Which episode of RD was the first you remember watching? Did you see the series in order, from the first episode on, or come in in the middle of a season?
They didn't have RD in the States, so I didn't know anything about it when it first came out. I was watching Ontario public TV late one night on a small screen black-and-white TV late at night when I caught the middle and tail end of Kryten. I knew right away that I was going to love this show. I got a tape into my VCR and managed to get The End, Parallel Universe and Queeg on tape before the Ontario station stopped showing RD.
What was your first RD experience?

I'm one of the lucky ones that got to see if from the beginning, though not on TV. As I've said before, RD has always been in my house - my Dad started watching it the year before I was born and bought each video as they came out. I was about 3 or 4 when he sat down with me and shoved the first three episodes into the video player. The End came on, and from the moment I heard that glorious word "smeg", I was hooked! ^-^ Lol, a toddler RD junkie!

I also saw it from the beginning, I want to say... Maybe a year ago. My parents fell in love with it when PBS showed it for a brief time in the States and years later I said something to my mom that made her start telling me all about the Cat, so my dad bought the first season online somewhere. I was hooked instantly and watched that DVD over and over until he finally gave in and bought the next two or three. It went like that for a while, and now we have all eight. biggrin

I don't really remember too well which episode I saw first. Which one did you show me first eva? I think it was parallel universe.

I've always known Red Dwarf, but my first episode that i watched was probably Polymorph, or at least one of the first i remember..ACTUALLY! I have faint memorys of one episode with Kat...Dancing..With the Blue Midget

Well. I started seeing them in '87 or 88' Cannot remember what year My PBS channel started showing them. But, I saw them from start to finish. mrgreen

I started with the first episode. My friend gave me a copy of some episodes, and I was like "Which one is first?" Then I watched it. I was like "OMFG this show pwns the socks off my mother with a chocolate spoon on crack." Then I slapped myself for saying such a strange and stupid sentence.

It was also the first episode you ever memorized word for word. Thank goodness I found the tapes, because you wore the color right off my off-the-TV home-made version! biggrin

I'm British, so I was lucky enough to watch them when they came out. It was so long ago I can't remember which one I saw first xd

The first episode I ever saw was Legion. I was 9 at the time. I actually came in halfway through the episode (the scene where Cat smells something, but it's almost off his nasal spectrum).
The first one I saw in full was Gunmen of the Apocalypse.
Oh, and the episode with Cat dancing with Blue Midget? Back In The Red Part Three.

The first episode I ever saw was The End. My friends got me into the show, and they had the first 5 seasons on DVD, so we watched them in order. pirate I'm glad I did because otherwise I would have been a bit confused...
