Arsenic lifted his head and smiled at Astatine. He had been resting, and quite frankly wondering about what to do with his daughters, especially now that Astatine had grown completely. Seeing her peek her head in with that same look on her face when from when she was a cub did nothing to ease his heart. "What is it, Angel?"

Astatine padded the rest of the way in and nuzzled Arsenic. IT was a shame... he had no clue how wrong he was when he called her 'Angel'. But she gave her normal, twisted half-smile and bounced from paw to paw. "Daddy, I know you've been dreading this... but you know I don't belong in Rose Petal. And you can't help me with my power..." She began, her ears drooping as Arsenic's expresion became more and more upset. Her father was one of the only mortals she respected. Her father, her grandfather, and her grandmother. Those were the only one's she seemed ready to respect.

Arsenic flattened his ears against his head. These were the last words he wanted to hear and their truth made him want to curl up into a ball and plug his ears so he couldn't hear it. "Astatine, where will you go? I can find someone to help you with your powers! I get Zephyrus!" He pleaded. He didn't want her to go, not so soon!

Astatine frowned but continued. "I promised my friend I'd go to her pride. She's part spirit, same with her mother. They can help me. You know Zephyrus doesn't want anything to do with me!" She protested. "Daddy if you just let me go it'll be so much easier! I'll still visit you and gramps! Promise."

Arsenic ran a paw down his face stretching his cheek down. "You really wanna go?" He watched as she nodded and heaved a great sigh. "We'll have to talk to your grandfather... And then I guess you're free... As long as you still come see me at least a few times..."

Astatine almost squealed with delight. "Thank you, Daddy! I promise you'll see me all the time! Can we talk to him now? My friend is probably waiting for me, and you do not keep her waiting." She groaned the last part, knowing she had procrastinated, and Nuria was likely to be upset... Hopefully she could change that though.

Arsenic nodded his head. "He's not usually on a protol this time of day, so it'll be easier to find him. We'll check above the den." He got up and stretched his tired limbs. His daughter was leaving him... Lithium would be next... He knew that once they left he and Kerryn would be able to go off on their origional trip, but it was heart breaking to think of his girls leaving him.

Astatine ran out of her fathers chamber and out of the den. She leaped gracefully from rock ledge to rock ledge until she was ontop of the den, where Santos often hung out. "Gramps!" She purred when she saw him laying in the sun. "Grandpa Daddy said I could leave the pride, if it's alright with you." She gave her famous twisted half-smile. "There's this other pride, they'll help me with my powers."

Santos lifted his head and smiled at Astatine. He'd always known of her horribly dark attitude towards other, but she did not treat him or any of her relatives badly around him, so he did not say anything. "You're father gave you permission to leave?" He asked, puzzled. It didn't seem like something Arsenic would do willingly.
"She had valid points. I think it's better she's properly trained." Arsenic rose to the top of the den and sat beside Astatine. "If this.. other pride has a queen and princess with similar powers, I think it's best she goes." He nodded, a sad gleam in his eyes."
Santos watched his son, knowing how painful this was for him. "But we could use her help. Is there no one else willing to help her? It'd be a bad move to let such a good member of the pride go..." He frowned. This was his granddaughter, and no matter how twisted she could be, she didn't want to see her leave.
Arsenic shook his head. "There is no one, Father. It's best she goes." He repeated quietly.
Santos nodded. "As you wish... Astatine you are free to leave. Once you pass those boarder you will no longer be a member of Rose Petal Pride, but you will always be a member of our family. Remember that we love you, and visit often. And stay out of trouble." He winked. "Astatine I give you permission to leave."

Astatine watched her father and Santos talk as if she wasn't there and growled, irratated. When Santos spoke to her she brightened up and smiled wider. "Really?! Thank you so much Gramps! I'll visit soon!" She leaped up and nuzzled her grandpa and then her father. "Don't worry, I'll be fine." With that she turned and bounced off, leaping down the side of the den and towards the border. She'd best hurry. "Nuria, love, I'm on my way, don't kill me." she laughed.
