Vote in the poll for which you prefer, The Realms or Middle Earth. Then leave a comment about why you prefer one or the other. To be honest I just had to ask since they are both so big and popular.

I've only seen LOTR's i haven't really read the books, so all I can say is that I like The Realms, because the beggining of the first of the Realms I read (Homeland) caught my attention more than the Hobbit did.

The Realms are more evolved, since there are a lot of people involved in them

Well, Middle earth is interesting, but The Realms is just way cooler. It has many more thinking beings(I cant think of the term at the moment) and that seems like it would provide greater adventures (woot for Dragons!)

no...that is a race. I mean in the sense that they are not animals( cows, bears, rabbits, squirrels etc etc) but rather they can think logically and reason, maybe the term is reasoning beings

No, humans are a race.
Anyway, on to the topic of this quiz... Personally, I find Tolkien's writing incredibly boring... The Realms are extremely versatile and, as someone else mentioned, there are several writers that add to the world as opposed to the just one.
The Realms are more... dynamic, I suppose is the correct word, because those who initially got into the series were D&D gamers, and found appeal in the novels mostly due to the fact that it was a universe which runs generally in a way that they are used to.

The realms are just more fun, they have more creatures, more powerful spells, more indepth storys and a much larger span of time, you can pick up books about the netherese(cant spell...) then you can pick up books that are about 2 thousand years after, the realms far surpasses Middle earth by a lot. sry if i rambled on a bit, i just have fun typing sometimes^^;;

FR has 100% of the votes... I think you might be projecting your poll to a biased audience...
