Her dragon has also appeared in her dreams. Now he just needs a name. Nov. 4, 04~ This journal was opened. **Just a little something to get you started. What you write in this journal is up to you, though it should involve you rping that you're interacting with your dragon. First though, you have to get your dragon. Write a little story/description of a dream you've had or just one you've made up. I'll read this and use it to design your dragon. Please, don't say anything about the dragon itself, just the dream. Once I post in here with your dragon, you're free to keep posting whatever you want. About Teroise:Teroise has spikes that travel down his back. They are a form of protection, while the ones on his tail are for battle. There is extra muscle in his tail to allow him to put a lot of force in the swinging of his tail. Any attacker could find themselves with deep punctures from those spikes. About Dierdre:Like Morbus, this little one is also a zombie, though she is a bit better preserved than he is. While her and Morbus have in-human strength, even for dragons, her skin and flesh is rather delicate and soft to the touch. She also has no eyes, but her senses are so sharp, she has no problem getting around. About Spire:This dracling has several interesting features. The first one might notice are her eyes, which instead of a usual cornea over them, have a shield of crystal. Instead of usual horns and claws, these are also formed out of crystal, from her shield spikes and tail spikes to her nose horn and the spines growing from her shoulder. These features can shatter like any crystal, but she has the ability to regenerate them over time. Her skin has an oddly-changing pattern of bubbles that are a form of camoflauge- they never change color, however, only position. Overall she is more built for defense than offense, but she can play either. About Thorne:This male has a multitude of small thorny protrusions and large wings. His wings are too fragile for flight but can be spread to collect sunlight and provide energy through photosynthesis. His thorns are not very strong-- they are more bendable-- but are quite sharp. The rose he carries is actually an extension of himself, it grows from the tip of his tail periodically and then he usually removes it. It does die and seems to serve no real purpose... About Csilla:This female has whisker-like growths on her face and leaf-like growths on her tail. She emits a very strong scent from glands located somewhere near the ears. By moving them she can spread the scent around; it has a calming effect. The tips of her whiskers also carry a hormone that can temporarily paralyze almost all creatures. Unfortunately, she is not wholly immune to the effect herself, but an antidote can be made from the growths on her tail. These take some time to grow back, so it is not often employed. Death from suffocation could result from contact with large amounts of the hormone- she does not produce enough at one time. About Berach:This boy is rather dangerous. From his angular face, legs, and tail down to his claws, there aren't many round spots on him. Even his wings, which appear fragile and easily broken, are sharp. He is built for speed-- his wings and tail function as rudders and his claws dig deep into the ground for traction and propulsion. His tail can also be used as a weapon with its curved end. However, due to their structure, his eyes are rather weak and he can barely see at night unless it is brighter than usual. About Oseari:Oseari is a dracling that is always cold, but this also gives her an advantage in that she has an increased tolerance to pain. Her navy blue skin seems to almost sparkle and glow. With her bat-like wings that extend down her body, Oseari has added lift and gliding potential in the air.

