Well I just got back from Episode III. I thought it was great! Oh, there were some imperfections, like the dialogue, but really if I am not critical it was an awesome movie. I am going to have to go back and watch it again for all the stuff I missed this first time.
Going to see it? Seen it? What did you think?

[psudo-eliteist? rant forthcoming]
I haven't seen it yet [that's enough of a shock xD;] I've already decided that I'm not going for the plot, or dialouge. Lucas has his own vision and that's just fine with me. He, however, is not a writer. His dialouge feels shallow to me and seems to echo the quality of FFN fanfic. I realize the love story is central, but he doesn't structure it well, and his directing of Hayden Christiansen only serves to make the great Darth Vader come off as a whiny teenager.
The battles thus far have been top-notch, and that is what Lucas should be doing. This series was not produced for the sake of excellent and believable acting, but it was made to tell a story in a different universe and time. That...is what has stuck with audiences. Older fans remeber to story of Han and Leia. If one watches thos movies now - it becomes clear just how bad some of the dialouge is. I consider Harrison Ford to be a better actor that Hayden Christensen, and I believe that Ford carries his character better. As I have stated before: the profromace that Christensen gives seems shallow in comaprison, even at the crucial moment when he becomes Darth Vader [so I've heard]. I am eager to see this movie, but I will be watching is for the Old Man Battles, rather than the love story of Padme and "Annie".

[NoM] I WENT TO THE MIDNIGHT SHOWING OF IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I went for the midnight showing as well. I think it was amazing, I think Lucas' ability to show the dark side in all it's dark glory was just perfect. Best ~$20 I spent all year (Gaia donations notwithstanding of course). wink

I am going to see it in a couple of days. The movie theaters on the military bases overseas premier it a little bit later. Like you said mistress, I am more excited to see the big battle scenes than the love story. I really want to see yoda fight again. I really am excited to get to see it.

Gee. Star Wars III. It is pretty damn pimpin' looking. I believe that it will be playing in major theaters until the en of the year! Well, I've never been a big star wars fan.. Didn't know what all the hub-ub was about... But since there is one, and this is probably the last star wars movie, I will have to see it... IF I can get tickets... sweatdrop
I plan on going and seeing it tonight, tomorrow, or Snday, it all depends. It looks really awesome.. Sort of a new edge to it... As for the other star wars movies?? I fell asleep during most of them, especially the phantom menace. All I remember about that movie was that Guy who added 'sa' on the end of everything he said.. He was a riot.. Yeah....
