Tearing across the pockmarked field of football. Comes a thread, one to discuss Bloodbowl in.

Ok folks. I am trying to learn Blood Bowl now. Already got teams painted, and played a couple of beginner games. Anyone got advice? I'm using the Human and Ork teams.

Also, are Blood Bowl games generally low scoring? Seems like a whole lotta turns go by before someone scores a touchdown. sweatdrop

I think it just takes practice. And if you want to score more often, you could try to use a faster team, like Skaven or Elves.

What is your favorite BB model?

I like Gnashrack Blackhoof, the minotaur. I don't know why, but I've liked his model since I was a kid. And I like the Norse models... but those amazons are nice too.

Hi guys i've been playing blood bowl for a while now so i'll try and help you with any rule queries, tactics or anything like that.

@Lynxswift; blood bowl games do generally tend to be quite low scoring and it usually takes on average 3-5 turns in our games to score a touch down (slightly faster when we use Elves & Dark Elves)
next my only advice is when playing as humans against orcs try to use your speed to your advantage and don't let them gang up on your players as their armour value is higher and its a lot harder to inflict wounds on them

@Angelic_Executioner; my favourite model at the moment is probably the new Griff Oberwald figure (and the new human team looks damn nice as well)

That's actually a very good idea for a name. Though I've already named my team the Broken Toofs sweatdrop . Maybe if I come up with another Orc team.

Here's my team the Broken Toofs.

I prefer the Chaos and Empire Teams myself. My Khorne team doesnt care about scoring, we win by putting every member of the opposing team in the hospital or six feet under ground.

I play (or have playied) most GW games and still think BB is one of their best games!
Not only is a lot cheaper than any of the core ones (you only need 11/16 minis), but it also alows you to convert all the team if you want to have a team different from all the others!

Do you usualy play leagues or "one-off" games?

Lately I've just been playing one-offs, but I'd love to play in a league.

Hiem is probly cheeper for parts wise. Using a Fanasty battle box you can make your own force

My Ork team, currently under construction and looking for a name, is 1-1. My friend seemed to be really PO'd that I killed three of his humans and he didn't kill any orks.

I'm thinking of getting into this...

I want to do a Pirate themed army... But make it REAL dirty.. Not meant for scoring touchdowns... Just meant to kill / injure the other people's players.

I'm thinking of getting the OLD OLD OLD OOP Ork Freebooterz off of Ebay.. And converting them up so they'd work out... biggrin
