 A small, yellow bird was hopping across the frost-bitten ground towards a grove of elm trees, his little green eyes watching out for any predator around. He wasn't as nervous as a bird might have been, all alone at the base of a mountain, where lynx and other predators made their homes. The reason was that he had a special freind who was alseep not far away. A large wolf by the name of Khaliki.
Majuzi made his way towards the small den him and his friend had been calling home for about a month. The large wolf was asleep, quietly dreaming. Juzi smiled and hopped onto the creatures head, pecking at him. "Wake up! Wake up!" He squaked, hopping up and down on Khals head and flapping his wings. "It's midmorning, you big lazy bum!" He jumped off the wolfs head just has a paw reached up to aswat at him., Ruffling his feathers with a huff, Juzi flew up into a tree and began to clean his feathers.
"Remind me again why I saved you from that lynx?" Khal mumblked, rubbing his head. He yawned and stretched, then shook himself off to get himself more awake. Turning from his den he began to wander towards the small pond not too far away, and Majuzi soon joined him, flying over his head and talking about the sights he had seen so far that day.

Winter, like probably anyone else who had been awake bright and early, was out for a brisk sort of.. walk. If you could call it a walk. Actually it was.. more like a funny cross between a hyper jog and sprint, to be precise. With her nose fixed to the ground and her tongue hanging out of her mouth, the white colored she-wolf fumbled along through the forest.
"Water, water.. what's a girl to do with water?" She mumbled, through a sort of laugh. "Mmmn.. such wet.. watery.. clear.. WATER!"
The female was rather off like a shot, those blue eyes of hers stuck on the pond up ahead. It took.. perhaps thirty seconds or less before she was at the shoreside. "Mmmn! Nummy! I've been waiting for you aaaaall night long!" The girl grinned, nodding quickly before her head dipped and tongue drooped towards the surface. Although she only got in a few laps before her eyes caught another movement from the side. Hmn? With a quick quirk of her head, Winter found herself staring at a large sort of figure. So.. familiar.. Hmn.
Geh, and what was that noise? Skawking and jibbering on and on and on.. feh. That needed to stop, maybe? Oooh but who /was/ that.. for a moment her whole world stopped, searching through backlogs and memories. Hmn.
OH!
"KHAAAAAL!" She finally squealed, suddenly deciding to ignore the water, assuming that the wolf only a fair distance off was much more interesting. Off at another sprint, the white colored female bounded full-speed at the oncoming male.

((xD I'm pretty sure they have met before~ I love her. xDD))
Khal's ears perked up as he heard the familiar voice, and his head bent to one side curiously. "What in the world is-" Majuzi was cut off with a squak as he noticed the white figure was pretty much charging them. He took off from Khals back as the dark wolf braced himself.
Khal dodged the running femme with agility surprising for his age. He chuckled loudly and smiled at her. "Why hello again, Winter." He said, sitting down and looking up at the bird who nestled himself into a tree. "Come on down, Majuzi, She won't hurt you." He said with another chuckle. "I'd like to stay up here, thanks, and keep my feathers and my life intact!" Khal shook his head as Majuzi ruffled up hism feathers, mumbling to himself about one thing or another.
Khals kind eyes went back to the white wolf before him and he offered another kind smile. "How have you been? Good, I hope?"

