Here's a basic idea and display of the character bios.
*HERE YOU DISCUSS:
-Things that should be added to the bio
-How to improve it
-Personality of the characters
*Soon, there will be a thread dedicated to the characters people care about XD... Shirou Emiya, for me of course (lol), Archer, Tohsaka Rin, Saber, Rider, Iilya and I'll be making those. As for some of the others, they will have to be made by the members if they want a thread dedicated to that character. Some characters aren't really worth making a thread for, though, right? XD. In the future, sometime this week most likely, I'll put up some things for the characters. You'll be able to discuss all sorts of things and may even discuss things from the game to a certain extent.

Main Characters The pictures are currently being re-arranged on photobucket so they are more organized. For the convenience of the server (rofl), they have been removed until further noticed.~~~
Shirou Emiya
Shirou Emiya is the adopted son of Kiritsugu Emiya and the master of the servant Saber. He is an amateur magi who is only proficient in one area of sorcery; tracing. Following his father's footsteps, he wishes to be a "hero of justice", and save everyone, but soon realises that it is an impossible task. This leads to him being very much against the fighting involved in the grail war, but will fight to protect people. In fact, at the start of the war he refuses to participate, saying that he never wanted to be a part of it (which is true; Saber appeared unexpectedly when Shirou was attacked for the second time by Lancer, and Shirou had no idea what was going on.) However, when he discovers that this war often results and has in the past resulted in the destruction of many innocent people, he agrees to particpate in order to end the war for good.
He is famous amongst fans for his "harem" and frequently screaming "SEIBAAAAAH!!!"...as well as the infamous quote, "people die if they're killed."
Saber
Saber is the servant of Shirou - Credited as the best servant overall, her class is often granted to the strongest magi in the war; however, she ended up with the weakest of the seven, which turns out to be quite a surprise for everyone; it also affects Saber herself directly. Due to Shirou's inexperience as a magi, she cannot achieve her maximum capabilities, and finds herself unable to perform certain actions. As well as this, due to who she was when she was alive, she does not like to be thought of as a woman; she constantly refers to herself as Shirou's weapon, not a person. This annoys Shirou, and often he will attempt to fight in her place, despite the fact that she is more than capable of self defense, and he is only a disadvantage for her.
Also, she doesn't seem to be very up to date with modern traditions (though she does have a little experience due to a previous war) and often comes across as quite cold; however, she soon becomes less formal.
She is most famous amongst fans for things like her appetite and the single piece of her hair that's always sticking up like an antennae.
Tohsaka Rin
Rin is a model student at her school and both loved and hated as a result. However, she is also secretly a magi, and as a result of 4 years of informal training she has become a very powerful magi at that. She is the master of Archer; at first she isn't happy with this, as she was trying to summon a Saber class servant, however ended up accidentally calling Archer instead, but she adjusts quickly. She could be considered the strongest master in the grail war, however this technically is not quite true.
Often she is quite competitive and can seem cold and even just a little bit evil at times; she does however prove her warmer side, which is proved when she revives Shirou after he is killed by Lancer as a result of one of her fights. She also is very observant and intelligent, and is a skillful tactician, often planning and leading all her tasks carefully. She often prefers to use surprise tactics, to gain an instant advantage on the enemy.
Archer
Archer is the servant of Rin. He is a mysterious person overall, especially since when questioned by Rin about his true identity, he claims that he doesn't know due to to an imperfect summoning; his combat skills are not afflicted, however, his memory is.
He appears quite pessimistic and will often target Shirou, telling him that his beliefs are false; however he shows care for Rin, Saber, and even Ilya. However, in the end, Archer gives Shirou a vital piece of advice, which allows Shirou to become stronger.
Archer is proficient in tracing sorcery, to a very high level; he can reproduce noble phantasms, fire them as arrows from his bow (most commonly a slightly modified version of the sword Caldabolg, known as Caldabolg II). However, he will usually fight with two Chinese falchions known as KanshÅ and Bakuya, which when reinforced with tracing sorcery, extend in length and take on the appearance of tattered feathers.
Gilgamesh
Gilgamesh is not a servant of the current war, but instead a servant who survived from the last war as a result of being contaminated with the contenets of the grail. He is technically the servant of Kotomine Kirei, however he often acts against his master's will. This is often to go and see his rival of sorts, Saber; Gilgamesh wants to own all the treasures in the world, which apparently includes her. He doesn't hide his identity at all in the anime, revealing quite quickly who he is. He is an Archer class servant ,as revealed by Saber, who she seems to be intimidated by. Although, this fact doesn't prevent Saber from fighting Gilgamesh when they meet.
Gilgamesh's personality is often quite calm and arrogant; as "king of heroes" he is certainly very powerful, and whilst having an immense number of noble phantasms at his disposal, none of them really expose his true identity. He is also quite selfish.
Iilya
Iilyasviel Von Einzbern, or Iilya for short, is the master of Berserker. She is a young girl who moved from Germany with her two maids to fight in the grail war.
She connects easily with Shirou, and despite having attacked him and Saber (and very nearly killed them) they become very close; close enough that she refers to him as a brother.
Despite her cute demeanor though, she is a mischevious girl, and an intelligent tactician. As well as this, she apparently has the highest mana of any person in the grail war; this means that she has the potential to summon the strongest servant. (which she technically did, as Berserker is strongest.)
Throughout the series, Iilya is vital to the story, and grows close to Taiga and Shirou; even Rin and Saber, who are at first opposed to her living in Shirou's home, grow fond of her.

