sad So About two weeks ago I ordered a Digitech Wah Synth Envelope Filter. I've been lookng forward to it soooooo much. So anywho it comes in the mail today and I try it out....it doesn't friken work. evil It worked for about 30 sec then the effect turned off and wont go back on...I'm sooo pissed.

Anything like this ever happen to you fellow bass players?

Can't say i've ever had that particular problem as I don't like ordering too much of my gear off the net (though I have ordered stuff before). Although i've had a multi effects processor not work right out of the box once (which also happened to be a Digitech), ended up just returning it to the store to get a new one and all was good from there.

Could always just email their customer service and tell them about your problem. I'm sure they will fix you up in jippy, unless you got it from one of those shifty sites.

What sort of payment did you use for it? Some credit cards will give you back full credit for purchases like that from sites or after buying something while on Vacation. Have you tried letting it charge up for a bit or something?

Ebay, used paypal. And why should I charge it? I put a brand new battery in it. It's still good. The Pedal works fine for about 3 minutes, then shuts off and the effect goes away....
Well anywho, once I return it and get another one, should I stick with Digitech, or get a DOD filter?

Digitech sucks a**...

I recomend never getting Digitech...

if you want good effects at a moderately cheap price... get an Alesis Midiverb and a midi pedal w/ expression...

may cost a little bit more than digi tech, but it's at least worth the investment...

rocktron just came out with a stomp processor that looks really kick a**... rocktron has never dissapointed me... but it's pretty expensive sweatdrop

I never had the problems as discribed in the thread. Its a good pedal, but I would prefer more control.

all digitech has a life of about 0 days to 2 years... they are made like crap... the first piece of equipment I ever got was a digitech multi effects pedal... it broke in like six months.. and it was when I first started playing... so it's not like it was getting abuse from me playing gigs and stuff... I hate digi tech... the effects sound like crap, it's made cheaply, and it's over all a p.o.s. company

but to each your own... I suggest saving yourself the hassel and the money and get something better
