Please make yourself at home, the houses are unfurnished, but warm and well ventilated. On the back of each map is a description of the area. Please take a look at this too.

Quinn I haven't had internet for awhile... like months... and so, I had no idea that I had won until I got the invitation today. At first, I was really confused. I thought that I was just being invited because I entered the contest and was considered a lurker. Then I saw that I had my own thread... I started to wonder if maybe, just maybe, the contest had been decided. My pulse began to race as I shuffled through the main thread in an effort to find information. When I saw what I was seeking, I passed out for awhile....Ullue ... Quinny-Chan for Speck! -- All of us were immediately taken by your entry and there was no argument whatsoever when it came down to deciding that Speck should, most definitely, come into creation. She's wonderfully unique, the chosen bird reflects her very well, and her story was wonderfully-dark without topping the angst-o-meter. We all look forward to meeting her. I dont even know what to say... my heart is still racing and I'm having trouble believing this is real.
Wow. Thank you.

or Spirit-luring... in a hatQuinn's home is a neat little structure tucked away in the portal clearing of Upper Kyendi. It sits flush to the main body of the tree with a natural stairway to the right conveniently located for hopping onto the flat, moss covered roof.
Two outdoor lounge chairs and a low end-table have been placed on the roof. A book rests in the seat of one and a half-full glass of iced tea rests on the table. Quinn must have been here recently.
An above-ground pond has been installed to the left of the front door of her home to house her large collection of koi as well as to provide a spot for her Walrus and Jellyfish should they visit.
A dustpan and broom and a mop and bucket lean against the front of the home in the nook made by the front wall and the stairway to the right. Glitter has been sprinkled in and around the curly-Q's adorning the front of the house -- at night, the light of the luminaries makes it sparkle.
Upon entry, it is evident that Quinn has done her best to make an inviting retreat. The main room has been meticulously decorated to provide an air of comfort and convenience. Bookshelves line the wall to the right. Books literally overflow onto the floor. At a glance, several titles are apparent: The Book of Three The Black Cauldron The Castle of Llyr Taran Wanderer The High King Parcifal Rides the Time Wave A Wrinkle in Time A Wind in the Door A Swiftly Tilting Planet Many Waters An Acceptable Time The Princess and the Goblin Where the Wild Things Are The Pokey Little Puppy as well as several other picture books To Kill a Mockingbird A mini refridgerator and freezer are adjacent to the bookshelves on the front wall of the dwelling -- perfect for midnight snacks! On the other side of the front door is a large trunk filled with toys:

A thick, shag rug occupies most of the floor space, and a low, square table rests on top of it. Art supplies, coloring books and other bits of fun are stored in baskets under the table. On top, sits the Relic. The rest of the floor is littered with cushions and pillows.
In the far left corner of the room, from one of the beams in the roof, dangles a large chair and a paper lantern.
Something about the chair's curved shape and pale yellow color is reminiscent of a banana. A few more pillows have been flopped into the seat. A lime green notebook with hot pink flying birds depicted on the cover has been tossed onto the hanging chair also. A hot pink pen has been secured in the spiral of the book.
Pebbles, marbles, paperclips, rubberbands, swatches of fabric and bits of string inhabit a pottery bowl on the corner of the table. A bit of mirror leans against it. These items are meant to intice a spirit, should one visit.
A jade plant and a christmas cactus live on top of one of the bookshelves. From between the leaves of the jade, a tiny creature peers at you. It is Gnash, another one of Quinn's charges.
A stack of blankets along the left wall complete the furnishings.
On the far wall, off to the right, is a doorway leading off to the other two rooms of the house. As you look down the hall, both doors are on your left.
The first door leads to a modest bathroom complete with a toilet, a sink, and a copper bathtub with shower-head attatchment. ((How they plumbed a tree, I'll never know!)) Although furnished with modern fixtures, the bathroom appears very natural. The walls and floors are wooden and bits of greenery hang everywhere. A circular window with cross bracings has been carved out of the tree above the bathub and sun glints off the copper. A basket of scrubbers and toys sits next to the tub. The mirror above the sink has been sand-blasted with a leaf and flower pattern. Clean towels hang from the rack and a candle sits on the tank of the toilet. Various toiletries are on a shelving unit that hangs on the wall.
The last room of the dwelling is Quinn's. After the trouble the hanging chair gave her comming through the portal, Quinn decided not to try to bring up a bed. Instead, she has piled two thick futon matresses in the far corner and tossed several blankets and pillows on top. The dwellings only other window is directly above the head of the bed. A night stand and lamp are next to the pallet. There is a small dresser to house her clothing and personal effects on the wall opposite the pallet. A long table takes up the only other wall and a tabletop easel surrounded by oil paints takes up one corner. The other is full of paperwork and office supplies.
Overall, the home gives off a safe and inviting aura. For added security, Quinn has placed a few charms and wards about the building. Any spirit should feel welcome here.

 Ullue
In an envelope issued from Rasu, you are informed that, due to remodeling and possible inavailability of certain shelves, she is unable to issue one to you officially at this time. However, she goes on to say that you are more than welcome to scout out your preferred living area in the tree and begin to gather and arrange items for spirit-luring when you've been given an official shelf to do so with. While no official luring can take place just yet, no reason you can't start to set things up, yes?
Make yourself at home, and watch out for sawdust and falling objects!
[shelf info: coming soon!]
I'm just so excited, that even this note saying nothing is happening yet, is special!

My Relic. It still takes my breath away...
 A spirit has arrived?

