I give you what I have been doing with myself over the last few days.

A comissioned (my first!) portrait.

A batgirl because I was trying out a trial of some drawing software called "Alias" and wasn't feeling very original. I haven't got round to colouring it properly yet, I was just blocking in some ideas for her outfit.

(ooohh, progression!)

A signature for me. (which I used for a grand total of like 4 days, then got bored of. I got lots of nice PM's about it though.)

As you can see I'm doing lots of quickies on the computer. There is a reason for this...

This is the reason.

A behemoth of an acrylic painting that I don't plan on finishing for months. It's my summer project to keep me sane when I am spending my days in an office to make some moolah.
It tends to loom at me though, whenever I think of doing something else.

Plus, I have my exams next week and I'm supposed to be revising, eep!

Buh bye!

From what I can see in your drawn stuffs, the form you use for people seems to be stiff.

Like the wire frame is made of straight lines, or somthing. I suggest just working on the underdrawing of things before you move onto coloring smile

What I do, is I will draw the part of the person I want to work on. Like hips for example, then after I get some reasonable hips drawn, I just draw around it very loosely. Draw shapes you like, and make them a person, or a whatever you are drawing!
(works for me, and I find it fun d: )

As for your photo, I quite like it. It's kinda boring, but it's done well. Good good.

I don't know, I suppose they are like that because I do draw a rigid wire frame!

I always start my figures with a stick man. I need to because if I don't my proportions go all to pot in the pose. I think I am getting better at making them more...dynamic, but the emphasis is on getting better; not, you know, good.

It's funny you like the photo. I just stuck it up there because I had it on my imageshack collection. We got a brief glimpse of the sun this weekend and I was at the beach. It's from my mobile phone. whee

Thats awesome, becasue I was talking to Dr. V about how the block-y-ness really adds to the photo. Makes texture kinda', which is cool.
