Did you ever notice that humans are indeed hypocritical? Lets say you're eating a juicy steak in a restaurant enjoying it, cause it's your favorite food. But then, you look out the window next to you and a cow accidentally got caught in machinery. At first, you hear a high pitched 'moo' and see its skin caught inside of it. But then, a second later, because the machinery is turned on, the spinning causes a ripping effect and it tears off a good deal of the cow sending the blood, guts, and the rest of it flying. You wince and look away because it's too much. And yet, you don't even think that what you just saw is on your plate.
The same goes with abortions. You can say you don't care about them. But then, someone tells you some chick killed a cat. You wince a bit, and then they tell you it was pregnant and due in a few weeks, you tremble interiorly.
We love to stare at animals in the zoo, but we found freak shows with people in cages cruel.
With me, yes, I'm a vegetarian, so I can't talk about the first point. Yes, I agree with abortions, and I love to zoo. So I'm not flaming on my beliefs, I'm trying to state a point about us all.
Discuss: Humans and hypocrisy.

I'd just wince about the cow because I wouldn't like the sight of blood. But cow is rather tasty. 3nodding I wouldn't feel guilty about it's death though, cuz I'm eating it. As for the cat, it being pregnant wouldn't make me feel worse, I'd already feel pretty bad in the first place.
But anyway yeah, people can be hypocrites, but what can ya do? I myself, try not to say something and do something else, but as I am human, I'm prone to making mistakes as anyone else is.
What I can't stand about hyprocisy is when most religious fanatics are all in your face telling you this and that and how to live your life, but most of them are out doing the very same thing they told you not to, or even worse. It reminds me of a bible scripture that no one pays attention to (Whoo atheism and the bible yay) I can't recite it word for word but it goes something like this: To get the moat out of another's eye, you must first get the beam out of thine own eye. Essentially, you can't tell me what to do if your own life isn't right. Once you become perfect, then you can tell me what's right and wrong. 3nodding

Well actually I find nothing wrong with humans in cages, but don't like the idea of animals in cages. I despise the human race, and if your selling yourself to be laughed at that is you bisuness not mine.
However animals never hurt unless they feel threatened. Animals are more important to me than anything, beside my mother. I would probably hit that chick in the face. There is no reason to kill a cat, especially a pregnent one. As for abortion, I'm pro-choice. My opinion is "Who cares, like we need more humans in this world? There are already 6 billion of us. More than any other species of animal in this world."
I'm not a vegitarian, but I try not to overly eat meat. I mean one vegitarian doesn't stop the cows from being killed, and I like my steak.
But yes humans are very hypocritical. Humans are humans. They do whatever benefits themselves the most.

Well if you ask me I wouldn't very well pick a restaurant next to machinery that you can get caught in. If a cow can get caught in it, I can only imagine what idiotic hormonally crazed teen will try to go near it and accidentally get caught up in that. It helps ease my guilty conscience over said cow and possible teenager to not go to such a restaurant rolleyes however still I find myself the biggest hypocrite of all time. Gosh darn it all so what? I eat cow, I LIKE IT!, I defend religions but don't follow one...stupid yes but WHO CARES? However I don't like seeing the animal killed because quite frankly I don't want to see anything killed in front of me right before I eat. To me its kinda common sense, its like seeing a murder or a bunch of bugs squished and then you think "Hungry..." Its not hypocrisy to be grossed out by blood though I don't find myself being grossed out by a cow's death as I would by a human's. I've seen slaughter both human and cow slaughter (you see things outside a fifth floor window in Queens) and quite frankly I'm not going to lose sleep over it, and slaughter of an animal has become more for lack of a better term humane. They just electrocute the future steak.
I'll have to agree with marshjazz on the human cage thing, the idiot stupid enough to sell himself/herself brought it on themselves. I also take a very Scrooge-like stance on the whole abortion thing, LET IT DIE (if you want said fetus to die) SO THAT IT CAN STOP THE ADDING TO THE SURPLUS POPULATION! NEXT TO ANTS WE ARE THE MOST NUMEROUS SPECIES ON EARTH! STOP DIGGING IN AND SQUIRTING OUT! I would hate to see a cat die I find cats cuddly and fun to hold and cuddle (shut up all you guys before I show you what a Colombian necktie feels like) and would find myself feeling more sympathy for the cat because the cat was not consulted but the human was. Also it would take one stupid bimbo or a really ******** up crack head to not realize that they're pregnant by the time the child is a few weeks due. Just saying is all.
Yes I'm a hypocrite! I flirt around with girls and listen to morally questionable music and read the Bible/Quran/Torah/Vedas/(Insert Holy Book here) and teach people about religions so they can sin less, I eat cow but don't like to see blood because I want to eat in peace not amidst blood and guts. So what if I'm a hypocrite? Hypocrisy is what created governments, it is what created what we are today, we preach all this fluff about right and wrong in Church and such and then on Saturday we go off to the clubs and wear provocative clothing and drink yummy alcohol (Duuur??). I support nonviolence but love to see a good fight or revolt once in awhile (R.I.P Che and Zapata). I could care less because the only thing I have to answer to is God not humans over the whole hypocrisy issue.

i say humans are cruel beings, were gonna blow up the planet, andiwould trade the technology we have to go back to the way it was before the days of fire, because then we may have been bad still, but we didnt know it as being immoral, we knew it as survival

I'm sorry but I don't do any of those things you mentioned, although I do agree that humans are hypocritical. It's almost impossible not to be a hypocrite at some time in your life, that is unless you are unable to communicate with others.

Hypocracy is completely unavoidable.
The only person who isn't a hypocrite is the person who recognises their hypocracy, and either does something about it, or doesn't do something about it but recognise that they're lazy.
I'd be a vegetarian but I like the taste of meat.
To avoid hypocracy you don't have to stop critisising people, you just have to recognise your faults.

Discuss: Humans and hypocrisy. okay...look at my veiw...your examples are well illustrated but...here let me put it this way...Hipocracy what a topic!!!! something that not even the great Dr. Martin Luther King Junior could stop! it relates to segregation. There is too much to discuss here I'm sorry! I really like to debate, but this isn't very well thought out.

marshjazz Hold on. What does Martin Luther King have to do with hypocrisy? Dr. Martin Luther King jr. fought the white hipocracy. well in some eyes it was hipocracy. Do you agree that the whites thought they were better when really no matter what color you are are the same can be defined as hipocracy?

Not really. Because that had been the mind set for some many years. Hypocrisy is when you say one thing and do the oposite. Like you say abortion is wrong, and then you end up pregnent and get one. Whites never claimed that what they were doing was wrong, they thought they were right.

Yeah, whites thought thay whites were the best and blacks were the worst. Whites never said that blacks were bad and then treated them like royalety. Or the other way around, that wasn't hypocrisy. I know what your getting at, but it isn't hypocrisy. It was racism/segrigation/discrimination.
I typed that with one finger while I was taking pills with the other. I'm good aren't I? cool
