And it's not a Gaia avatar contest or anything related to Gaia. I actually won it on a podcast. A Dragonball podcast to be precise (because I like it). And I'm sure it was a difficult win because they pulled my name out of a bag, and since thousands of people listen to the podcast weekly... What did I win? A free DBZ DVD with a starter box. Not a huge thing to win, but still good and somewhat expensive ( Here is the picture of my prize). Here is the proof in my Gmail inbox. I cut out some of the page because my address was listed. ...And if you actually care and want to hear the announcement, here is the link to the episode mp3. The contest announcement starts at about 40:17. Even if you don't care, you can have a chuckle at how he pronounces my last name (It's Rea, pronounced ray). Far be it from me to use this thread as a way of glorifying my achievement, though. I think it'd be cool to hear what kind of contests all the rest of you may have won.

Hey, good on you! I used to love Dragonball Z until DBGT came out. GT was just so lame compared to the first two series.
Anyway, contests I've won...none, not that I can remember. sad

Hey, good on you! I used to love Dragonball Z until DBGT came out. GT was just so lame compared to the first two series.
Anyway, contests I've won...none, not that I can remember. sad

...[Shadow was here]... Honestly, I have only seen 3 or less episodes of GT. It's not that it wasn't so bad a series, it just seemed to me that they were cashing in on the name. I mean, the plot was pretty convoluted and difficult to swallow. But hey, it doesn't matter to me really. I get to watch Great Saiyaman do his Power Ranger/Sailor Moon-inspired poses on this DVD!

I don't recall winning contests like that, Wes, but I've definitely won free bottles of soda from underneath bottle caps. The latest contest was giving away free 1 liter bottles. I won about 5 of them from under the caps of 20 ounce bottles. I think I've got a slight addiction to soda...hmm

Remember those school bottle caps that had an amount of money on it so that you could trade them in for cash at your school? Most I've won was $5.00 or so, but my brother once won $50.00! I used to win free sodas, but I never seem to get anything except stupid codes to win Xbox 360s and pimped-out cars anymore. Forget expensive devices and automobiles, I want my soda.

Oh wow, an anime DVD! That's so cool, I'm happy for you! I enter contests at AnimeNewsNetwork.com all the time hoping to win one of their DVD box sets, but no such luck as of yet.
I've won some writing contests, but I all got was a crummy ribbon. I won a coloring contest when I was six and got a free pizza. But the coolest prize I have ever won was an autographed hockey stick. I'm a season-ticket holder for the local team and my seat number was called, so it was really a luck-of-the-draw sort of thing. Man, did I feel cool though.

Congrats!
I never win anything. I think I won a costume contest when I was eight in my neighborhood for Halloween and got a Goosebumps wall-hang as a prize.
And, nope, haven't won a costume since I don't think.

I still haven't got it. I guess the guy didn't want to spring for the 3-5 day shipping.
I once had a scarecrow costume (like off of Wizard of Oz). Won a few contests with that, but nothing huge. Just a big chocolate bar and a Dallas Cowboys sweater (which was weird because I won it in Idaho). Oh, and a 10$ Wal-Mart gift card (but this was, like, 1998 or something).
