Without so much as an introduction, Taerel wandered off campus, only to find a hill with nobody in sight. It was still early evening, and the stars were yet to be seen.
Domeki gave Taerel a concerned look.
Does she know where she's going?
Taerel walked to the top of the hill and took a seat, running her fingers through the lush, green grass. She took her boots off and wiggles her toes, exposing them to the cool, fresh air.
She took a deep breath and stretched her arms.
"Yahh~! I'm so tired from traveling!!" she said with a smile.
Domeki layed down and lowered his head between his arms, also exhausted.
Taerel pulled out a water bottle from her bag and began to pour it out. The cat began to lap his tounge at the water before it hit the ground. When he had his fill, Taerel drank the remaining water out of the bottle. She wiped her mouth on her sleeve, capped the bottle, and put it back in her bag.
Domeki's eyes slowly began to close. Taerel leaned back and looked up at the wide, clear sky.

Now, having bought brand new clothes, and removing the leaves and twigs from his hair, hopefully Kai was capable of not looking like he had been raised by wolves. He was closer to the school now, and knew this. But now he began feeling a bit nervous. He had never actually tried to start a conversation with anyone. But purhaps there was some one around who could help him practice. As he thought, after crossing a hill, he came across a pink haired girl with a cat. He calmed himself, the way he would if he where about to strike at an opponent, of make a sprint to escape. Lowering his sun glasses to see the girl better, he remarked "Nice cat."

Domeki was the first to sense the newcomer's presence. He turned around and stared at him cautiously, his large yellow eyes narrowing.
"Eh?" Taerel said bluntly. She leaned her head back farther, looking at him from upside-down.
Taerel's face flushed from suprise.
"Hello!" she grinned.
Domeki relaxed his shoulders a bit, dropping his guard. He did not know much about his surroundings, and he had known Taerel for taking careless actions without thinking about them beforehand. He figured he should stay cautious until he knew the school and it's surroundings a bit better.

The first part was easy for him. Commenting in the cat. But now was where most of his conversations ended. He wasn't sure what to say next. Then he mentally slapped himself in the head and responded "Hi." From behind his glasses, his sapphire eyes made contact with the cat's. From that point, he couldn't quite put his finger on it, but he knew the cat wasn't exactly considered normal. Was she a student in the school? That was it! The next question!
"So uh... Do you live around here?" He asked, more easily than he thought it would come out. But soon realized it wasn't exactly what he intended to ask. Either way, it worked.

"Hmm. I suppose you can say that. I attend Koi High School. I believe it is somewhere around here.." she looked at her surroundings. She had absolutely no sense of direction.
Domeki slapped his forehead. She really did get herself lost!! That idiot!!
Luckily, he had a good sense of direction, and could easily lead her back to the school.
"And yourself?" she smiled.

Yes! She could be able to lead me back! Kai thought, not understanding the fact that she was just as lost as he was. Yuri was able to tell, and began snickering at Kai inside his own mind. But chose not to say a word. "Yeah, but I've been away for a while." Kai said with a nod, looking around the area. Of course this also ment she must have some sort of power or gift. It left Kai curious, but from observation, he could tell it had something to do with the cat.
"See, I... kind of left for a long time, and became lost some where. I knew I was close after seeing this semi familiar location. I remember passing it when I left." Bastion said, scratching his head. "So... Know where it is?" He asked, with a look of hope on his face.

"Um.. you see.. I.." Taerel said in attempt to avoid the fact that she was completely lost.
"Yes." Domeki smiled, trying to keep from laughing.

Kai glanced over at the pink haired girl. Even though his eyes where hidden behind his shades, you could tell he was frowning with disapointment. "Don't tell me... Your lost too..." He said slowly, and pittifully. He slowly sank to the ground, looking straight at the grass, squeezing his right fist tightly to vent his annoyance. The annoyance was more aimed at the elemental spirit's laughter inside his head, rather than the girl's incompetence. His mouth slowly slid open, as he turned his head back to the girl. "Did that cat just talk?" He asked, as his anger began to fade away instantly.

"Ah- um- no- I'm sorry- that is.. eheheh.."
Domeki turned his face to the side in attempt the hide the big grin on his face.
"Oh, you mean Domo-kun?" Taerel smiled, still slightly pink in the face.
Domeki's grin disappeared. "Domeki." he corrected her.

Kai's face grew long, as the sun glaces seamed to slide down and tilt, revealing his baffled sapphire eyes. "You really are from Koi High, arent you?" He asked in intruigment. Though talking cats where not uncommon back at home, many of them could only speek through enchantment arcane magic. And it was usually short phrases. This cat seamed to be much more intellegent, speaking clearly. "Domeki, huh?" He asked, as his eyes trailed from the speaking cat to the pink cheeked girl. "And you are?" He asked, rising to his feet, and readjusting his glasses.

Domeki smiled in satisfaction at being respected by the boy.
Taerel also rose to her feet, brushing off her jean shorts and adjusting the ribbon in her hair. She shook his hand rather forcefully before replying, "The name's Taerel, nice to meetchya!"
Taerel gave the boy a sincere smile. "And what is your name?"

Kai almost impulsivly drew his hand back, after it was snatched. But he found he just couldn't. He really wasn't used to some one touching him in a friendly way. Most of the time, it either ment "Danger! Duck!" Or "Alright, whats this guy planning?" But the boy could only look down at his hand in her grip powerlessly. He felt his cheeks begin to flair up in a light embarassment, of his awkwardness. "Uh... Kai... My name is Kai." He said, slowly moving his arm up and down in a shake. A hand shake was supposed to symbolize more than a hello where he came from. It was more of a contract. But he knew it was far from his home. Here it wasn't anything special.

"Hello, Kai!" she said with no particular reason. She just wanted to test it out.
Domeki began to purr. Although he was an intelligent being, he was still a cat. Taerel smiled, and leaned down to pet him on the head. Domeki smiled in response.

Kai rolled his eyes behind the glasses. "Hello Taerel" He said in a friendly tone. "Right... Lets start looking for the school. Things get kind of bad when the sun sets." He informed, looking at the evening sky.