Wuto feigns disinterest about everything, and yet, he's ussually the first to volunteer to accompany Quinn, albiet bemoaningly, whenever she has anywhere to go. When Quinn announced to the family that they were moving to the Inn, Wuto grumbled and fussed, but was the first one packed. His personality being what it is, Quinn wont even try to predict how he will react to the relic. A Potion Pet and evil by design (though only slightly), Zane has a mischevious streak a mile long. Being that his favorite pastime is pestering Quinn, you can ussually find him latched onto one of her shoes, gnawing away. However, he is fiercely loyal and maternal (Quinn was suprised by that too!) He will likely be a fixture on the shelf... at least until he is satisfied that the little Ieldi can look after his or her self. Spoon is the newest member of Quinn's brood. He's a little... slow, but loveable none the less. He emminates love and good cheer and while he often trips on his ear flaps when walking, he never lets it get him down. He idolizes Wuto, though Quinn has yet to figure out why. Quinn feels he will be a bright spot in the lives of all those who hang around the Home Tree. Gnash was a gift to Quinn from her Uncle Max. He may look fierce, but he only has eyes for rocks and asparagus. Quinn decided to leave him on the shelf, figuring that his small stature (he is only 6 inches tall) would make him a perfect plaything for any spirit that may come.

November 15th When Quinn woke up this morning, a wonderful gift awaited her outside her door. There was a letter attached that read: Attatched Letter Dear Quinny-chan, While on my usual trip to the grocery store I stumbled on the cutest little store, and couldn't help but pick up some things for the lucky gals that won the contest. I don't know but I felt out of the four things I bought, this one should go to you. It just seems to work doesn't it? Hope it brings a nice spirit to your relic, ~Zydeco Smiling at the gift and making a mental note to say thank you to Zy, Quinn tucks the lamp into the box of goodies set aside for her home. January 17th Quinn received a small package wrapped all in brown paper from Tragicity today. The attatched card read: Attatched Card Dear Quinny-chan, I've made a variety of gifts for the Ieldi and their keepers, and this one is for you. It's hand-made of soft cloth, and it's also pretty much childproof so you don't have to worry about it being destroyed or anything. I don't quite know why, but somehow it just seemed right that this particular present should go to you, so here it is. I hope to meet you and your Ieldi sometime in the future. ~ Tragicity Opening the gift, Quinn reveals: With a smile, Quinn puts the little plush on one of the bookshelves and sits down to write Trag a thank you note.

Name: Quinn Age: appears to be 24, but who can say for sure... Totem Animal: fox Sex: *blush* ...female Eye Color: blue Hair: red and disheveled Personality:Sassy, a**l-retentive, loud, arty, witty, "mother hen", loyal, opinionated, klutzy, mischievious, moody, sweet and giving to a fault Mate: Brian (non-gaian) Children: 0_0 none! Likes: ALIAS (even gaians need a little tv), stripedy socks, food (especially if its skittle flavored!), bubbles, the moon, breedables, plushies, my shearling boots!, her tail Dislikes: Art Thieves, idiots, running out of pomade, falling down Favorite Color: Shades of black, red and blue... at least as far as fashion is concerned. Those colors look best with her fur! Favorite Food: Well, its more of a food group, but Desserts! Favorite Book: Where the Wild Things Are by Maurice Sendak Favorite Animal: Giraffe Favorite Bird: Saw-whet Owl, of course! Talents: A profinity to magic, though she is best at smaller charms and wards. She does have a few ... bigger tricks up her sleeve, but only uses them when she or a loved one is in dire need. Appearance: Light of skin and blue of eye, her ears and tail belie many of the emotions that she would rather keep hidden. A funky sense of style is evident in her dress and one is never sure if her glasses are a part of that style or if they serve a higher purpose... Her hair never looks the same twice, yet it is always attractive, if disheveled. IC Life: Quinn is a bit of a mystery, choosing to keep many of the details of her life private. Yet, it is known that she has a loving heart and a giving spirit. Her home is shelter to many creatures and she is always looking for more to take in. It is also no secret that she has an affinity to magic. However, she often doesn't have control of the outcome of her larger spells. She ussually just sticks to smaller wards and charms as well as the odd, mysterious light spell. OOC Life: Sarah is 24 and lives in Iowa. She majored in Art and Theater, though she has yet to complete a degree. Currently, she is a Fitness Technician.

Attention For now, I would prefer that noone posted. Ieldi spirits are fragile, and I would not wish for them to be disturbed or frightened.
The only people who may post are the Kyendi Luminaries. They are the staff of Kyendi, and are listed on the front page of the thread.
PM me if you have anything to drop off. All Ieldi Owners All Ieldi Staff Anyone dropping off presents or happiness! (This should only take one post, please.)
If you want permission, just PM me! I like people!

Journal Nov. 29
I had an eventful day today. Got fired, so I went to the marketplace to buy some presents for the other Ieldi owners. Once the other newbies (like me) get their relics and such, I will find presents for them too!
I can hardly wait to pick a shelf and get my relic. I have so much stuff waiting to decorate! Hopefully some of the spirits hang out near the lower branches... I'm not too keen on heights...

Journal Dec. 4
I heard a rumor that Valesti, one of the recently awakened Pantheon, is none other than the Beast who destroyed the Ieldi in their previous lives. And if not that, he was at least partnered with the Beast.
I'm starting to wonder if bringing an Ieldi into this world is a good idea. My heart tells me yes, tells me that love can conquer all things ... but, my head tells me no, at least until Valesti can be stopped.
I've started to learn some more powerful wards than the ones I ussually employ. While I know that the Pantheon has probably got the Tree protected to the gills, I'd feel better if I knew I had done all I could to protect my little ones.
Oh, Light. I hope they all are ok...
