I just accidentally sold my Azreal's wings for 57500 instead of 57500000.

I just reported it and now I just have to wait for someone to do something. It was an accident. I emailed the member but she did not reply. Probably because she knows she is guilty and doesn't want to acknowledge that she is being heartless by taking my item.

Wish me luck in getting my item back. I'm hoping that gaia will help me considering I have spend a lot of money on this site. I have seen members get their items back after miss pricing in the marketplace so who knows.

Has this happened to anyone before? What did you do and did you get your item back?

I did notice an issue like this once while perusing through site feedback - apparently, you can ask for the item back and eventually the admins will respond and allow you to reclaim it. However, I believe the condition is that this can only be done once.

Ah, here it is:

Siskataya Quote:

Over the past year or so, if we were contacted by people about a mis-priced item, we have given many people the item back, removed the gold they got for it as a one-time removal, and warned them to be careful with pricing in the future. This has been done for Club Verge and non-Club Verge members, so it is in no way specific to spending on Gaia.

Clearly, we cannot go back years and years and handle issues of mis-pricing, but if someone else has an issue with mis-pricing a Marketplace item that occurred within the past year, they are certainly free to contact us via the Help Center with that issue and we'll be happy to look into the matter. If your friend contacted us recently and was told no, he/she is certainly free to re-open the ticket and ask for us to review the matter again.

Also, so everyone knows, we only do this once per account, so if one has a habit of mis-pricing items, then he/she needs to be careful about filing a request for this. What we cannot do is continually correct mis-pricing mistakes for the same account.

Click on the Contact Us link on the bottom of any Gaia page. Once at this page,
scroll down until you see the section titled "Still can't find your answer?" and click on the link that says Click Here.
Clicking this link will redirect you to the Help Center ticketing system.
pick General Account Inquiry as the Subject, Account Status as the Topic/Issues With Items/Gold.

Perfect, I already notified them. Surprisingly I did exactly what they expected lol. I'm glad this is the first time it has happened to me.

I hope you learned a lesson. Next time, be sure to check, double check and triple check all the fields to make sure they are correct before submitting that password to confirm.

As for misprices, well, that's the luck and misfortune one has. It's part of life's lessons to make sure you appropriately take caution when making important decisions, because you won't have that "Get out of Jail" free card.

The other user isn't guilty of anything. They caught your mistake, and I don't believe they should be punished for your mistake. If it were me: I would be upset, but take stock in what just happened to make sure it never happens again.

While I agree with you to a certain extent. I believe that people make mistakes. I made this one mistake after being on gaia for the past 10 years.

I've bought miss-priced items before and always have returned them to their rightful owners if they Pm'ed and told me that it was an honest mistake.

Some people like to take advantage of other peoples mistakes, but that's where I differentiate between a kind hearted person, and one who is simply greedy and cares only for their own needs.

Their are certain people who simply scan the marketplace JUST to find those miss prices, those are the kinds of people who I have no respect for.

Interesting how something like this can easily show a persons true character.

Being kind hearted is telling the the user why this happened, and to give them advice on how they can avoid future misprices. Give a man a fish and feed him for a day, teach a man how to fish and feed him for a life time. Giving the item back is only enabling bad habits when dealing with the MP, and expecting others to follow suit if it happens again.

I applaud your effectors, but I personally feel they are not of the right course of action. On the other hand, I do not condone the actions of MP snipers. Monopolizing on misprices isn't entirely healthy for the MP, either.

When it comes to the MP, I no longer give any emotional attachment to the feature. Items come and go like the digital wind. I just don't see the point in getting emotional about it. But then again, I've become more of a logical thinking user rather than an emotional one.

I'm sorry that happened to you!
I used to make mistakes like that all the time, otl. You just have to make sure you're being extra careful when listing items for sale~

The return of the item should be up to the buyer. They can't be to blame for such an amazing deal.

It's interesting to read the replies to this one, especially since I've heard all of them before.

But no, it's never happened to me, and neither have I ever managed to buy a mispriced item. I hesitate. I fear a too-good-to-be-true price. Nothing on Gaia to me is worth my account, and I would rather not handle anything that could be botted or otherwise scammed, stolen, or innocently mispriced.

I certainly know how easy it can be to misprice, since I've caught myself numerous times a click away from letting something go for way too little. And I've felt that p***k of panic because something sold instantly, and I worry it was because I got my numbers wrong. I imagine I would try to ask the buyer to give me a little mercy, but I wouldn't expect anything. It's not too unusual that you didn't get a reply to your message.

I'm actually surprised that Gaia would allow the one-time return. It could so easily be abused by people who care little about trashing one account for the next, and I'm sure it is.

But my gut feeling knows it's blatantly rude and unkind for a buyer to keep a mispriced item, no matter the circumstances. Sure, there is a difference between hurting someone and harming someone in this, and it's certainly not killing anyone to lose digital wealth on an inconsequential entertainment website. However, it still hurts to know that someone is so eager to gain from your misfortune. I would think anyone with a moral compass would feel that guilty twinge at one point, but it's always more profitable and self serving to ignore that, isn't it?

I'm pretty sure you didn't want a sermon, and just want your item back so you can sell it at a good price.

Either way, it's a rude awakening. I'm still worried that I'll lose something valuable over a minor error. I hope you get your wings back. The world is already unkind enough. I'm sure you haven't earned that kind of massive loss just for missing a few zeros.

That is a lot o___o
I hope you get the item back soon
wish you luck that it's resolved quickly and with a satisfying ending

I once mispriced item too, but it's just 180k into 18k
so i treat it as I donate it to the buyer
yours are just too much to be brushed aside like mine

WHAT!? There was this feature!? I did it once too... mispriced something that was around a few mil for x00k... I swallowed it up since it was just one item, and there was nothing I can do about it... It's really too bad I can't remember which one it was.

Hopefully you get your item back soon! 3nodding

Good news everyone, I just received my wings back this afternoon. I am so glad, and now I am selling them for double the price I would have back 2 weeks ago. So exciting.
