 1. He's not for sale! - Ever since I spotted the suggestion for this shop I've wanted a Jumi, and to top that off Zydeth was a gift from a good friend. This translates to my Jumi never being for sale, so please don't ask.
2. It's nothing personal ... - When I roleplay my characters, I'm doing just that. Nothing that I type is meant to be personal unless it is done out of character (OOC). I appreciate it when other roleplayers do the same for me. Let's keep roleplaying fun, folks!
3. Oooo, presents! - Did you want to drop off a gift for Zydeth? Feel free! Just make sure to do so in character (IC). Remember, my Jumi or his adoptive mother will react to your gift in character, so be prepared for it.
4. No god modding or l33t speak! - I regard god modding and l33t speak as being the ultimate of evils for any message board community. God modding is when a character is supremely powerful and/or doesn't give other characters a chance to counter their actions. L33t speak is when numbers are subsituted for letters and/or words are shortened into acronyms such as 'OMGZLOL!!'. If these are your preferred methods of roleplaying, kindly take them elsewhere.
5. Steal and run, the mods will come. - Do not steal any of the ideas or images in this diary, as all are copyrighted to their creators. I'm not against reporting someone to the moderators for such theft.
6. How'd you learn that so fast? - Zydeth will be growing into his role as a Jumi Knight slowly, and I plan on him learning the use of the flail as a weapon. I may add on more as he expands his knowledge, but that's up to Rena. As of right now I don't know if Rena will allow us access to any of the special moves from Legend of Mana, but I hope so. Zydeth's techniques (if allowed) cannot be learned from mere observation. Once he knows them, he'll have to teach your character over a period of time in order for them to learn them, or they can set out to train on their own. The same applies to any crafting that Rena allows Zydeth to perform, whether it be for instruments or weapons.
7. What part of 'private property' don't you understand? - Zydeth will be growing fruits and vegetables in his garden behind the treehouse, and Shi will take care of such when he cannot do so. I'm not about to assume that he can grow the special fruits and vegetables from Legend of Mana, but he will be using the same seeds from the game once I get permission for his garden to have a treant of its own. What comes from this garden belongs to Zydeth and Shi, and can only be picked and taken elsewhere when I give permission to do so.
8. They're friendly enough, just don't wriggle your fingers ... - The corral is fashioned after the Monster Corral from the game, and will start off as a home for Zydeth's rabite. Or at least it will once the lil bugger gnoshes on the carrot Shi's set out as bait. More monsters will be added if Rena allows it, but it will only be able to hold up to five, just like the corral in Legend of Mana. Feel free to interact with whatever monsters are inside the corral or are grazing, just remember what's been mentioned about their personalities in the Monster Corral post.

Monsters: Well, there's the carrot, but that's not really a monster, is it?
Core: Ivory
Appearance: To call Zydeth slim is accurate enough for most, but a discerning eye can tell that this youth has potential in his developing muscles. This Jumi's eyes are the color of his core, and even reflect light much as polished discs of ivory would. He's outdoors quite a bit, and yet seems unable to get even a light tan. Being very rough and tumble when he's playing, though all in good fun, Zydeth is often herded into taking a bath when Shi notices how grimey he gets. His hair somehow gets unruly and pokes out in all directions, no matter how often Shi combs it. He does keep his horns brightly polished, as well as the three gemstones embedded in his forehead, as these seem to be his favorite features. He could care less about the dirt under his nails, the brushing of his teeth, or even the cleaning behind his ears at bathtime. Shi hasn't given up trying to teach him personal hygiene, and is just stubborn enough to keep redirecting him when he slips.
Strata: Clod
Job: It's not an 'offical' profession, but Shi calls Zydeth her 'Little Helper'. Part of the reason he's gotten so dirty lately is because he's been helping Shi move the dusty stuff out of the backyard's abandoned building, so they can clean up the inside and figure out what to use the entryway and the three large rooms for.
Partner: He's a bit young for that.
Likes: Zydeth's hobbies are a study in diversity. Since moving into the treehouse he's discovered that the orchard to the side of the house needs tending, and he seems to have the green thumb that Shi and Nyn both lack. He also has a hankering to learn how to fight so he can go off and 'adventure', just like his idolized big sister, Tsumi, does. He's made himself a pair of blunted off sticks that he swings around at tree branches and the like for 'combat practice'. Shi lets this go, but she puts her paw down when he tries to bring such antics into the house. He also seems fond of being helpful, and has been known to volunteer often when a chore about the house needs doing. Shi's pretty convinced that this started once she turned chores into different kinds of games to make them more fun. It should also be noted that Zydeth is drawn to anything that is really soft, like Shi's fur. It's more common for him to sleep cuddled up next to Shi on her bed at night than to sleep on his own. Shi doesn't seem to mind, though she keeps telling herself that she can't cater to his whims forever.
Dislikes: While Zydeth doesn't mind washing up before meals, or even brushing his teeth after eating, he hates taking baths. Shi suspects that he's scared to put his head below the surface of the water, mostly because he has yet to do so and seems to flinch when his face gets near a body of any liquid that exceeds a depth of two inches. So far, she hasn't pushed him to tell her for certain if he's afraid. He's also not fond of wearing too much clothing, though this really doesn't bother Shi or any of the other housemates much. Every now and then Zydeth will come downstairs from getting ready for the day without a stitch of clothing on, and the day progresses as per normal. Shi has reminded Zydeth to run upstairs and get dressed once when company was coming over, and since then he's gotten the hint that company equals the necessity of clothing.
Chosen Weapon: Practice weapons (Two sticks that have been sanded down so they have little chance of splinters)
Chosen Armor: None as of yet.
Favorite Possessions: It's a toss up between his practice sticks and his old pillow, which he cuddles at night as if it is a teddy bear.

