Deep with in the sun feather mountains, a range riddled with cliffs, springs, meadows, badlands, and forests, there was an ancient legend, which speaks of the former capital of the High elves. This fabled city became known in legend as En'Taka. Although many expeditions have been made, the city is belived to be nothing more than mere legend. But to some adventurers who seek the Phonos Amulet that was said to grant any wish, often persist anyways.

The pass is about a week long walk from one side to the other. Its highly recomended to bring a group. Not so much as the variety of creatures that dwell in the Sun Feather range, but the enviorments are difficult to survive in alone. Smugglers often use this route, as well as a religious cult, bent on finding the ruined elvin capital.

There is a secret war going on in the pass between four different factions (With the rumors of a 5th one.) The leaders of each of these factions are nearly legendary in skill level. And their followers are no push overs either. Nuetral travelers and villagers often learn not to get involved.

Factions of Sun Feather Pass:

The Returners:

Led by the courageous, yet unforgiving demon hunter, Zaiden Avalon, this group of modern paladins hunts those that associate with demons or any other dark entities. They are rarely seen or sensed, but often stalk groups through the pass. Rooting out any who threaten to corrupt their home. They don’t exactly see a difference between an elemental spirit or a demon.

Red Fang:

Several small gangs of bandits, smugglers, and assassin clans which have banded together under the leadership of the sociopath named Milo Kurzak. Red Fang has been battling in the shadows with governmental militias, The Returners, and other smaller factions for control of the pass. They also seek the Phonos Amulet.

Darkwhisper Brotherhood:

Since there is no evidence of their existence, they are believed to be nothing but mere legend. But they are said to be among the most revered assassins in the world. Brothers of the cult are said to worship a variety of demons. And legend has it, they where cursed by one of the demons, over a feud, and no longer walk the lands of the mortal plane. Even if they once existed, experts would say that their remnants have given up their lives as assassins, and assimilated with normal people.

Worshipers of Drade:

Purhaps the most famous cult in Sun Feather Pass is the blood cult of Drade. Drade is a powerful devil, who was sealed away somewhere in the pass, and his worshipers have been trying to resurrect him for centuries. They battle the Returners and Red Fang, claiming the passage as their domain. They go under the leadership of a female necromancer named Amber. Though her true name is Rosette, she lost the name long ago in her corruption, and was renamed by the amber glow in her eyes.

The Undead of En'Taka:

Its unclear if these are the remnates of the ancient elvin capital, or what led to the defeat. But hidden deep within the pass, the dead walk among the ancient walls. Led by the copper litch, known as Yow'Zule, they have hidden the city so well, not even the drade worshipers know of its true location, right under their noses. Purhaps there is one in Koi High who has been there before. And he sacrificed something very valuable to escape with his life.

The road was about a half a day's walk from the school. Kai stepped silently, looking at the two large mossy gray stone cliffs, and the narrow valley between them. There was an old creaky sign, saying in four different languages "This land is not government controlled. We will take responsibility for any incident happening inside these lands."

Kai looked up at the crisp clear blue sky, then at the feilds of tall grass that swayed in waves with the wind. Then his eyes set up to the pass. Mossy stones and brilliant green leaf trees aligned the edges with the dirt road. Although the sight of the vacant road was slightly unsetteling, there was a lot just waiting to be explored there. It didn't feel corrupted, or anything. The land was natural. But there almost feeled like a hint of sorrow in the air.

"This is the place." Tyo said, catching up with Kai in a jog.

Kai nodded, smiling at the warm valley breeze billowing out from the pass. "This place seems good enough so far." He said, as his blond hair began to sway with the passing breeze.

Skye followed closely behind Kai, so he was matched up with Tyo. He looked behind him at Taerel. He smiled and slightly blushed. He really liked her. He returned his gaze ahead of him and opened his back pack, taking out his gloves. He put them on, in case of a battle.

Amitia attended tightly the peaceful environment. She was last of the queue to keep an eye on everything. She relaxed, since there was no danger around, but kept her left hand on the hilt of the left katana. Weapons were hanging on her belt in their shelters, to be used quickly if there would come any problems.
Fresh air was a good sign. It would keep the group brighten up. Beautiful weather would also keep them motivated, and it would bring animals outside from their holes. It would be handy afterwards.

