Cecilia laid back against his chest once more to hear his heart speak to her. It made her eyes flutter sleepily, she was so comfortable just laying there with him, even if it was just a sofa. She shook her head sleepily at his question "I'm just starting to get a little tired too" Cecilia looked up at him, placing her chin on his chest so she could look into his eyes deeply. "how about we cuddle up in our new bed?... your probably too tired for a 'wedding night'" a rose blush painted her tanned skin.

After sitting back up, she gave a kiss to his cheek and walked off into the bedroom, wondering if he would join her.

Cecilia was wearing one of her Viera styled nightdresses again, but didn't feel the need to wear any underwear underneath it this time. Why should she? they were married after all, no need to be embarrassed if he ever caught sight of anything. He was going to see eventually anyway..
A smile grew across her lips as she heard him talk about the baby or babies. The nickname he gave was actually really cute, so right then an there she decided that was their name until they were born. "I think we should call them muffin" she smiled "it's a cute little nickname until we give them a real name I think" it sounded a lot better to her then 'baby' or 'fetus', muffin was much more personal and special in a way. After giving him a soft kiss, she pressed her body right up next to him, his warmth and the new bed was so comfortable that she fell asleep in a few minutes.

The next morning Cecilia woke up a little later then usual. It was probably because the day before was so busy and it took out her energy a little. She didn't like that fact that being pregnant was draining her, but it was a sacrifice she was willing to make for her child. Today she was going to get her first look at them, how many were there, how far along she actually was, maybe see some signs of their viera genetics, but that might of been too early to see those things. She also wondered if Basil would want to be the in room with her during the scan..

"yeah.. I just woke up" she called back, rubbing at her eyes because the sun was so bright that the curtains were useless that time of day. That was the first thing she wanted to do with their future home, thicker curtains. After fixing her waist long hair and putting on her usual style of clothing, she walked out the bedroom looking presentable. Cecilia didn't really have any casual baggy clothing, it just wasn't a thing she thought of doing but Basil's clothes did look comfortable.

"morning..." she yawned, not having a clue what time it was and sorta forgetting what they planned to do that day. Waking up procedure made her mind a little blank at that point, she could've fallen back to sleep so easily but that wasn't an option. "how did you sleep?" she asked before sitting on a stool in the kitchen, watching what he was making.

She was rather glad he slept comfortably next to her, in a way she was worried he would find it weird them sleeping like that. While he was talking she noticed the pot of meatballs cooking away. Meatballs for breakfast? That seemed strange.. what the heck was the time anyway? Cecilia was going to ask him till he was telling her what a bunny would do in her sleep. Her cheeks went bright pink, did she really lick him like a cream cake? "oh! I'm really sorry! I had no idea I did that" her words stumbled around in her embarrassment, that must of been a weird night for him. But he seemed quite chirpy about it, saying it was cute and adorable.
"Muffins? Oh yes! Umm.. well I don't feel sick at all this morning, so I think they are behaving today." she told him, giving a kiss back to his own lips. This seriously was all a dream still, a respected warrior that was pregnant, married and about to settle down properly in a matter of three to four months of her life. It didn't seemed possible, somehow it was.

Basil was so courteous towards her, very polite and proving her point when she said he treated her like a lady and not a drink buddy. Cecilia was sad about his disappointment about not having a bed like that again. She remembered something though, all the money she put away in a back from all her duties. The viera never spent a penny, there was no need because she was always on the road even this city gave her everything on a plate. Cecilia wouldn't tell him just yet about her money, how much she had was even a mystery to her. It would be a little surprise to him if he woke up one day to be sleeping in a bed even better then the one they currently had.

It was 1pm? Cecilia couldn't believe how long she slept! It really was not like her, why didn't he just wake her up too? Either way that was in the past, she was awake now. An alarm clock was another thing to be added to the list in her brain. So far she had curtains, amazing bed and now a clock.

