Quick fill-in for those who don't know what NaNoWriMo is:

NaNoWriMo stands for National Novel Writing Month. It's a fun little event held every November in which thousands of writers attempt to write 50,000 words of a book of some kind in one month. It's a challenge, but very fun.

Now, here's my challenge:

First off, it's not a contest. No prizes or anything. Sorry, but I'm kinda Gaia-broke right now, so I don't have much gold to be throwing around. So this will be just for the fun of writing.

Basically, we'll post in this thread the progress on whatever we're currently writing. The amount of words? You let yourself determine the amount. I'm letting you do this in case you have some sort of vacation during the month and you can't possibly pull off 50,000 words. I'm going to set my own goal at 45,000 since I'm already pretty busy and have XC camp at the end of the month.

So go ahead and start posting your progress! Tell everyone your goal and I'll post everybody's status below. I'll start with my own:

Stories can be of any genre and such. Hell, you don't even have to have a title for it yet. Just give me your username, title if you have one, and the goal you want to achieve. I hope this inspires some of you to write!

Note: It starts this Sunday, so you guys can just post your goals now. I'm not going to be back from my grandparents till Saturday night, so there's a good chance I won't be able to update till the start of the challenge.

My coach is still determining when I am leaving for camp and when I am getting back. As of now.. I will be gone for maybe more then two weeks.. leaving in the second week of July.

As busy as July is going to be, I'd have to set my goal at like 10,000 and I probably wouldn't even make that.

Plus, I'm just a tad lost for story ideas right now...I've got a few I've started and never finished but...they've all died in my brain. I'm a really bad novel writer.

If I come up with anything between now and Sunday, though, I'll do this and set a kinda wimpy goal, because like I said, July is going to be SUPER busy.

We get Season Passes and go everyday for two weeks, which means we'll be there from the 22nd to the 2nd.

That would so awesome. Weird in a strange way, but awesome. xd

If you see those people in the grad pic, minus my brother, then you'll see me. Oh, and we have a stroller. Not 'cause we have a baby, but because it holds our stuff and is cheaper then renting a wagon. xd

Kirby... No one is going to be able to read your books! They will be longer then a dictionary.

I actually enjoy reading the dictionary thank you very much.

And Sign me up. I'm gonna shoot for about... 20k words. I need to work on Her Ghost In The Fog

Exscuse me Hawk, if you would like, I could draw an Illustration for each story that enters this event (As that does seem to be my forte.) It wont signify a winner, which is nonexsistant in this event as far as I can tell, but it will serve as a special something for all those participating.