Family: Eirnae (Mistress), Nyn (Sister), Zydeth (Son), Lasse (Eirnae's messenger)
Friends: None, for now.
Appearance: Despite being humanoid, Shi is still very much a Mozou. Her eyes are an icey blue, and her straight frosty silver hair falls just past her shoulders. Her fur is mainly blue with silver accents, and her paws have baby blue pads. Shi is a flightless creature, for her silver wings aren't strong enough to lift her off of the ground at all. She favors the colors of black and silver, though she does own a lacey lilac silk nightgown that she keeps well hidden in her bureau's topmost drawer. Both of her ears are pierced, and she usually wears a single pair of sapphire heart earrings that Eirnae gave her upon the Mozous's evolution into an adult.
Job: Librarian, Lore Seeker
Mate: Yeah, right ...
Likes: Shi loves to read. It's not uncommon for her to finish a couple of a books in a day. Just about the only times she isn't seen with a book in her hands is when she's compiling research or organizing the treehouse's library. Though she isn't likely to admit it, Shi also adores children of any race. When amongst those younger than her, the playful and caring side of Shi's personality takes over.
Dislikes: Loud noises grate on Shi's nerves, with the exception of hearing a particularly annoying individual get scolded. She tends to avoid social situations, preferring to cuddle up on something soft and read a good book to any sort of interaction.
Chosen Weapon: The closest thing Shi has ever used to a weapon are the claws she was created with.
Chosen Armor: Shi will likely never utilize armor beyond that which her fur naturally gives her.
Favorite Possessions: Shi treasures her collection of books, scrolls, and other works of literature. She's also very fond of her sapphire heart earrings and silver collar. The latter's tag is engraved with Shi and Eirnae's names, as well as a small heart.
Blacksmithing: I doubt that Shi will get into this.
Techniques: We'll just have to see.
Enchanted Instruments: It's possible that she may yet own some of these, with Zydeth's help in making them.

Personality: Eirnae is a mish-mash of contradictions. She's an ex-mercenary and rogue, yet she's vowed to protect the lives of the innocent and refuses to steal but from those who are dishonorable or are already dead. She is a shadowdancer, and can travel through the Shadow Plane at will, but she seeks and worships the light of her Lady Silverhair's moon. She was born and raised amongst the elves of the surface, but she chooses to follow a good aligned Drow deity. These go on and on. To sum up Eirnae as a whole, she is utterly devoted to her family and furthering their happiness.
Relation: Shi's Mistress
Zydeth Feels: "I haven't met Eirnae yet, though momma tells me that she is the one who gave her my core to take care of. I'm not sure what I'll say to Eirnae when I do meet her. Should I thank her or ask why she didn't want me?"
Shi Feels: "I'm never sure quite how to think about Eirnae. She's a giving woman, and has never failed to be kind to me and Nyn. Yet I always get this eerie feeling when she's not around that she really hasn't left, and is watching me from the shadows. Have you ever tried to focus on reading, or any task at all, when you feel you are being watched? Ugh ... I can deal with Lasse's bouts of chattiness better than I can that creepy feeling."

