Cody is a normal human who had hooked up with a neko girl. They ended up having a baby girl but the mother didnt survive. He did his best to take care of his daughter and did good but when she was a year old, it was late as he heard a knock at the door. He opened it to find a child in a blanketed basket, it was a little wolf/inu girl. Their was a note that said, "Im sorry to leave this little girl ate your doorstep... i have no home for her to have a happy childhood. I smelled your daughters scent and figured you a father as i say you playing with her and making her laugh... im sorry to give you another but please help her be happy to." In which not wanting to leave the child alone, he takes her in but as the girls mature as sisters, one a feline and one a canine, can he truly keep up with them?  It was about 10 PM at Cody's home. There was a rainstorm going on outside with thunder and lightning as well as heavy rain. There was suddenly a knock on the front door, as a small, cold, wet, and hungry baby girl lay on Cody's porch inside of a basket with a note attached. It read "I'm sorry to leave this little girl ate your doorstep... I have no home for her to have a happy childhood. I smelled your daughters scent and figured you a father as i say you playing with her and making her laugh... I'm sorry to give you another but please help her be happy to." It also had her name and birth date as well as some documents for adoption in a plastic envelope so they wouldn't get ruined.
The little girl's name was Kaori Crystal, but there was no last name at the time. Crystal was weak from hunger as her father had no money to feed her today. She cried, almost screaming her head off, to get some food in her stomach as she laid in basket. Being no more than a few months old, Kaori was still very young. She was younger than Sophie by about 6 months, but was cute as a button. She had only her tail to keep her warm and even though it was very fluffy, and her ears were soft to the touch, she was shivering as she was in the basket, soaking wet from the rain that was pouring down and blowing onto her and the towels she was wrapped in, hoping that someone would feed her soon.

When the little girl had appeared on his door step, he had been asleep in his office but hearing the crying he woke up as he began to rush to Sophie but found her at the stairs looking at the door. Making sure she was okay he cracked open the front door looking around till his focus shifted onto the basket. He closed and removed the chain allow him to fully open the door. He gently went to the girl, "Shh... its alright..." he said softly as he held her in his arms, picking up the basket. He looked around finding no but discovered the note. He couldnt believe it but he couldnt leave her alone so he ended up feeding and soon adopted her. A year has passed for the girl and the family, Sophia was now 6 with Kaori Crystal Hepkia following behind her. The two girls shared a room, having a bed on either side giving them plenty of space. As sophie began to wake up, she got out of ber bed and went over to Crystal jumping onto her bed happily, "Wake up sleepy sis... we have to get ready...its Daddys birthday!" She said happily to her younger sis.

Kaori woke up and rubbed her left eye with a yawn before saying "Me up sissy...." She was never one to wake up too early. Then as she got ready she went under her bed and got out her present for Cody with a smile. "Do sissy want to share my pwesent for daddy?" She asked having had a speech problem since she started talking. She always had some kind of problem but being her tough, goofy, sweet self she got over them with hardly anymore trouble. Plus she had Cody and Sophie to help her when things got too bad to handle herself. As she showed Sophie the drawing she made, she wagged her tail. She had this talent, from the moment she was able to start drawing, to get the picture just right before she was able to give it to anyone. She was an artist deep down. Kaori looked up to her big sister. To Kaori, Sophie was her best friend and her protector. Well they protected each other at Day care. Kaori was going to start Kindergarten in a few months and she was scared that she wouldn't fit in. When Sophie started school, Kaori through a fit. She didn't like being without her big sister too much as they did everything together. Kaori loved Sophie with all her heart and knew that Sophie felt the same.

Sophie smiled to her as she had begun to wake but when she had gotten the present she smiled, "Oh thats cool!" She said thinking that was a good gift as she got hers. Come on lets go wake him up she said getting her homemade card she made for him. Sophie walked to his door with Kaori, her catlike tail swaying gently behind her as she quietly snuck into his room. He had been a bit asleep when he felt Sophie trying to sneak onto the bed and when she was about to try waking him he gently but quickly hugged her, "Gotcha!" He said as she burst in laughter but she hugged him, "Happy birthday Daddy!" She said happily but Cody smiled, "Oh right... thank you Sophie." He said then noticed Kaori, "Good morning Koari, how did you both sleep?" He asked happily to both girls but Sophie smiled, "Good!" She said happily.

"Me slept good daddy." She said as she hugged him too. "We has pwesents for you daddy!" She said handing him the envelope with her drawing inside. She giggled as she handed it to him. The picture was of all of them in front of the house smiling. Kaori smiled as she waited for Cody to open his present from her and her sissy.

Cody smiled as he sat in bed as he looked at the envelope but he gently picked it up from her hand as he gently opened it. He looked at the drawing and smiled, "I love it Kaori!" He said happily as he then got the homemade card from Sophie where he smiled and looked at them. He gently picked up Kaori and hugged her and Sophia, "Im happy to have such amazing daughters to make my birthday special." He said happily as he felt like even though he lost his wife, these girls filled his heart with love and happiness.

Kaori laughed as he hugged her and Sophie. "Me love you daddy!" She said smiling at him as he hugged them. She then kissed his cheek wagging her tail in happiness. Kaori was a daddy's girl at heart and because of that, whenever he had to work she would pitch a fit while the babysitter pulled her off him and Sophie would help cheer her up. She didn't like being without him or her big sissy. To her it was unfair that he had to work away from home. She didn't like his boss either because he looked really scary.

Cody smiled as he heard what she and Sophie said as Sophie agreed before she smiled, "Lets get some breakfast." She said as her stomach growled but he laughed as he carried them to the kitchen and began to make them a their favorite breakfast. He was working to make money but being a graphic designer it was to have enough to pay for his own work equipment to work at home and that would be soon as he finally got it to work out at the office.

Kaori sat in her chair on one side of Cody while Sophie sat on the other. Kaori smiled as Cody made breakfast. They were still too young to cook but Kaori loved to help whenever Cody made a cake or something. She and Sophie would share the mixing bowl and whatever batter was left inside of the bowl. Kaori looked over at Cody and said "Daddy want help?" She had the sweetest voice anyone would ever hear and she knew it always made Cody smile. She smiled at him hoping he would let them help somehow.

Cody looked at them when Kaori asked if they could help and Sophie nodded, "Alright... do you two mind mixing the chocolate chips into the waffle batter?" He asked putting the bowl of batter and the bag of chocolate chips next to them so they could mix it. Cody walked over to the stove and began to cook the sausage discs for them as they got the batter ready.

The girls had this deal where they would take turns stirring each time they helped Cody with making something. This time it was Kaori's turn to stir and Sophie could pour in the chocolate chips. Kaori giggled as they each stole one chocolate chip each from the bag when Cody wasn't looking as they normally did when he made something with the chocolate chips. Once the batter was ready, she said "It weady!" Before she tried to carry the bowl over to Cody by herself but it was too heavy for her to lift on her own.

Cody looked at the girls as they finished the batter with the chocolate chips mixed in but as he began to cook it he soon began to pour their milk for them as he set the cups at their chairs. He smiled as he soon made their plates and put their plates down, the stuff cut up for them to enjoy as he made a plate for himself.
