the DX theme starts to play as the familiar green light comes over the arena. the classic DX titatron begins to flash across the screen.

BREAK IT DOWN!

fireworks shoot off the stage as Shawn Michaels comes out to the cheers of the crowd.

"From San Antonio Texas, weighing in at 225 pounds, he is one half of D-Generation X, the Heartbreak Kid, Shawn michaels!"

Shawn heads for the ring, slapping fans hands along the way. he stops at the end of the ramp and makes the X taunt as green fireworks shoot off in the shape of an X in front of the titatron and all across the stage. finally he hops onto the apron and steps into the ring. he stands in the center and hits a few crotch chops as the green X pyros shoot off behind him. he removes his entrance gear as the lights return to normal and the music dies out. he turns to await the arrival of the Dragon

Shawn nods at him, telling him that that was an impressive entrance. the bell rings and the two lock up. Shawn manages to lock in a side headlock but jarel shoves him off into the ropes. shawn bounces back and Jarel takes him down with a shoulder block. Shawn rolls onto his stomach as Jarel leaps over him and bounces off the ropes, then Shawn catches him in a quick armdrag. jarel gets to his feet and is caught in another one. again jarel gets up and is caught with yet another one, this time into an armbar. Jarel is caught in the hold for a while before managing to stand and grabbing Shawn's arm, then twisting to turn the hold into a hammerlock. Shawn reaches back and catches him in a snapmare. Jarel lands in a sitting position and Shawn kicks him in the back, then goes for a pin.

Jarel kicks out of the pin quickly just after a 1 count. Shawn pulls him up and goes for an irish whip but Jarel reverses the whip and hits a back body drop. as Shawn lands on his back, Jarel follows up with an elbow drop across the chest, followed by a pinfall attempt

Shawn kicks out just after 1 as well and the two legends get to their feet. they stand and lock eyes as the crowd cheers yet again. again the two lock up and this time Jarel locks in a side headlock and takes shawn michaels down. Shawn manages to shove him back and lock in a leg scissors around his head. Jarel powers out and again the two scramble to their feet, and this time Jarel nails shawn with a hard right hand, knocking him to the mat

Shawn remains locked in the hold for a short while before rolling Jarel into a pinning combination. Jarel releases the hold and kicks out at 2. the two stand up and Jarel hits another hard right to take Shawn down. Jarel rolls out of the ring and pulls Shawn Michaels to the ring apron, leaving his head hanging over the edge. he then bigboots him in the side of the head and drives an elbow across his throat before hopping up onto the apron and hitting a ring apron legdrop.

Shawn rolls into the ring holding his throat and jarel rolls in after him. Shawn gets to his feet and Jarel irish whips him into the ropes, going for another back body drop.

Jarel pulls Shawn up by his hair but Shawn gets a sudden burst of energy and hits him squarely in the jaw. he then backs him against the ropes with some chops to the chest and goes for an irish whip, which Jarel reverses. Shawn bounces back and Jarel catches him in a bearhug in the center of the ring. every so often, Jarel squeezes a little harder, adding more pressure to his spine. after about a minute of being stuck in this hold. Shawn pulls Jarel's head back using his hair and punches him right between the eyes. Jarel drops him and staggers back against the ropes, and Shawn clotheslines him over the top rope. Jarel lands on his feet awkwardly but is taken down by a suicide plancha from Shawn a few seconds later.

Shawn gets to his feet first and pulls Jarel up by his hair, then attempts to slam his face into the steel stairs. Jarel blocks and slams his head into them instead, and Shawn staggers and falls against the barricade. Jarel hits a few body shots to his ribs while he's leaning against the barricade before rolling into the ring to break the count. as he goes for Shawn again, shawn drop toe holds him face first on the barricade. Shawn then hops up onto the apron and hits a missile dropkick to Jarel's back, sending him over the barricade and into the audience. Shawn rolls back into the ring to take a breather while the ref continues to count Jarel out

Shawn climbs the turnbuckle and attempts a moonsault. unfortunately for him, Jarel rolls out of the way and Shawn lands on his stomach. the breath rushes out of him as Jarel sits up and rolls to his feet. Shawn stands and jarel catches him by the throat, then hits a vicious chokeslam.

JR: CHOKESLAM! That ought to even the score

King: I doubt Shawn Michaels can kick out after missing that moonsault and taking a chokeslam.

unfortunately for jarel, shawn does kick out before 3. Jarel lifts him up and sits him on the top rope, then hits a few hard rights to rock him. finally jarel catches him by the throat and hits a chokeslam from the top rope to the center of the ring.

King: I'd be surprised if Shawn Michaels kicks out after a 10 count.

JR: That was one hellacious chokeslam and here's the pin.

this time, jarel secures the 3 count to even the score

Shawn: 1
Jarel: 1

Jarel stops the stomps and pulls Shawn up, then irish whips him into the ropes. Shawn bounces back and Jarel goes for a boot to the face, which Shawn ducks. Shawn then hits a chopblock to take Jarel down again. he stands and stomps Jarel's legs a few times, then locks in another leg lock.

Jarel eventually inches to the ropes and Shawn releases the hold. Shawn steps up onto the second rope and hits a knee drop onto Jarel's leg. as he steps onto the rope to do it again, Jarel rolls out of the way. he stumbles to his feet in the corner and shawn kicks him in the sore leg, forcing him down a little lower. Shawn steps onto the ropes again and hits some punches to his head. Jarel shifts and lifts Shawn onto his shoulders, then hits a massive falling powerbomb out of the corner.

JR: That was one hell of a powerbomb.

King: Yeah, and i'm pretty sure a 3 count will follow.

sure enough, Jarel goes for the pin and scores a second fall to take the lead again.

Shawn: 1
Jarel: 2

Shawn and Jarel continue to brawl until they reach the sound booth, when jarel tosses him up into the booth and climbs up after him, then pummels him in the corner. the crowd cheers as they look up into the layered sound booth and watch this ensue. Shawn michaels begins to bleed from the head as Jarel pulls him up and attempts to chokeslam him out of the booth to the very thin padded ground below. as he's lifted up, Shawn jumps back behind him and superkicks him out of the booth. jarel lands hard on his back and lays there, barely conscious. Shawn leans against some of the sound equipment, blood pouring down his face. eventually he stands up and climbs on top of the railing, then hits his Heartbreak Elbow drop on the prone Jarel, nailing him right in the chest. Jarel merely rolls onto his side, trying to catch his breath but still not moving.

Shawn rolls over and nails him with some hard rights to the head. finally he pulls him up and nails him with another right. jarel staggers towards the stag and drops to his knees, still not able to fully catch his breath. he stands and Shawn nails him again, knocking him onto the ramp. jarel begins to walk up the ramp, beginning to breathe easier, but as he turns he's nailed with a chop across the chest. now on the stage, jarel fights back, hitting him squarely in the jaw with an uppercut. finally he shoves shawn face first into the PPV background setting. as shawn turns around, Jarel grabs him by the throat. the crowd roars a little louder as jarel lifts him up and chokeslams him off the stage through a table with wires and other sound equipment on it.
