Appearance:Kaleir is a fairly average looking women, she's nether a great beauty nor ugly enough to be memorable, for the most part she's almost a bit forgettable really, tanned skin, brown eyes, medium brown hair,average height and an athletic build.
She doesn't seem too concerned about her lack of beauty however and doesn't try to dress herself up to seem less plain, she is typically found wearing good solid work sound clothing and keeps her hair in an easy to manage pony tail as she goes about her day. There are far more important things to do then waste your time making yourself look pretty after all.
Personality:Driven - If there is a goal to be reached then Kaleir will try her best to get there, she is always striving to be better then she was before in order to achieve these goals and spends a great deal of time attempting to learn new skills or studying history - the more you know the better off you'll be when it comes time to test yourself right?
Diplomatic - Kaleir is no push over, she's not going to roll over and let you have your way if she really doesn't think your in the right..but she's not closed off to new ideas and better plans either. If you can convince her that your idea is a good one then she'll negotiate a way to make it work , hopefully without upsetting anyone. Perhaps because of her love of knowledge Kaleir prefers to settle issues logically rather then forcefully. People can normally be reasoned with and Kaleir would far rather reason with you then fight with you.
Well-Meaning - Kaleir, as a general rule, tends to like people and tends to see the good in everyone she meets. Sure so and so might be a bit grouchy..but they are really good at organizing things! Is the type of thought that tends to cross her mind - and while that means she's generally pretty good as knowing who would be best at what task..it can also blind her to a persons faults. By and large her well meaning nature is a good trait however as it makes her compassionate and kind to those she meets even if they might be having an off day and prefer to be left alone.
Competitive - While Kaleir is kind and generally good natured she's also highly competitive. If there is a hint of competition to the task then Kaleir will throw herself in with gusto..sometimes a bit to much gusto. In her drive to be the best Kaleir might loose sight of just why they are accomplishing the task in the first place...or push herself or her team a bit too hard in order to 'win'. Although she is often apologetic after the fact her competitive drive is hardly an attractive trait while things are going down and might sour people's opinion of her, at least in the short term. However if you can deal with her pressure during the games and you really, really want to win then you might want her on your side.
Self-Critical - As a general rule Kaleir often feels like she could have done better then she did - even if those around her think the results are more then satisfactory. This inner nagging voice telling her that whatever she did wasn't good enough is likely what fuels her drive to know and learn more. Because she is often inwardly disappointed in herself Kaleir can appear quite humble when others voice praise over her accomplishments, preferring to look into how it could be done better the next time around.
Impatient - Kaleir would much prefer it if everything was done now, she hates waiting around and can become quite irritable when someone holds things up, regardless of the reason. The time it takes to learn a new skill can be difficult because while she understands that one does not become the best at something overnight it doesn't mean she has to like spending all that time required to get there.

Strengths:Organized - Although her weyr isn't exactly the cleanest of places ( really who has time to waste cleaning?) Kaleir has a great knack for knowing where everything is. She recalls information, numbers and locations seemingly without much trouble and can memorize things quickly, spewing them back seasons later if and when they become relevant.
Creative - Kaleir can think outside the box, if the currents methods just aren't working for whatever reason she won't rest until she finds a way that does, even if some of the ideas are a bit off the wall she's willing to give them at least a try. She's artsy and enjoys sketching things along side whatever notes she's made on the subject currently being studied
Persistent - Kaleir won't give up, despite whatever obstacles are set before her and takes great pleasure in finally figuring something out.
Weaknesses:
Controlling - Once in a while Kaleir tends to try and take over a situation - typically this is a result of her competitive nature rearing its ugly head, with a win on the line Kaleir can become a controlling and perhaps pushy person. She'll likely apologize for it later, it was just a heat of the moment lack of discretion - but sometimes the damage has already been done.
Nosy - Her desire to know things can sometimes press her into sticking her nose in where it doesn't belong. Oh did I hear an interesting conversation over there? Should go and check that out! Inserting herself in other peoples business is not always welcomed even if she doesn't mean to be annoying, she just wants to learn!
Naive - While Kaleir might want to know everything there is to know when it comes to Pern, when it comes to people she can be a bit blind, her knack for noting the good in everyone she meets means that sometimes she tends to gloss over the bad parts which can get her into trouble if she happens to fall into the wrong crowd.
