i ask this qestion because i note that in Eragon he says
"Boteq Istari"(or something like that)
which apparently means "broad fire" but broad fire in the ancient language would be something along the lines of
"Aenora Brisingr"
does any one know why Durza gets a different magic language to Eragon?

Considering that Durza isn't all that human ANYMORE... It's only normal to suspect that the shades themselves, or the persone Durza WAS, learned an other language that might have the same effect involving magic as the ancient language does... At least, that's the hypothesys I can up with. I might be aside the track, too. xD

Do not forget that Durza was a direct servant of Galbatorix, no doubt he knew much secret magic as well.

The book points out a difference between the ancient language and magic.
Magic is using the energy of spirits to do your work, which is what Durza did. If you preform a spell that is to powerful for you, a shade will take over your body.
When using the ancient language, on uses his own energy, and when a spell that is too strong one dies.
Correct me if I'm wrong. The different wording could be an accident by Paolini, seeing as he really got into the grammatics of the ancient language in Eldest.

Before he became Durza, he was a sorceror and summoned spirits. So I suspect, that when the spirit took over his body, that the spirit spoke a completly new language.

I agree, I highly suspect that the spirit that posessed Durza spoke a different language, and also, it is a completely different type of magic.

Kymmo says:
I hope that Paolini elaborates on the Shade language.
"Every action touches on some chord that vibrates for an eternity."

It probably is a different type of magic because he controls spirits. I think there needs to be another shade in the book to make it WAY more interesting AND it needs to be more powerful than Durza.

It would be funny if Paolini made a book in a shade's point of view.
It could be like Wicked: The Life and Times of the Wicked Witch of the West.

Good idea, but I do not think that he would write a book from a villains point of view. The title would also need six letters and begin with E, like Elderly rofl The demons that control shades must be really old.

It would actually would be pretty creepy if he actually wrote a book like that. He actually needs to make a sequel series to Inheritance to help us understand what happened before or after Inheritance.