"So you cant swim?" Kai asked Skye, curriously as he trudged along. He made sure to note this. There where two non-swimmers in the group. Avoid water. Stepping into the shade, Kai looked up at the overhead ledge that hung over the entrance of the pass.

((I add/changed some stuff, so you might want to recheck his profile.))

Zero stood on cliff, overlooking most of the pass. From this location he could see almost all who entered. Ace stood next to him, slightly levitating in the air. "Zero, why do we have to steal?" Ace asked sighing. He hated stealing, mostly because he was a kind natured animal. He tightened the bandanna that was wrapped around his neck, as he looked up at Zero questioningly. "Because Ace...It's our way of life." he sighed patting Ace on the head lightly. Zero didn't really like stealing from innocent people either, he did it mostly just to live. Zero and Ace had become very good at it, and actually they rarely would get caught. If they did Zero would shoot some flames or pull out his sword, or Ace would do some energy blasts.

Taerel followed behind at a quick pace. She was greeted with an unfamiliar expression from Skye. She tilted her head slightly to one side and gave a blank smile in return, slightly confused. She quickened her pace to catch up with Kai, her pink hair trailing behind her and the large white ribbon in her hair flowing gracefully in the wind. Domeki followed directly behind her. She frowned slightly, her large purple eyes bright with determination. She put on a triumphant smile and turned around to the rest of the group.

Kai noticed Taerel closing in towards him. He felt a little more comfortable with her closer to the rest of the group. It would help keep her out of harm's way. It seamed quiet. A little too quiet. Kai looked around. Something was missing. But what? Thats when his eyes shot up to see Tyo hanging from the ledge above, holding his hand over his brows like a sailor in the crow's nest. "Tyo!" He shouted in frustration, as the black haired boy dangeled his legs down. "Hey, Kai! It looks like some one is up there!" Tyo informed, under a crackling smile. Kai shook his head and turned to where Tyo was facing. He didn't see anyone.

That noisy boy means nothing else but trouble, she thought, when she saw Tyo on the ledge.
Amitia also turned around out of curiosity, now clasping the hilt tightly.

Zero and Ace quickly hid behind a nearby tree before the boy could see them. "That was to close..We will need to be more careful." Zero sighed. He jumped onto a nearby branch and continued to go higher until he was as high as he could go without the branches breaking. Ace followed behind him, finding it much easier because of his weight. "When will we rob them Zero?" Ace asked as he played with his long ears. "Soon buddy...Soon." he said simply as he took out his telescope to watch them easier. There's so many... Zero thought while counting. "There must be 4 or 5 of them down there..." Zero estimated. This indeed would be difficult.

"Tyo, theres no one up there. Get down from there..." Kai said dryly, feeling like a kindergardener teacher telling a kid to get off a shelf.

Tyo closed his eyes and gently smiled, then released himself from the ledge in a twelve foot drop. Kai flinched a bit, as a drop from that distance would normally resault in a broken leg. But Tyo came down with a thud, bending his knees appropriatly as he landed. My, how little you know, Kai. This should be fun. Tyo thought menecingly, deciding against saying anything.

"Eep!" Taerel let out, grasping the sleeve of Kai's jacket.

"Hmph!" she frowed at Tyo, letting go instantly. She frowned slightly and rest her left fist on her hip and pointed her right forefinger at Tyo. "That's not funny!"

The black fur on Domeki's back stood upwards, as his eyes darted around the area cautiously, paying close attention to the tree branches. He held back a low growl.

"Are you listening to Domo, Taerel?" Skye said flatly. He turned to the tree that Domeki was growling at. He slipped his hands into the pockets hidden on the side of his shirt. There, his plated fingers met a handful of grazers.

Candy walked slowly and peacefully about the crowd. The swaying of the tall grasses relaxed her and made her feel at ease.

Gracefully, she strode into the fields and welcomed the wind. Suddenly, she stopped and held her locket dearly. Something seemed wrong...

Turning around, she walked back towards the group. Something seemed unsettling, and Taerel's friend Domeki was growling at a tree.
