After having a huge breakfast, Goku tracked down the most unfamiliar energy signature on the planet, knowing it was his opponent for the tournament. Within a couple of seconds, Goku used Instant Transmission to teleport near the battle area.

"Whoo-wee! Chi Chi sure knows how to make a Saiyan full!" Said Goku in his usual cheery attitude. "Wonder who my opponent will be. I seem to remember the people calling him 'Super . . . something', can't remember the full name. Anyway, I'll find out soon enough."

Goku then paced around the area, patiently waiting, knowing his opponent was close by.

The Saiyan sensed the unusual power coming closer, and decided to approach it. Soon enough, Goku landed about ten metres away from his caped opponent. He then casually walked over to the announcer - after Superman had talked conversed with him - with his hands folded behind his head. "Hey there. So . . . do you know who my opponent is?" Said Goku to the announcer, hoping that he could fill him in.

" 'Fraid not, Goku. I don't know much about this guy. Hell, I've never even seen him before. But don't worry pal. If you can take Piccolo, I know you can take this guy!" Said the announcer with a whisper. He also had a bias on Goku's side, seeing as he thought of Goku as the most powerful person in his books.

The Saiyan then leaned in to whisper back to the announcer. "Well, the fight with Piccolo was many decades ago. We both have progressed a lot since then. I just hope it's enough to take on this guy."

Goku then decided to greet his newly arrived opponent. Jogging towards him, Goku gave a big smile with a wave. "Hiya! My name's Goku. What's yours?"

"I'm ready whenever you are." Said Goku with excitement, as he turned to the announcer.

"You guys are good to go. Just start whenever you're ready. Now if you don't mind, I'll be keeping my distance." Said the announcer, popping open a capsule with a one-person jet inside, as he flew many miles away . . . far enough to give both fighters all the space they needed.

"I guess we're all set then. This is going to be awesome!" Said the Saiyan, as he jumped fifty meters back into a fighting position. Time to get serious. As for now, I'll believe the rumors about him, just for safety. Wonder if he'll push me as far as Buu did . . .

Still deciding not to judge his opponent off of what he was displaying at the moment, Goku caught one punch in his right hand, and used it to spin to the side, dodging the second punch. The Saiyan then bent down and attempted to kick upwards into Superman's stomach.

Being honest as usual, Goku replied. "Well, let's see . . . my pal Piccolo once shot a hole through my chest, broke my leg, and shot a hole through my arm all at the same time. My friend Vegeta also took a hit from one of my most powerful ki blasts. Good thing it was shot into the air. I wouldn't have wanted to destroy the planet! I'm sure I could take the same kind of hit. Vegeta and I have been even in many aspects for most of our lives!" Said Goku with a smile, as he causally placed one hand on the back of his head.

"What about you?" Said Goku, also curious, as he got back into his fighting position, allowing Superman to know he was ready to fight once more. The Saiyan then jumped fifty meters above the Man of Steel, and aimed one palm directly below. "Haaa!" Roared Goku, as he fired a blue ki beam down at his opponent.

((Yes, it was a basic one. If it's strong I will specify so.))

Suprised by the jump in punching strength and speed than before, Goku merely managed to catch the punch with both hands, sending him a good distance away, about one-hundred metres.

As the Saiyan was slowing down from the punch, he quickly straightened himself out, making his body parallel to the ground below. With a loud boom from the distance, Goku hurled at the Man of Steel with a blue ki aura surrounding him, as well as greater speed than before. As Goku neared the Kryponian, he spun around with his leg out, aiming to smash his heel into his opponent's back.

((No, not yet. Again, I will specify all actions Goku does.))

Having experienced attacks in which tossed various object at him, Goku was prepared for this. Goku flared up his aura, as he began to dodge some objects, and blasting other ones with rapid-shot ki blasts. However, the speed and quantity of objects was too much, and the Saiyan was eventually hit by some rocks that knocked him off balance, sending him slamming into the ground.

As Goku got up and brushed himself off, he thought to himself - I shouldn't take this guy lightly. Still, I should wait until I use more power. The Saiyan then crouched down, and bent his forearms. "Kaioken . . . times ten!" Roared Goku, as a huge storm of red ki began to surround the Z Fighter. He then stood tall, as he began to fly in the distance with rapid speed, leaving trails of red ki behind as he flew. Goku then began to surround the tornado-engulfed Superman, and started to fly in circles around him. Within a few seconds, Goku had charged up ki spheres in each hand, and began to fire them at the Kryptonian. Following the two ki blasts came a barrage of many more, all aimed at the energy signature in which Goku had sensed.
