids... There was this neat one of a lionfish mermaid I saw a long time ago, but I didn't save it at the time.