Side Characters
Sakura
Sakura Matou is a student at the same school as Shirou and Rin, and has visited Shirou's house to help with chores ever since his father died. They are very close friends. It's easy to see why, as Sakura is cute and soft, an all around nice person with good manners and a friendly demeanor.
She is also Shinji's sister, and unlike him, has a magic circuit; a rather powerful one at that. This, whilst meaning nothing to her, is very important to other people.
She appears frequently throughout the story, and is important to the main characters; however, she does not do much of importance for the story.

Shinji
Shinji Matou is Sakura's brother, and the master of Rider. Despite this fact, he doesn't actually have a magical circuit, and so it is surprising that he has a servant; this also prevents him transferring mana to his servant.
Shinji himself appears very briefly, and is an aquaintance of Shirou's. He is a cruel person, greedy and selfish, and also a pervert; however, he's also a coward, and certainly not very strong.
Overall, Shinji serves little purpose in the anime, and is not all that popular with fans either.
Rider
Rider is the servant of Shinji Matou. She is skilled in stealth and moves quickly and quietly. She doesn't show much personality in the anime, due to the fact that she has very little speech in the series. She doesn't even appear that much in the anime.
Rider is limited, meaning she cannot achieve her full potential, due to being Shinji's servant; shinji, despite coming from a family of magi, is not a magi at all. This means he cannot transfer mana to Rider, and so she has to fight carefully (hence her stealthy approach; she seems to do a lot of reconnaisance.
She fights with a pair of nails attached to chains. These weapons do not appear to have any mystical properties, but when used correctly are powerful regardless.
Caster
Caster is at first mistaken as the master of Assassin, but despite this being true, she is also a servant. A dark and mysterious woman, she hides behind a cloak at all times; she aims to take a magicians way to the grail, by using a catalyst body to summon it before it is ready, and take it's wish as her own.
Despite her dark scheming, she is actually very soft as she displays to her "master" Soichirou. When her hood is removed, a beautiful face is revealed (complete with cute pointy ears =D).
Caster class servants are credited for, as their name would suggest, spell casting and sorcery. As such, Caster is very powerful in terms of her magic, but is lacking in physical ability.
Lancer
Lancer does not appear often in the series, however does play a vital role both at the beginning and towards the end. His master is at first unknown, however it is later revealed that his true master is dead. He does not seem to have a purpose further than reconnaisance, but even then he doesn't stick to it properly, allowing himself to take part in battle when the chance arises; when Shirou witnesses Archer and Lancer in combat, he sets off to kill Shirou, succeeding once. However, Shirou is revived; when Lancer gives chase, he is fought off by Saber.
Lancer's weapon is, as his name would suggest, a lance. His class is credited for it's incredible agility.
Berserker
Berserker class servants are well known as the strongest servants of all; however, with the incredible physical power comes a disadvantage. The master quite often will have problems controlling their servant, and often end up killed by their servant.
However, this Berserker is Iilya's servant, and for some reason she has perfect control over him. However, he doesn't seem to have a properly functioning mind, and so cannot talk; he only talks properly at the time of his death. As a result, not a lot can be told about Berserker. However, it can be told that he cares for Iilya, and she cares for him too.
Kotomine Kirei
Kotomine is the head of Kotomine church. In the previous grail wars, his father was the overseer, and after his death, Kirei decided to take his father's place. He acts as the overseer in this war, which is unusual since he is part of both the order of magi's and the holy order, who are opposed to each other. He also acts as a long distance mentor to Rin.
His personality is somewhat intimidating, and he always seems very serious. He is always dark and he seems very mysterious right from the start (even Saber comments that his church is not a holy place upon their first visit), and this air of mystery and darkness is held right through till the end.

They're profiles are on Wikipedia too. I read almost all of the main character pages. There's a lot of info there not told in the anime. ^_^

um...only Bazett is missing (lancer's master)
but I was wondering if you plan to include fate hollow ataraxia,
fate zero, and fate realtu nua. Because then that has a lot of
other characters.
(I can post info on Bazett and image later--sorry i would do it
now but I have other things to do.)

We'll need sub-forums for those. I plan on having people donate money to the guild if they'd like a sub-forum put up, because right now I'm questing for something really expensive. However, yes. I do plan to include those. I just don't have any input on them, because I haven't seen those two. Make no mistake, I want to, so if you have any information on where I can go to see the episodes, let me know. ^-^ Lastly, of course, there will be three sub-forums for those. That as a whole is 7500g. I wouldn't donate it all in one piece. Just perhaps some here and there. If you're really that dedicated, you could XP!
On other terms, I knew I was missing someone, but I pretty much guessed that since I didn't remember them, they probably weren't worth remembering. XP... For the sensei, I just couldn't remember her name. If I put her up, I'd probably call her "Teacher" o_O; That's a very dull name.

Bazette is dead in the anime, and actually doesn't appear in Fate/Stay Night anywhere (She's dead there too. XP). She's one of the main characters in Fate/Hollow Ataraxia though.
Actually, no, I lie. She appears in the F/SN anime as the decapitated arm that Rin finds. sweatdrop
There are a few other characters missing actually, I only just noticed.
Soichirou : The teacher who acts as Caster's master. (I think that's his name. XD)
Assassin: Despite not doing much in the anime, he still plays a role and is a servant.
The sensei you mean is Fujimura Taiga (Taiga for short.)
I s'pose Kiritsugu Emiya's worth a mention too. =O
I can edit 'em in in a bit if you want. =)
