I'm in the mood to create a fair versus fight that includes one of the Green Lanterns. I'm either making the GL Guy Gardner or Kyle Rayner, because frankly Hal Jordan is over down and I never really cared much for John Stewart. What Anime character would prove to be a good opponent for him?

I wonder if that Z guy or one of the DBZ characters would make a good match.

Only anime characters?
Well the only anime characters I can think of that are as versatile as a GL are all too weak, and the ones that would otherwise be a good match would lose against a GL's versatility, and the ones who are strong enough to overcome it are powerful enough to just blow him away effortlessly.
Eh.... how about Kid Buu?

That would be a good match, my only problem with the fight would be his Henka Beam. I haven't brushed up on my GL 411 in a while so is there any way a GL could prevent that attack? Otherwise Kid Buu would win because of his wonk power.

A forcefield might block it, in the series I don't remember anyone ever trying to block it so it might work.

Besides, the GL ring is supposed to affect all types of energy now. (well as soon as the GL that owns it has overcome the yellow weakness, now known to be fear.)

Alan Scott isn't so much a GL as he uses the power the GL power is kinda derived from. What about Broly?

(he ran through the green lanter CORE's shield) isnt A.M.A.Z.O yellow? eek and besides i would like to see proof on the core vaporize him when they couldnt even stop him or even slow him down on his way to earth. and what limitations does he have?

The Rings no longer have the yellow weakness as seen on Green Lantern: Rebirth. Once the GL overcomes great fear, he can affect yellow as well. The main GL corps are all able to affect yellow (Hal, Kyle, Guy, John and Kilowog)
quite a few others as well as seen in GL Corps: Recharge. Only GL noobs can't affect yellow these days. mrgreen
