The exorcist had done good work. The darkness that had consumed Emma had been expelled, but all evil had not been banished. There was a seed of darkness at her very core, but it was the seed that all are born with and must carry.
A dull ache throbbed through Emma's body, but she would only feel it when she woke.

Scribbler nodded, relieved; she knew Emma was strong, but it was still disconcerting to see the enchantress out cold in a place like this. Nyrk had gotten here just in time, too.
"You knew each other, then?"
And as an afterthought, she added, "Perhaps we should move to somewhere safer...?"

Alnette noticed many things in her careful search, but so far, none that seemed noteworthy. She was sorely tempted to use a spell to see if she could recognize anyone, but for a reason she couldn't pinpoint, decided against it.
With a sigh-- much louder than she had intended-- she stretched her wings to their full extent, flapping them to shed them of the raindrops that had collected on them. finished with that, she folded them once again and continued her silent wandering. She'd look around the old fashioned way-- without magic.

Looking still at Emma, he spoke, "Yes. Though I've never cleansed her before..." His voice seemed to forget it was addressing a vampire. "We really ought to get somewhere safer, you're right." The exorcist took up Emma, slinging her onto the right arm of his cross.
"By your lead," He said, now visibly crouched under his burden. "I know not these forests as well as I might imply."

Emma still drifted through the void, but her head moved ever so slightly. Her body was coming back to reality, though her mind was still nowhere near it.
Miles away, a very concerned sorcerer ceased his frantic pacing about the laboratory, and nearly vented his pent-up frustration on a nearby beaker. He controlled the impulse, taking a few breaths. "She's alright..."

Vii had become lost. How embarrassing it was for a newly changed werewolf to admit she was lost, but at least infancy was still on her side. Her augmented sense of smell had led her this far, following the scents she recognized from her tavern but the sounds that accompanied them were still absent and thus the breeze had led her to a halt, unsure whether to continue or choose another route. ★★★★★★★

Team Charlie and REM-24 closed in on the Baroness, while Team Alpha and Bravo formed a tight formation and stuck close behind them to guard the rear. REM-24 kept a close eye on her, trying to see what her motives were. Their scanners pinged off her body, revealing her weapons and anything else she carried.

Alnette detected the presence of a werewolf and instinctively her grip tightened on her blades. An enemy? She risked a small scanning spell to see if she recognized them and breathed an audible sigh of relief when she recognized it to be Vii. Not wanting to be by herself anymore, she silently made her way to the werewolf, stopping near her. "Hello." Her voice was soft and tense, but it was obvious she was glad to see Vii. "Are you lost or something?" That had been said as a joke.
Alnette had noticed that she had caught the attention of Team Charlie and REM-24, but at the moment, did not see them as a threat, so she simply ignored them. If they were to become a threat, she could quickly strike.

"Neither do I," Scribbler admitted to Nyrk, leafing through her sketchbook for a suitable means of transport and finding naught but a flying carpet. It'll have to do, she supposed, pulling it out and ignoring the few crystals that lit up around them.
Where to, though? A glance at Emma's glistening pendant gave Scribbler an idea, though she had never followed the urge to trace its path. The library.
The carpet hovered, wilting slightly in the light drizzle but reforming just as quickly. "After you, Reverend."

It would be bad luck that of all the people to see, Alnette would appear in Renu's line of sight. The necklace screamed again, and Renu simply said shut up. He didn't want to get into another fight but leave it to his necklace to lash out and physically yell outward.

He eyed the magic suspiciously, but only a moment. First set down was Emma, then Nyrk sat upon it. "Are you certain this will support my burden? ...Are you certain this will support my piety?"

Startled by the sudden appearance of the Baroness, tensed by instinct alone but fueled by Alnette's tone. "Yes actually I was just out for a run and I got distracted by a scent..." she trailed off, hearing a strange sound over her shoulder. Vii's ear rotated to focus on the direction she thought it was coming from but it had ceased. "Is there something wrong? Is this forest not safe?" Due to her recent conversion she'd been having troubles retaining intelligence in her half form. ★★★★★★★

Emma moved again, a gentle shifting that was an instinctual response to her being laid down upon the conjured carpet.
As the enchantress lay there, one could be reminded of how tiny she actually was. Five foot four and barely a hundred and twenty pounds.

Alnette's crimson eye would glance suspiciously to Renu for a moment. She then would shrug and turn her attention back to Vii.
"I see..." Alnette relaxed a bit, her tone softening. With a sigh she shook her head. "It's not safe at all. I have managed to avoid any trouble so far, but I've had a few really close calls." The succubus would shrug and look at Vii. "Anyway, perhaps it would be best if we were to stick together?"

REM-24 decided that Alnette wasn't a threat and the mission continued. He did take note of the werewolf, though. The automatons fanned out amongst the trees once more and got ever closer to the encampment. At this point, they came across the crystals and saw a few soulless ones from a distance. Each of the legionaries relayed pictures of crystals and working soulless ones back to the Imperator's fleet. REM-24 then ordered his troops back to the landing zone, and the automatons began slowly falling back.