(( Haha, XD; I thought so, < 3 Wasn't sure, o-o S'been a while, < 333; And rofl, XD She's a nutter, D8; *bops her* Khal's so normal compared to her, D8 ))
"Oooooooh my gosh it's been so long! It's been forever since I've seen you! What's up?! How ya been? What's shakin'? What's happenin?! What's--- OOF!" The girls yapping was rather quickly shut up, most assuredly by the sudden slam into the ground after attempting to pounce poor Khal, and failing miserably as he ducked and scooted out of the way.
"Heeeeey.." She mumbled, ears falling back as she shook her head in recovery. "That's cheating! C'mere!" Winter was most certainly one of the most persistant ones in the forest, and was never satisfied until she'd gotten in at least one good tackle. Scrambling to all fours, the female quickly scuttled towards Khal, quickly trying to get that second bounce in before snapping lightly at an ear or two before getting around to answering his questions. "Ooooh I've been good. Bored, busy, whatever. Good! Brilliant, even. But.. still.. little bored. Ah well. What about you? Any girls y'find for your fancy? Guys? Beavers? Birds?...Fish? Anything? Hungry? We could go hunting or.. or.. fishing! We could play! Or.. something? Anything! There's lots of stuff to do when there're two in on it, not just one! Makes it that much more inter---" Rather quickly Winter piped down, ears quirking rather quickly.
"Ooooh is that that thing that was making that aweful racket?" She suddenly commented, directing all attention and action towards the yellow colored bird in the canopy. With her back legs coiling like springs, Winter launched upward, trying to get at the squawking critter with her forepaws.

Khal's mind kind of went blank as the questions bombarded him. He grinned as she tried to tackle him again, falling prey to her this time. He laughed and shook his fluffy head. "No, no. I've been traveling around by myself, pretty much." He said, shrugging again. "I've been good, though." He laughed again as her attention was dicerted to the bird. Short attention span. Forgot about that. He thought to himself with a chuckle. He scratched at an itch behind his ear as he introduced them.
"Winter, Majuzi. Majuzi, Winter."
"Get away from me! You crazy heap of wolf-flesh!" He squaked at her and flew to a higher branch. "Is that creature your friend?" He asked Khal, a disgusted look on his face. "Pathetic! No wonder you travel alone, if that's the comapny you keep." He puffed out his feathers and stuck his head up.
"Majuzi," Khal said with a stern look. "Be nice. She's just... happy." He shrugged and looked back to Winter. "So, how about you? Any males caught your fancy?" He asked, smiling as he made hisn way down towards the water again.

Yay! She wins! Happy to have won the pouncing game, Winter couldn't help but move on to trying to catch that ear of his. But with her attention now on the bird.. well. Although she couldn't help but laugh at his comments while he remained up on that branch of his.
"Ooooh? Crazy heap of wolf-flesh? You're just jealous because all you have is feathers and no fur!" She grinned, still keeping that bit of happy laughter in thought. "So you're friends with Khal? Been with him long? Hunt together? Play together? Did he try to hunt you and then you opened your little rackety beak at the last second to change his mind or did something else try to eat you and happy Khal saved you? Answers answers! You're too slow, silly creature. WATER!" She yapped, ignoring the bird rather suddenly as Khal began to meander off towards the pond.
"I was searching for water all this morning, y'know? Yea! And I finally found it! But y'know what? It's coooooold.. so we can't.. really go swimming. Which is a bummer! Cuz in the summer I tooootally could've like.. shoved you in and it would've been so much fun! But no, cuz it's cold out here and it's kinda chilly in there and peh. Ruins everything! And nope! No guys for me! None of 'em are cute enough, I'll tell ya. They're either too normal, or too boring, or too grumpy, don't like to play, don't like to fish, don't like do much of anything but SIT and sleep. How boring is that, y'know? So I'm like.. oh my gosh reality check please! Use it or lose, it, right? Yea. So I leave. Too boring. All these guys around here, boring. Guys are stupid, yep. All of 'em. Although you're pretty nice yourself. But that bird of yours, ugh. Doesn't like much of anything does he? Nope! Nope! Didn't think so! But y'know what? It's okay! Cuz.. cuz.. yea!" She nodded vigorously before shoving her head clear straight into that water for a moment or two.
"Y'know it really isn't that cold? Yea! For winter it kinda is warm. But hey, go figure!" Winter nodded again before giving a quick shake to the skull, sending only a small amount of water flying, considering that it was merely her head that was covered with the liquid.

Majuzi huffed and flew over the two of them, perching on a brach above the water and settling down to clean himself. Hmmph. Stupid she-wolf. He thought, puffing up his feathers again as the wolves chatted below.
Khal laughed and nodded a bit to her. "Well thanks, I think. Though not all males are boring." He said with a flash of a grin. "You just need to meet someone nice, who likes to play and have fun. If I meet anyone like that I'll send 'im your way." He chuckled once more and got a drink of the mild water. "It isn't that cold, actually." He said. With a sudden grin he backed off a few paces, then sprinted towards the water and leaped into the air. He landed with a loud splash into the water, sending a wave at Winter.