~:[ Teroise ]:~
Teroise has spikes that travel down his back. They are a form of protection, while the ones on his tail are for battle. There is extra muscle in his tail to allow him to put a lot of force in the swinging of his tail. Any attacker could find themselves with deep punctures from those spikes.
Teroise is a strong guardian, and has a strong sense of honor. If there is danger, he is one of the first ones to put himself in between it and those he sees as needing protection. He's a bit of hothead, quick to anger, and proud, but as he has grown, he's learned to bring it under his control.
-=-=-
She awoke, blinking blearily, and wondered why there were red lights dancing on the ceiling. How odd... they looked just like... like... fire!
Rime bolted upright, knowing she had to get out, if there was a fire. She made her way to the door of the unfamiliar room. As she reached for the handle, it suddenly opened before her, and outside were several people. She told them to hurry out, there was a fire, but they shook their heads and she realized that though the lights were flickering, there was no smoke, no heat, not anymore, though she knew she had felt them before.
"Come and help us," the people said. "We're looking for the lost boy. He's been lost for days. Help us find him," they repeated.
She frowned, confused. Boy? What boy? Why were these people demanding she help them find a boy she knew nothing about? But... it was just a child, and if he were lost, then she knew she had to help. There simply was no other choice.
They disappeared down the hallway before her, and though she tried to catch up, they vanished around a corner.
If they wanted my help, they sure have an odd way of showing it, she groused, irritated. She sped up a little, but when she rounded the corner...
"Who are you?" she asked, staring at the woman behind the counter in what looked like the kitchen. The woman had a matronly look about her, as though she could be anyone's mother. She said nothing, but thrust her hands out towards Rime, silver coins spilling from her grasp as she shoved them at Rime's chest.
"What is all this about? I don't want this, I don't need this! I'm looking for a little boy!" Rime yelled, and shoved the coins she'd instinctively caught back at the woman, baring her teeth in anger. The coins rained down, bouncing and tinkling like chimes across the floor. The woman began to cry silently, but instead of water, she was shedding tears of blood, which stained the white tissue she dabbed at them with crimson.
Rime backed up, shocked and angry at this strange woman for putting her in such a situation, then turned and ran further down the hall, through another door, slamming it behind her forcefully. How dare all these strange people be getting in her way when she was in such a hurry!
She took a step back in the twilight lit room, and cursed out loud as she stepped directly into something hard which poked painfully into her spine.
"Now what?" Rime fumed, and turned, just as the lights came up. The room was filled with exercise equipment of all shapes and sizes, leaving no room for floor space or a walkway. How was she going to get through all of this, and who would be stupid enough to put it all so close anyway?
Teeth grinding in fury, Rime set about shoving it all to one side, so she could clear a path to the door on the other side. The room seemed to enlarge itself as she did this, so that when she was finished, there was just enough room to pass by them. Breathing heavy with exertion and anger, she stalked by the equipment, heading for the door on the other side.
She'd almost made it when suddenly she heard a mocking, mechanical laughter behind her, and she exploded with anger. Snarling, Rime whirled around, shocked to find herself looking at two life-sized cloth dolls that hadn't been in the room before.
They had yarn hair, stitched mouths, button eyes, and cotton dresses. Their fingers were one lumpy mass with a separate thumb. And they were the source of the mechanical laughter, though they had nothing mechanical about them. And their eyes were glowing, giving them a cunning, menacing air.
"HA-HA-Ha-ha-ha... HA-HA-Ha-ha-ha..." they laughed, and she felt embarrassment and fury color her cheeks, as a couple of hot, angry tears slid down them. She stalked towards them, claws forming on the ends of her fingers, and with a wordless scream of fury, she shredded them, rending them limb from limb, cotton stuffing flying everywhere, the glowing buttons and the mechanical laughter eventually fading.
Rime's anger was spent, and she sank to her knees in front of the mess she'd made, chest heaving and hair wildly out of place, still flexing her claws, pupils dilated.
---
She suddenly awoke, sitting bolt upright on her bed, this time in a very familiar room, and was surprised to find tears wetting her cheeks. A touch revealed that she must have been crying quite a bit, as the pillow also had a wide damp spot where she'd been lying.
"What an angry dream..." she murmured, and worried over what it would summon to her.

While her and Morbus have in-human strength, even for dragons, her skin and flesh is rather delicate and soft to the touch. She also has no eyes, but her senses are so sharp, she has no problem getting around.
Dierdre is a rather timid little zombie dragon; she doesn't like to be left alone, and won't venture far from where she knows others are. She has gotten braver with age, but she still prefers the company of other greatly over solitude. She loves to sit for hours and listen to stories or the activity of others around her.

~:[ Euryale ]:~
This dragon is almost impossible to sneak up on. Each of the 'snakes' on her head is a sensory appendage, and she can therefore see or sense in all directions. She has a petrifying gaze, if the target looks her directly in the eyes, which isn't under her control. She isn't quite as fast as other dragons, though, due to her snakey lower body.
Euryale is a loner, owing to her stony gaze, and though she's a bit bitter about it all, is actually not that bad a dragon. She's lacking in social graces, but doesn't mean any real harm.
-=-=-
It was a stony field that Rime opened her eyes to find herself standing in. Not just a rock filled meadow, but an actual field made of stone. Rime looked around her in puzzlement at the blades of grass, frozen forever in their graceful bends.
Here and there throughout the field were statues, perfectly formed and chiseled. There were also mirrors strewn about, some tall, some short, some round, some square. It was a very odd scene.
Rime heard movement behind her, and turned, but nothing was there. So she shrugged, and went to examine one of the statues. It really was perfect, as though someone had been frozen just as they were turning.
A mirror was nearby, and so she headed to look at it, and heard something moving behind her again, a slithering sort of sound, the sound of scales on stone. Rime's breath caught in her throat, and she continued on to the mirror.
She rounded the side of the mirror, and examined the surface which wasn't quite flat. It made her and the scene behind her warp like a fun-house mirror, and she frowned at the poor workmanship of it all. She also frowned at what was reflected from behind her: the empty field, dotted with life-like statues, nothing stirred by the wind that gently blew except her clothes and hair.
She sighed, almost disappointed, and looked down at her feet, then back into the mirror, only to find her breath frozen in her chest. There was a dark shape looming behind her in the mirror, eyes glowing.
Rime squeezed her eyes shut, and crouched down before the mirror, waiting for the strike... waiting... and nothing happened.
When she opened her eyes again, it was to find herself staring at the ceiling of her own darkened room.

