I have to take a 2 day break from Gaia. I'm driving home to Jersey this afternoon in order to drive to a wedding in Maryland tomorrow morning x_x. But really, the wedding will be fun! I can't wait, as this is only the second wedding I've been to where I've been counted as an adult. I even received my own invitation and everything! *grin* However, even though I'll have my laptop with me tonight in Jersey, I won't have computer access in Maryland. We're spending the night in a hotel down there, and so I won't be back online until late Sunday night, when I get back to school.

Sorry for the long explanation, but I didn't want anyone to think I had deserted them after I've been on gaia every day for like the past week or so...or longer. Gaia's the only website that I can honestly say I'm addicted to.

Weddings...fun. But painful if you're a bridesmaid. crying

Especially if you're dressed like Mommy's Little Sailor in the ugliest dress known to mankind.

Or if you're the size of a twig and the bow on the back of your dress makes you look like a straw with a nickle in the middle...

I'm not in the wedding party. I just get to watch.
And enjoy the open bar. twisted

Bridesmaid dresses are very odd creations. For the most part, they are bizarre-looking things nobody would ever wear anyplace but a wedding. I've been a bridesmaid twice, I think. The first time, it was a pink and purple thing with a chiffon overskirt and we wore large picture hats that made us look positively antebellum. The second time, it was a stretchy menopause-blue dress (don't know what color that is? I bet you can imagine it if you think about it!) that made me feel like a sausage with every little bulge magnified five times. Yech.

I hope Blossom has lots of fun at the wedding!
I like weddings, I've been to a whole bunch. My dad has a lot of siblings (sixteen to be exact) and it seems like whenever one of them reaches the age of eighteen they go off and get married.
They're all married in the same church with the same ceremony and everything. It's like I've been to the same wedding six times.

That was probably your high school prom, hon. During the civil war? rofl

It wasn't my high school prom, no, but I did have to worry about the mastodons wanting to eat my hat.

The wedding was absolutely awesome! I had a great time.
And I even got to dance the polka for a while with the groom (my cousin).
So much fun!