"Nope, nope. All boring, honest. Every. Last. One of 'em." She grinned, again, nodding. "Pssssh. Not /that/ cold? It's kinda cold. But kinda not. So it's all good! Great for drinking only, m'hm. Eh? Hey!" Winter squeaked, with a sudden spray of water taking a swing at her. "See there you go again with you're cheating! Besides! You'll get Mr. Cranky feathers up there wet! Poor wittle birdie got his feathers all fluffled and ruffled.. you'll never hear the end of it, honest! Two days from now he'll be complaining," She commented, dropping her voice to a low, somewhat manly mock."You and that /giiirl/.. splashing in water.. getting /me/ all wet! How daaaaare you.. took me hours to dry those feathers out. Couldn't fly for ten minutes! I sweaaar if you ever.. I'll just.. peck your head in because I'm so darn tough and.. and.." Hmn. Yeap.
Poor Khal. He'd never hear the end from this bird. She could tell.
Instead of jumping in herself, she decided to sit quietly, sinking a paw into the surface and deciding to merely flick water at the male if and when he decided to pop back up for air. Not that it'd help, since he'd be all wet.

Khal broke the surface and heard her talking about Majuzi. He started laughing, and found he was unable to stop for quite a while. Especially when she immitated him. "You sound just like!" He said, still laughing as he swam to shore. He shook off, trying not to get her wet. "Well that was refreshing." He said with a grin, still chuckling from her comments. "She's only just met you, but she has you figured out very well!" He called up to Majuzi, knowing this would anger the bird.
And angry he was. "You just shut that big trap of yours, wolfy!" He called down at her, his feather ruffling once again. He didn't comment on the fact that Khal had indeed gotten him wet. He shook off his feathers and flew down at them. "Yoiu think you can make fun of me 'cause you're bigger? Huh? HUH?! I can take you! Come on, come on!" He started hopping around Winter, fluffing out his feathers and spreading his wings. "Oh yeha, big tough wolfy! I'm scared now, oooohh!"

Winter was amused that Khal had gone with it like he had, considering the temper of the bird. For a moment she watched him, eyes following him very closely while that grin remained smacked across her face. "Wolfy? Oooh, no, no, dear bird. I have a name and though wolfy's close, it's not quite it." She nodded quickly, still grinning.
"Oooooh look Khal, the silly bird wants to take on the /wolfy/. It wants to play with me! See? Hope it doesn't bend a feather or clip a claw.. hmmmn. How dreadful." She laughed, watching Majuzi hip-hop around her while her tail wagged back and forth. "And no! I wasn't making fun! I was pointing out that you're cranky, and instead you should be much, much happier!" She grinned, immitating the birds hippity motion with her paws excitedly. "Well.. I suppose.. you're a little small to tackle.. maybe.. with a paw.." She giggled as her front half lowered to Majuzi's eye level while her rump hung mid-air, tail swinging to and fro with glee. Quickly she jabbed her paw out as the critter circled around, trying to poke at the bird with a front paw. Finding that didn't quite work, she completely flopped to the ground, and decided to rather roll onto her back, and instead snapped at Majuzi as he passed. "This is a fun game! Y'should join in, Khal! I like this.. what do you call it?" She grinned, wiggling silently back and forth.

Majuzi was not a happy bird. He began snapping at her paws as she tried poking him. "Stupid creature! You don't deserve to waste my time!" He said, glaring daggers at her. He took another snap at her before he flew into the air, circling around. "Try and get me now!" He called down, grinning. He took a swooping dive at her, then thrust a claw out at her head before soaring back into the air.
Khal shook his head, trying not to laugh. He didn't want to make the situation worse. "Oh come on you two, enough of this." He said with a smile. "Can't we all just get along?" He said with a chuckle. He laid down, shaking off the rest of the water from his head, as Majuzi perched in a tree and turned his back to the two with a huff.