"You made garlic bread too?! You spoil me.. you really do.. well I should say you spoil the muffins too" she smiled, giving a peck on the cheek while he gave her tummy a rub. It was a shame he or she couldn't feel anything as of yet, but once she could Basil's hand would be dragged to that area instantly, just incase he would want to feel them dance around. "Oh... I need to ask you something.. I forgot to ask... would you like to be in the room with me today?.. you don't have to if you don't want to. I won't make you or anything."

She gave a smile back and nuzzled his chest playfully. He wanted to be there for the scan which made her happy, the main reason she didn't go in the first place was because she was afraid of being alone and finding out something was wrong. But Basil seemed very eager to go, this pleased her so much. She could've kissed him! Dinner was ready though, so he moved out of her reach, oh well. She would get him next time.

The meal was delicious, wasn't even bothered about having non-alcoholic wine. She didn't like wine that much, rosé was nice but the rest tasted like a sweaty sock to her. This Viera loved cider, the apples were yummy in it. Maybe she would go off the booze, it would probably be atleast a year till she got to have anything again. So that was possible, grape juice would have to do for now. It tasted much better then wine anyway and happily drank two glasses in big gulps. While she slurped up the spaghetti, some would flick on her nose leaving a small patch of sauce. Not that she noticed, Cecilia just carried on eating till she felt like she would explode. Her plate had one quarter left, big meals like this was something she wasn't used to so sometimes it was a struggle for her. "I'm stuffed!!!" She exclaimed, still not realising the sauce left on her bunny nose. "That was a lovely meal Basil.. thank you very much"

For a moment she wondered why he wiped her nose like that, till it hit her. "Gosh I'm messy with my food, thank you for that. I think the muffins like it very much, if they didn't they craaaazy." Her tail gave a quick wiggle once she was told she was beautiful, how sweet of him to say that!

She shook her head at his suggestion of sitting all snuggled while their food went down. "no no, I was told the best time to have a scan is with a full tummy and bladder. I think it's to push the womb closer to the surface or something... one of the women told me about it" Cecilia took his hand gently, "you can touch my ears while we are in the waiting room if you'd like. I know you like the feel of them, don't deny it" she teased.

After giving a peck to the cheek, she started to put on her painful looking shoes.

Cecilia really didn't like walking in there. All the bright eyed women all chatting away at each other, she hoped everyone would just ignore her. That turned out to be a no. Of course people would notice her, most people had never even seen a Viera before, let alone a pregnant one.
Some would stare at her tail and giggle in delight, others would look at her ears, wondering what it looked like where her human ears should be. Did she have a second set? or is it just a bare patch? It was hard to see with all her sliver locks.

She was asked to sign more paperwork. "Why the hell would I need paperwork for a baby?" she thought to herself, "I thought it was as simple as sleeping with a man, wiat nine months then have the child..". Basil's magic fingers kept her calm in the waiting room, she felt really on edge with all the eyes just staring at her like that. All she wanted to do was check on the muffin and be off.

Finally her name was called! Much to her relief. Taking Basil's hand tight she walked into the dim lighted room, the doctor had soft calming music playing. Why was she doing that? Probably to create a nice atmosphere or something for the mothers. Either way she laid down on the medical bed, pulling up the thin piece of fabric that hung from her outfit as instructed. The doctor gave her small tummy a rub, and even commented about her being massive one day. Great, just what she needed, a stranger touching her bump. in a intimate way. Cecilia only allowed Basil to do that, everyone else would get their fingers snapped. Keeping her cool she just put on a fake grin to get this over and done with "Yes we are really excited, we have both wanted to see what's inside here for a while."

Once the machine was turned on and rolled round her tummy, the sound of the heartbeat hit her ears, instantly making them stand on end. It didn't sound like a normal adult heart, this little one had a very strong and fast pulse indeed. Cecilia was a little scared to even look, squeezing at Basil's hand.
"hmmm let's see here..." the doctor ponder, moving the device over the gelled area. "congratulations, you have one healthy baby" she announced to them both. This made the Viera look straight to the fuzzy image, there was the faint outline of them and the quick motions of their heart thumping in their chest. "I'd say your around about sixteen weeks so your in your second trimester already"
Cecilia didn't even know what to say, she just looked at Basil with a big smile. So relieved that everything was okay in there.
