TableTopWatch Pretty...
The word instantly conjured up a wistful smile from the lean, feathered teen, amber eyes softening gently. He had never known what the word meant, but his owner had used it quite often to describe him to his many guests...he had always thought it had meant something nice.
Name...name...
His owner had always called him..."Haro," he murmured, following Shin's gaze, which kept flickering from the street back to his general area.
Peeking his head out towards the street while tugging down his shirt, the teen frowned, "Is...is s-some...some th-thing over...in-" He was having a very hard time getting out what he wanted. He knew something just wasn't correct about his speech.
"Over...Sh-shin?" Pointing towards the street, he turned back towards the pale, tall human who smelled like cats and ice. He muttered the dark haired teen's name a few more times to get the feel for it in his mouth.

Fidgeting with excitement, golden flecked eyes fluttered from the ground back to Shin, wings rustling against his coat of sorts.
"Uhm..."
Smile faultering, the teen stared at the ground with a confused expression. Why, he was going to live with his owner, of course. He was going to find his owner and...live with him...that was all he'd known, why change?
"I'm...I'm going to l-live with my person...?" Person, person, frustrated with the word, he knew it wasn't right...Haro mumbled to himself before trying to explain, "O-owner." He nodded gently, glad that he had thought of the word.
"Who is your owner?" He asked while looking back up with a returning smile.

((Awww. He's so cute. ^ ^ <333 I'm gonna doodle my chara quickly on Photo Shop (once I find the tablet). =o Just a warning... I'm not very good on compy drawing... Dx))
He blinked. So that was the case. "I don't have an owner... I live alone. Anyway, do you know where your owner is?" he asked curiously. If he hadn't just escaped from his owner, which didn't seem like the case, then he'd probably been sold, either to someone else or to a pet store.

Haro looked at the teen with slight disbelief.
"Who gives you food th-then?" He asked with a frown, eyeing the other with a hint of sympathy.
Upon hearing the question about his previous owner, the golden eyed teen started to chatter away, breath coming out in misty puffs. "Well, I lived with my owner for...for...a long time and then he said he was moving and took me to a place with other animals and this man who smelled really bad," he gave the other a look os slight distaste as he told his life up until then, continuing only after he took a long breath, " but I was tired of waiting for him to pick me back up so I decided to find him. I didn't really like the store anyway, and my owner was nice and gave me lots of grapes and stuff, so...yeah," he chirped idley with a bright grin, hopping on one foot before alternating to his other.
Unfortunately, Haro didn't understand the term 'moving'.

"I give myself food... I have a job that pays me and I get food with that." He stared at the other for a moment, a sympathetic look on his face. "When he said 'moving,' he meant he was going away. It means he won't be living where you remember that he was."

"You are human then," Haro murmured, he could've sworn he was a cat or at least had a cat...maybe somewhere along the way he had injured his sense of smell. "Or are you a...a bear?" He asked, he'd heard bears were nice, and that would make sense because he also heard that bears were related to cats so maybe that's why Shin smelled like a cat! But he was not a cat at all, he was really a bear.
"I've never seen a bear!" He said with a half-smile, plucking at down feathers nervously.

"I'm not a bear," he said, supressing a smile. He was quite odd, Shin had to admit. "I'm..." He sighed. "Don't freak out, okay?" He closed his eyes and quickly turned into a white tiger, bright blue eyes staring up at the other. He turned back into his human form, not feeling comfortable as a tiger. It had been a while since he had done that.. "I just... look after myself. I'm mostly in my human form, but I'm not human..."

He still wasn't sure what he was...
but he could certainly cross a cat and a bear off his list.
He was much too big to be a cat!
Tiliting his head to one side, still confused as to what Shin was... He also didn't understand how he could just look after himself. The thought reminded him about his previous owner. He had moved...not like he had known where he lived to begin anyway...
"Do you know a-anyone that would want a bird?" He asked with a frown, he would just have to find a new owner.

"You could stay with me if you don't mind my being a tiger. After all, I think it would be best if no one found out about how certain people aren't quite people..." If people found out, there would be trouble. And Haro seemed like the naive type that would let things slip.

Oh well.
Wings twitching uncomfortabley under his shirt, Haro's eyes swept across the pavement as he thought.
He didn't really have anywhere to go at the moment, besides Shin seemed like a nice enough person. Looking up with a smile, the lovebird nodded, "I guess that's okay," he murmured, pushing yellow strands behind one ear.
Taking a few hesitant steps towards the street, sneakers squeaking lovingly against the wet concrete, Haro glanced back with a curious expression.
"Do you... house- live close to h-here?"

"Pretty close, yes... A few minutes' walk... Could you hide your wings and feathers? Someone might notice... Just follow me and I'll take you there." He took the other's rist in his hand again and tugged him lightly with him.
After a few minutes of walking, they came to a street that looked nice enough with neat little houses in rows. They stopped at the end of the block in front of a house that looked smaller than the others, but not by too much. "Home sweat home," he said as he opened the door to step inside.

His wings were mostly hidden beneath his sweatshirt, but just to be safe he willed them away, wincing in slight discomfort during the process as he vanished from all sight.
Strung along by the wrist, Haro glanced every which way as they walked, watching everyone they passed until the city scape slowly vanished from view, houses taking it's place.
"It's..." He couldn't quite think of the word he wanted and merely murmured, "...pretty."
Once inside the quiet little house, Haro blinked rapidly, "You said...you d-didn't live with people?"

"I live by myself, yes..." He smiled. "well, except when Mum drops by... But she can't do that very often because she's in the hospital." He closed the door behind the other and turned to flick on the light switch. The house was small, but not cramped. The lower half of the walls and ceiling were painted a pleasant sort of poppy red with a wall paper of flowers on top part. "So, are you hungry?" he asked. "When was the last time you ate?"

Stuffing hands into his jean's pockets, Haro continued to stare at the new surroundings, golden eyes lingering on the brightly painted walls before they met ice blue eyes.
He'd only heard about the hospital a few times before, and that word never seemed to bring any good. He would've said he was sorry for Shin, but he didn't have any parents growing up so he didn't really know of relationships other species had with their parents. His owner seemed to like his parents...and his owner had been human, and Shin was kind of human.
"Sorry about...your mom," he murmured, averting his gaze with a frown...
When was the last time he had eaten?
Glancing up in thought, the younger teen mulled over the question for a moment before answering.
"Well, this morning the people gave me...new food," he murmured before shrugging.

He shrugged. "I'm sure she's fine. Anyway, it's kind of nice to be alone for a change... She never really thought I was capable of much..." He looked back at the other. He hadn't noticed it before, but the boy really was very pretty, just like the bird. He smiled. "Well, are you hungry?"