Race: Mozou
Personality: Nyn is the shy and quiet sort. She prefers to remain silent, letting body language serve as her medium of communication. It's not that she doesn't like company, she just doesn't seem to know exactly how to act when around others. She loves to cuddle, and shows her acceptance of someone by rubbing them as a feline would starting with her chin and continuing along her muzzle. She's very protective of Shi, who she sees as an older sibling. Her and Zydeth developed a fast friendship, and she's now often seen following after him and trying to get involved in whatever activities he's doing.
Relation: Zydeth's aunt, Shi's sister
Zydeth Feels: "I was afraid that Nyn and I wouldn't get a chance to get to know each other when first met her. She wouldn't even come near me, and kept hiding whenever I tried to go to her. I was surprised when she ended up curled up around me that night. Maybe she could tell that I missed Tsumi? Since then, Nyn wants to do everything that I do. Sometimes it's annoying, because I don't want to be followed around all of the time, yet at the same time she's the closest I've had to a playmate since Tsumi. She's also the only one in the house who is willing to spar with me, though tying a stick to her tail was tough at first."
Shi Feels: "Nyn and I were created at the same time, though I am a bit older by a few minutes. She's my little sister, and we look after one another. Since Zydeth came into our lives, Nyn has taken to watching over him for me. I was tempted to get a snapshot of Zydeth and Nyn playing at sparring recently, because the sight of Nyn with that silly stick tied to her tail was too funny to not have a record of. Maybe I'll get myself a camera and do so the next time I can catch them in the act."

Gender: Female
Race: Idle Thought
Personality: The trick, really, is how to get Lasse to be quiet once you've gotten her talking. She can be silent for long periods of time, which suits both Shi and Nyn fine. However, once you start up a conversation with her, this Idle Thought seems determined to not let the subject die. Lasse likes to bathe herself in the sun every morning and afternoon. This happens often enough that Shi's joked with Lasse that the Idle Thought is 'recharging her voicebox'. Luckily for Shi, Lasse finds such comments to be amusing. Unluckily for Shi, Lasse often takes such as an invitation to start calling the Mozou a bookworm, amongst other playful nicknames.
Relation: Eirnae's Idle Thought, the 'Mistress's Messenger'
Zydeth Feels: I don't kno why Shi and Nyn don't like Lasse. While she does talk a lot, she also likes to help me plant stuff in the orchard. She can reach the really high berries that grow on the vine that wraps around top of the tree, and brings them down to me so I can take the fruit to Shi for snacks. I hope to use the seeds for something soon. Maybe some of the other Jumi would like vines of their own?"
Shi Feels: "Just when I think that moving into the treehouse would rid me of having to deal with Eirnae on a daily basis, along comes Lasse. You'd think that being Eirnae's would draw her to go back to Emerald Haven more often, yet she spends more time here than there! I suspect that Eirnae sent her to keep an eye on me. How annoying."

"As soon as I discovered the existence of this other world, I set about finding myself and Nyn a place to live within it. I came across a large house that was built right next to a very tall tree, and since it seemed abandoned Nyn and I moved in. Now that Zydeth is a member of our family, we plan to stay here for good. It's what is best for Zydeth, though we do plan to go back to Gaia now and then to stay in touch with Eirnae.
This place is still a work in progress. It came prefurnished, and though the furniture was dusty and covered in places by cobwebs they are solid wood and are cleaning up nicely. I find the housework to be calming, as Zydeth has proved to be a very active child. At least sweeping the floors is something that I can do slowly while remembering parts of what I last read."

 "There is this barn off to the side of the treehouse. I'm not really sure what to do with it, though I have gone through it and cleaned it some since we moved in."
"I found this carrot growing in the vegetable garden, and got this crazy idea to set a wooden box trap with it as the bait. The whole contraption is now to the side of the barn, by the fence. I doubt we'll catch anything with it, but who knows?"

 "After a bit of exploring of the property surrounding the treehouse, I discovered that there is an orchard practically in what could be considered our backyard. The soil here is rich, and likely would result in some beautiful fruits and vegetables if I can get the seeds to plant them."

 "Behind the treehouse is an old building packed full of dusty old furniture, candlesticks, and other brickabrack. I'm guessing it was used only for storage by the last person who lived here. There are three large rooms that branch off of the main entrance, all which have stairs leading either up to their doors. Zydeth and I are working together on clearing them out one by one."
