[--RULES--]

While we try to be laid back in the Bahari'mtoto we do need to stress that it's important for you to follow the rules laid out in the Bahari'mtoto pride.

For this reason we ask you to check below and make sure you're happy to follow these rules before applying for breedings!

1. You must receive permission to breed by posting in this thread; when you have received approval you can then post for your breeding.

2. All ownerlist posts must be up to date in order to secure breeding permission.

3. Adolescent breedings are not allowed.

4. Your Bahari'mtoto is allowed to breed with those outside the pride provided it is a monogamous relationship. This means that your lion or lioness will only be allowed to breed with that specific partner going forward.

5. Polygamy is not allowed in breedings.

You can RP a polygamous relationship, but those lions can only breed with one particular in the group. This is to prevent inbreeding and other complications.

6. In the event of gay or hybrid couples, you may ask to use a surrogate.

7. Due to the small number of familiars in the pride, these individuals are allowed to rogue breed.

8. Divorce is possible.

While we would love for every partnership to stay the same forever, RL happens and people disappear. In this case you can break off 'pairs' and seek out another mate to pair your lion with. Please note that if you do this too often, you will no longer be granted a divorce... please choose your partners carefully.

9. Rogue breeding is allowed at any time, though please be mindful of pride traditions i.e. family units, not flings!

If you decide to go this route, please be advised that the female lioness must leave the Bahari and live in one of the alliance prides for the duration of her pregnancy. When the cubs have reached adolescence and taken their rites, they can rejoin the pride. When the cubs are able to defend themselves the lioness can return at any time.

If a male lion has a relationship with a lioness outside the pride, no further action will be taken unless she leaves these cubs in his care. If these cubs are left in his care he will also be required to leave and raise these in one of the Bahari'mtoto's alliance prides until they have taken their rites.

Please wait for clarification on which prides will be available for you. You may choose to live in the Kizingo'zaa if you wish, but as per Puzzle's declaration you will be at their mercy. Shui will be attempting to locate alliances within other prides where the mothers and fathers are embraced and properly cared for during this period.

A Bahari'mtoto Mini Meta

Hello all, as part of the Bahari'mtoto Mini Meta we'll be doing something special for February - We'll be opening rogue breeding. This will be opened slightly early so that you can make preparations and plot whatever you would like to.

For full details on how this will work, please see below!

Event Duration:
26/01/17 12:00 EST - 28/02/17 12:00 EST

What's Open:
Rogue Breedings (Including any M&Ms that might pop up)
Normal Breedings

Restrictions:

1. You still need to use the normal breeding forms!
   
2. Rogue breedings will still need permission from Drani/Epee, they won't receive a "no", we just need to record them.
   
3. One lion can only have one 'breeding' i.e. your lion can't sleep with everything that moves!
   
4. Once you get permission in this month, you can enter that lion/lioness for as long as it takes to receive your rogue breeding.
   
5. Once your lion has received their rogue breeding they may not request another one; even when these permissions open again.
   
6. You may enter for multiple lions/lionesses (though try to be reasonable...)
   
7. The cubs should ideally remain in the Bahari'mtoto.
   
8. Another post will be made by the mule when we close the rogue breedings again. After this, do not apply for one unless it's under exceptional circumstances. All Bahari'mtoto breeding rules will return to normal after the closing date!

The IC Details:
During this meta we will have quite a few Vikings in our midst, this means that not only they will be there, but so will other unknown faces. During this meta the King will recognise that there will be a lot of exciting and attractive new faces... With that comes a certain level of risk.

Accidents happen.

As a consequence, Ram isn't going to look down upon the mistakes the youthful might make during this meta. He'll bear the brunt of the elders and the traditionalists on this occasion!

Once the Vikings have left the Bahari'mtoto will return to normal and traditions should be followed accordingly.

ROGUE BREEDING
STATUS: CLOSED

Rogue breeding is now closed again, please do not ask if your lion or lioness can participate in these for the time being.

All those who are currently approved will remain approved until they have won their slot.

We encourage you to review the breeding rules regarding rogue breeding as this has gotten much more strict to reinforce the culture of the Bahari. This change was necessary as it seemed a fair few people were forgetting the nature of this pride.

Below is a list of what is and is not allowed breeding wise during this period...

Allowed:
- Normal Mated Pairs
- Surrogacy [Will require permission]
- Rule #8 Rogue Breeding

Not Allowed:
- Mix & Match
- Flings from outside pride.
- Flings inside pride.
- Traditional 'Rogue'/Unknown Father breeding

Please note that going forward all flings will be monitored, this means that your Bahari'mtoto lion may be rejected for breeding and asked to leave the pride if they continue to ignore the pride's culture.

This is an oopsy daisy baby situation with an unknown father. No matter who the father ends up being, the boys will convince Udayi to pick one of them as her official mate once it becomes apparent she's pregnant and that she's not sure who the father is. By the time the cubs arrive she'll have settled on one or the other. Spoiler alert, it'll probably be Kari unless Kimaria and I come up with a plot we like better where she picks Dagr.