~:[ Phoebe ]:~
This dragon has poisonous claws and a sharp beak. Her wings are shaped for fast flight.
Phoebe isn't quite your normal Harpy, aside from being part Dragon. She's cleaner than most, and nicer, though she still has a nasty disposition. She seems to only get along with others who can put up with her sarcasm and pranks.
-=-=-
They were running, running, running, but from what she couldn't tell. She couldn't speak, either, watching them from above, bound to follow them and watch them and nothing else.
They were being chased, that much was apparent. Soon she could hear what was chasing them, and it was flinging out the most vile of curses in a shrill, angry, screeching voice, which was growing louder by the minute. Soon it would be here...
They ran, always just a bit ahead of the voice that cursed them and promised terrible threats, and Rime followed them as well, silent and invisible. They begged for forgiveness, promised they'd never do it again, whatever it was. Some terrible offense, but they never declared what it was they'd done.
Soon the voice was joined by others, one higher, one a bit lower, and they all cursed the fleeing people, and a scent rose in the air, one that made the people gag, and Rime herself felt like retching. The sound of flapping wings filled the air, and the voices grew shriller with the nearing victory.
Rime knew the people wouldn't get away. She felt sorry for them, but even as she thought that, she felt herself drifting away, farther from the fleeing, begging sinners and the chasing, vengeful voices.

This dracling has several interesting features.
Spire appears to be a calm little dragon, but that appearance is only on the surface. She's always ready with an explosive sort of energy, and gets excited easily, though she also easily quiets back down.
-=-=-
Darkness slowly resolved itself into an amazing vista, alien but breath-taking. Spread before her was a vast purple ocean, waves undulating thickly and sparkling beautifully under the red sun, which was sinking, huge and swollen, towards the horizon. Maybe the purple color was caused by the sunlight on blue water...?
Tearing her eyes away from this sight, Rime took a second to get her bearings. She realized she was floating in the rough woven basket of a hot air balloon, a short distance above the waves. Sandbags hung over the edge, and there were packs of gear tucked into the edges, leaving her but a couple of feet to stand inside.
As soon as she realized this, a jet of flame roared above her, giving heat and lift to the balloon, which rose rapidly. She jumped in surprise, not just from the sudden wash of heat but also from the immense purple spire of crystal that had suddenly leapt out of the water towards the balloon.
It missed by mere feet, and Rime saw herself mirrored in the perfect facets. It was indeed purple, and not a trick of the light. She could reach out to touch it, it was so close, and she felt almost compelled to. But even as she lifted her hand to do so, it started to slowly recede away, melting back into the weird purple ocean.
The woman looked around, and realized that elsewhere in this ocean, the same phenomenon was happening, as far as she could see, though her arrival here had seemingly been a lull in the activity.
The flame roared again, as another spire jutted nearby, and now they were above the height the crystals seemed to stop at, and Rime was looking down at them.
Nothing living could be in that water, if water it even was. It was a beautiful desert, unable to be viewed by anything but the air.
The swollen red sun sank lower, and Rime's balloon drifted on, into the rosy twilight as the waves continued to create and absorb their dangerous, sterile, beautiful crystals.

Thorne is something of a romantic, and rather chivalrous. He's soft spoken and polite, but when a damsel or someone he cares about is threatened, he uses his roses as projectile weapons, though they usually just startle the aggressor long enough for him and the one he's protecting to get away. He will also sometimes give them as gifts.

Csilla is a sedate dragon, content to watch the world go by her, most of the time. She's a great listener and hardly ever raises her voice or loses her temper. This is probably due to the sedative effect of her own scent.

There was a girl, dressed in simple gown, the color of dawn. She had long, flaxen hair, fair skin and slender limbs. She stood serenely on the surface of the dark lake, which was still and smooth as glass, and surrounded by tall dark pines. Her eyes were closed and her hands were clasped behind her, gently. Still as a statue, it seemed she was frozen, that she could not move. But as time passed, rapidly, rapidly, the stars faded, the sky lightened, and she opened her eyes, which were golden, and she smiled, an ancient, knowing smile. As the sun made its first appearance above the horizon, she took her first step, and her foot falls caused ripples to spread out. Her steps became a dance as the sun rose higher; her eyes flashed, her hair streamed, her gown flowed as she leapt and spun. As she did so, she was joined in her dance by dragonflies, large ones and small ones, with barred wings and bright bodies, darting to and fro around her. Some lighted on her hair and hands, only to take off moments later. As the sun rose to it's zenith, she began to laugh, merrily, continuing her dance tirelessly, the dragonflies still gathering to witness, to attend, to cavort along with the girl. And as the sun started its downward journey, the sky grew red, the shadows grew long, and her dance slowed. The dragonflies vanished one by one, taking their rest, and she stopped, her dance over, her steps having carried her back to the center of the lake to stand serene and still, to await tomorrow's light. -=-=- [x]-=-=- Berach's Belongings

This dragon is a bit of a hypnotist, her eyes being able to mildly mesmerize anyone who gazes into them. It's easy enough to snap out of this effect, however. Her tail is twisted and springy, like a vine, and seems to grow a bit longer each year.
Jacqueline is a mild prankster, and a solitary sort. She does fine amongst company, but only if the meetings happen when she chooses. If she doesn't like what is going on, or finds it boring, she is liable to simply take off, without any warning, in search of something more interesting.
