I'm looking for input on what to do next. I'd like to try another RPG... maybe push this into a discussion guild as well.

For instance, the main forum would be for discussion.

Then, I'd do a couple of 50/50 style fundraisers to get subforum funds. The subforums would include roleplaying, other Gundam series discussions, fan works, and cosplaying/conventions.

What do you all think?

works for me... I'm questing on this account, so I can't donate much... but my other two accounts have been donating.

I like the idea of an RP focused guild. The risk is great - if the RP fails, so does the guild. However, a full-guild RP can also blossom into something truly great, I've seen it personally with another guild I'm in. Thing is, we'll need to get alot of dedicated members if we want to try it. We should probably make the OOC subforum early on too, since people will always have some craziness they'll want to work out. We could start off with one or two RP subforums, and maybe a discussion and/or OOC subforum. That is, if you want to try a full-guild RP.

Well... I might just have to start doing a few fundraiser contests to get this moving then.

Now... for ideas on an RPG.

I've been trying to get something going based on the Preventor 5 manga. We all know the best laid plans don't always work out, and the manga merely shows them planning the rescue, not actually carrying it out. It would be interesting if we could get a twist on it.

Of course, that requires certain characters to be played since they're shown in the manga.

Well... required characters are:

Preventors:
Heero
Duo
Trowa
Quatre
Wufei
Sally
Other Preventors? (do we need more back up later? original characters?)

Partygoers:
Une
Relena
Dorothy
Mariemeia
ESUN President (He has a name, I just never remember it)
Random partygoers (original characters & NPCs)

Leader (whatever his name was, I'd have to go look to see if he even had one)
Random terrorist group members (original characters & NPCs)

(see explaination below for these two and why I think they're required)

Optional, but Desired as they can assist the Preventors with their skills:

Plot:

Important ESUN gov't officials are having a birthday party for Relena in the former Sanc Kingdom Palace. Dorothy, Une, Mariemeia, and the ESUN President are among the guests.

A group calling themselves "Epyon de Telos" storms in with guns and takes everyone hostage. Relena makes eye contact with one of the terrorists, a man with long, almost white hair, wearing a bandana over his nose and mouth and a pair of sunglasses.

Sally and Wufei discuss options and time limits. Sally wants to know how many Preventors they can mobilize in time for a rescue. Wufei says he only needs a team of 5, maybe 6 if she wants to go on the mission. He tells her to find the other four Gundam pilots.

The two of them make the rounds. Wufei finds Quatre and Trowa, Sally finds Duo. Heero shows up at Preventor headquarters in Brussels on his own in response to what's happened. Duo and Trowa case the Palace and return with a report. Quatre draws up a plan, as well as a back up plan. The plans are described in full in the manga, and then the group takes off to carry it out.

The manga ends there.

The mysterious blonde man, why he makes a connection with Relena, and the name of the terrorist group are never explained. However, those clues lead me to believe that it may be Zechs/Milliardo/whatever identity he's using at the time. Last we see of him and Noin, they're headed for Mars at the end of Endless Waltz to participate in the terraforming project.

What happened? Is it really him? Where's Noin? Are they still working for the Preventors?

Optional characters are just that... optional. However, I believe a few of the Maguanacs and Hilde could be useful to the Preventors in their own way and would probably help if asked.

Hilde's a known (and skilled, I might add, to have been able to crack Libra's system) hacker. She's also a fairly good MS pilot, and handles the business end of the Sweepers salvage yard she and Duo run together. She's clearly more brains than fight, but she's definitely useful.

The Maguanacs... well... they're soldiers and MS pilots, and carry a fierce loyalty to Quatre. They might not even wait for a request to show up with help if the hostage situation lasts more than a day after Quatre ditches his office job for the mission.

I have also seen and read some of these Yaoi Gundam Wing on fan sites. It's so-so true about this, but the creators did not want to destroy the Gundam view so they never did make them have those types of relations.

In the end Duo has a girl in fact in the last few episodes he shows how important she is to him. Quatre well never show much about him, but he starts to show something in interests in women with that crazy blond chick that he fenced with. Trowa has that one girl in the circus, she shows the sister relationship but shows more affection to him. Wufei well he is ... he works with Sally now preventing war. Out of all the Gundam Pilots he never had the yaoi going for him. Finally Heero; He is an assassin. Assassin's don't get close to others for a reason, but he shows it to Relena.

Now that all that is said, how would you have a story line that breaks apart the ending of EW's, maybe other than off the manga, but playing off the manga is still a good idea.

Maybe I'll throw out some ideas not based on the manga.
