The forest path she was on was a new one to her memory. She had stumbled across it while wandering around the edges of the camp that she had come to know as her home. The female watched the canopy above her as she walked. Careful of where she stepped as there were many branches and such in her way. Her tail flickered behind her as she heard a rustling. She turned her head quickly catching sight of a large wolf. Was that a skinwalker? No...couldn't be. Those monsters were kept far away thanks to the combined efforts of Valerius and L.A...maybe a little bit of Trent thrown in. It mattered little to her what that cowboy hat did...
She paused seeing yet another wolf. Okay, yeah. Those were not skinwalkers. Those were hunting members of a pack...great. She looked around again trying to figure out if she should help the poor creature they were hunting or if she should leave it be. She was going to leave it be till she saw the small wolf that was hanging around the campsite recently. Polaris.
"Polaris. You're suppose to be helping Sorin scout for berries." she said as the small beast slid in front of her.
"I'm going back to tell Valerius that a wolf pack is going after baskets! There's a young father whose being targeted just over the hill there!" the wolf yipped out as he hightailed it past her. Tuskiko's eyes went wide as she took off in a full gallop. As she came over the hill she saw the spotted father. Her instincts kicked in when a wolf came up behind him. A glimmer of a basket caught her eye before she leaped into action.
A quick gliding leap that is. Right on the wolf's back. Being as she was small for a mare...thanks entirely to her flutter blood, she doubted that she did much in the way of fatal damage. But her message was clear.
Back. Off.
She let out a low growl as she flared her wings. Standing a little ways to the male's side she spoke.
"Here to help. Saw the wolves and couldn't let them take a basket."
