... is not a member of the band. He is a "guest" musician.

That's what they call him, out of respect to the former bassists, but essentially he's still a member of the band. He's been with them for 7 years, after all.

I agree with Jomei. At best, he should be listed as a "support member," which they refer to him as in 9/16, I believe it was.

A full member would be included in photoshoots, all PVs (He's been in... what? One PV?), interviews, etc. Jun is frequently excluded.
He's being screwed in a way, but I guess that's the Japanese culture. Plus, it's really funny.

I, personally, have grown to care less on the political correctness of his title in the band, I consider him a member despite the fact he isn't included in all the background s**t. Being with a band for seven years has to mean something more than a mere guest.

As I've pointed out, however, it is more than just a "politically correct" title. the pillows deliberately leave Jun out of band photos, interviews, and the like. That indicates to me a wish on their part to distinguish full members from guest musicians, and I think we ought to respect that.

It makes sense, though. Terminal Heaven's Rock has a bassline intro. It wouldn't make sense to have a player-less bassline that's so central. Notice that he wasn't in Sono Mirai wa Ima, Nonfiction, or the Third Eye. 3nodding

Nope, he's just in that one. Well, he's in the new Hybrid Rainbow video for the Lostman Go to America, but that's because it's live.
He is a "guest musician." Yes, he records and tours with them, but he has not been granted status as a member of the band. What Jomei has said is correct, he is often excluded probably because of this distinction. stare

It's true. It's in the new Jun's diary on their new site.