"Ooh.. ouch, hey.. that's not very nice. Games aren't supposed to be for hurting.. they're for playing!" Winter giggled, jerking back her paws as they were snapped and bit at. "Oh come now.. cranky thing stop trying to bite me!" She mumbled, a brow quirking as she rolled and scrambled to all fours, only a few moments after Majuzi had taken flight. Despite that Winter had ducked the sudden swoop, that claw of his still managed to catch just a bit of the top of the girl's head.
"OUCH! Hey! Knock it off you dumb thing!" She yapped, a quick jolt of pain running through her skull. "Jeez.. claws aren't to be used in playing.. dangerous things, claws." Winter mumbled, taking a paw and running it over the top most portion of her skull before pulling it back and staring at the bit of red colored liquid. Wasn't much, but still. "Drat. Do you have any idea of how much it takes to keep a coat like this /WHITE/?? Meh.." She grumbled, licking that same paw and again ran it across the bit that the birds claw had caught. "So's that thing your friend, Khal? Not a very friendly one, is it." Yes. She would refer to Majuzi as an /it/. It was Winter's own way of degrading a creature, even if it was lame.
"And it was the one that started it," She added tastefully, quirking her head and shooting a rather childish stuck out tongue face at Majuzi, in regards to Khal's "let's all get along" comment.

Khal laughed, shaking his head. "Yeah, he's my friend. He's not very nice, but he's a good soul once you get to know him. And he... stops trying to bite you." He Laughed nervously, looking at the ground for a few moments before looking back up at Winter. "Are you alright?" He asked, walking over and looking at her head. "It doesn't seem too deep. That was mean, even for Majuzi." He sent a warning glance up at the bird. He knew he was eavesdropping.
"Anyway, what have you been up to, Winter? It's been a while." He said, laying down next to the water and lapping at it a bit. "Have you been traveling?"

"Friend, not nice, good soul. I might be crazy, but that's just wacked," Winter retorted quickly, cocking her head. "Haha. And not that deep? Just a claw. But.. it'd.. be easier if I could.. see it.." She grumbled, turning silently in place as if sure that eventually, if she turned enough, that the top of her head would just magically appear in sight. "Whaaaatever. It's what water's for, right? Yea. Kinda. I guess. Maybe not, but oh well. It'll just be kinda.. bloodied up a bit."
Quietly the female flopped to the ground, dipping the very tip of her paw into the water as a tester. "Hmn." With not another word, the girl ducked her head into the ponds, shook it around a bit, and popped back up for a gasp of breath. "Seemed warmer the first time," She sighed, again taking a paw and trying to smooth out the bit of fur where the claw had caught.
Finally calmed down for a bit, or so it seemed, Winter settled down near Khal. "Oooh, the usual. Which is nothing. Yea. Pretty boring unless y'run into someone familiar. All the strangers are grumpy." She muttered, eyeing the water carefully as she continued. "And nah. No traveling. What's the point? There're all these crazy new pack and junk. Who wants to run into them, seriously. Just as grumpy about trespassers as stranger are with other strangers. What about you? Haven't seen you in ages. What've you been up to? And where on earth did you dig up that cranky old bird? Fishie!" She grinned, driving both paws into the water, but missing the scaley creature.

((xDD yay~ I hope youfeel better luff. D: ))
Khal smiled and shrugged a bit, one of his large paws folding over the other. "Not all packs are bad. Do you know Phib and Amelie? They're both very nice." He said, cleaning off his paw. "The pack I came from was pretty nice, as well." He stopped himself from speaking more of them, and looked away to the water. He stared at his reflection for a few moments, then back to Winter, his smile a fraction weaker than it had been.
"Though I'll never see them again." He looked over to her as she spoke, smiling once again. "Oh, him? I saved him from a lynx. Poor little guy looked so scared. He was all alone, too. So now he travels with me." He leaned over and whispered to her, "I think he just uses me as a body guard now." He grinned and chuckled.
